INSTANT MBA: Leadership Starts With Complaining And Dissatisfaction
I'm not sure I would compare leading a business like dating but I do agree with this article. Not many people want to be leaders because they are just scared of what comes with it; the most important part is being able to take that first step and take the initiative to fix the problems that are going on. That's something that other employees look up to and it can also motivate them to step up in their roles as well.

INSTANT MBA: Leadership Starts With Complaining And Dissatisfaction
Since becoming a manager, I have always appreciated the employees who challenge my decisions and make me question what I am doing. Most people just agree with me and allow poor decisions to be made, rather than questioning my reasoning behind said decisions. But, it is those few that do question me that I am recommending for promotions. This may seem strange, but it is not that they are opposing me that I appreciate them, but the fact that are paying enough attention and displaying leadership qualities that the followers lack.

INSTANT MBA: Leadership Starts With Complaining And Dissatisfaction
This article has some very strong points. Many people are afraid to become leaders because the responsibility can be scary. When becoming a leader, you have to realize you will make mistakes. This is how you learn and grow within the company. It takes hard work and dedication to be a leader. Also, to be a leader you cannot be afraid to tell people what you expect and when things need to be done differently.

INSTANT MBA: Leadership Starts With Complaining And Dissatisfaction
Great article. I think, as a manager, if you don’t make the companies goals clear, you could potentially lead your employees down difficult path. By being accepting of disagreement, you allow your employees to be empowered and to stick up for what they believe is right. In the end, you company isn’t solely run by you, no matter what you may think.

INSTANT MBA: Leadership Starts With Complaining And Dissatisfaction
Being a leader is very scary, and something that I think is lacking in today world. We need people to be able to stand up and say what they think regardless of what others are going to say, and they have to be willing to do what it takes to change the road the company is on. Leaders are not always liked, and I think that is what makes people scared to be one, but once you hold your hand up and say that "we're going in the wrong direction" people will gain some respect and be willing to hear what you have to say and want to know how to change it.

INSTANT MBA: Leadership Starts With Complaining And Dissatisfaction
Good leaders take responsibility when things start to go bad. They don't just sit around and complain about what is going wrong. If something is not right good leaders do everything possible to make things right again. Good leaders are not scared to ask for help if needed. Good leaders also are always there for their employees whenever it is necessary.

INSTANT MBA: Leadership Starts With Complaining And Dissatisfaction
John Schawrtz gives good advice on leadership in this article. He says that leadership is taking complaints and doing something about it. It's standing up for what you believe in. He believes that you should be up front with who you are and what you stand for, in the very beginning because it makes it easier in the long run. Standing up for what you believe in, voicing your complaints, is true leadership.

INSTANT MBA: Leadership Starts With Complaining And Dissatisfaction
I think it can be very scary to be in charge when their are critical decisions to be made. But if you have a clear plan to a your goal and create a team of great people to help execute the goal you remove the fair of being in charge. It is also important to be have flexibility in the plan to the goal because bumps in the road are inevitable. Being to rigid in your plan will most likely cause it to fail.

INSTANT MBA: Leadership Starts With Complaining And Dissatisfaction
I see where Mr. Pincus is going with this article, but I don’t know if I agree fully. I don’t think that becoming a leader involves telling the powers that be that the company is going in the wrong direction, all the time. I think that becoming a leader involves taking what the company currently does, and trying to find ways to become more efficient. There are times where leaders step forward to change the direction of the company, but leaders don’t have to have that drastic a change.

INSTANT MBA: Leadership Starts With Complaining And Dissatisfaction
Leadership is noticing there is a problem, and being able to stand up and take responsibility for the problem, and/or find a way to fix it. Getting people to follow you in your quest to solve the problem is what makes anyone a leader. As the title of the article states, dissatisfaction is the first step in taking action and changing the way something is done.

INSTANT MBA: Leadership Starts With Complaining And Dissatisfaction
Having a firm idea about the right direction and what you want to do is important for any leader and entrepreneur. Always know your goals before you start. A leader always encourages others to do their best. You must handle complaints and you will always be a scapegoat.

INSTANT MBA: Leadership Starts With Complaining And Dissatisfaction I agree with being upfront about who you are and what you want. You have to have a goal and in order to achieve that goal you have to lead the people in that direction. And when you see something not going the right way you have to fix the problem. It might sound like a lot of pressure but it is worth it to get the results that you want.

Many people are going to complain. Do not ignore complaining. Complaining can be a big problem when managing a team. It is hard to make everyone happy. Complaining can also make you grow as a company. It can bring ideas and problems that you as a manager did not know existed.
