You have to have a sense of purpose for being in a workplace. If you do not feel that you have a sense of purpose in the company then simply leave. You want to feel wanted and appreciated at work. No amount of money will make your feel this way. Even though making the big bucks is nice but you need to have a job that you love to go to. If you have a job you love to do then you don’t feel like you are at work.

You want to bring out the best in your employees. This includes a comfortable environment that makes them feel important because they are. You want to converse with your employees and listen to their inputs and opinions because it matters. Money isn’t everything. When your employees know their purpose and how important it is, it will inspire them to be even better.

Every job any job such as corporate job anything always has a purpose. Having all the money in the world doesn't mean that business will still be a success! It takes time and great effort to make a great business and you must drive behind the purpose of this job everyday to make sure that all well brings is good.

INSTANT MBA: No Amount Of Money Can Create A Sense Of Purpose
The author is correct in stating that a sense of purpose carries more weight than the money. It doesn't matter how much money you make, if you don't feel a sense of purpose, or like you are important to the company, you're going to eventually be so miserable that the money won't compensate. I'm making more money in my new profession than I did as a manager, but there are days (those bad ones) that I think that I'd rather make less than deal with all the stress of my job now. Thank goodness that those days are getting to be fewer and fewer, though. What does keep me going on days like that is feeling like I have a purpose in each child's life........that I can make a difference.

INSTANT MBA: No Amount Of Money Can Create A Sense Of Purpose
There are many people that want to be apart of something. They dont want to just have a job, but they want to be able to make a difference in their communities. This article emphasizes the importance of having a company's vision to be something that the employees can be proud of. At Apple, Steve Jobs did just that. He wanted his workers to be inspired and motivated about what they were creating. He thought that they were "crazy enough to change the world". This idea is the reason Apple is named one of world's most powerful brands.

Your business could be producing more revenue than you know what to do with, but if you don't feel as though your business does not have a purpose then there will be a void of some sorts. If your business does not provide a purpose for you, then you are at risk of losing your vision and reasons for initially producing the business. It is important to instill this sense of purpose into everyone within the business, and the best way to do so is to start with yourself. If you are practicing what you are preaching then your business has a better chance of creating the purpose that is needed.

Instant MBA: No Amount Of Money Can Create A Sense Of Purpose
It is important to get your employees enthused about new business ventures that you may have come up with. Presenting them to your employees in such a way so that they view it in such a way is up to you. They will not be fully invested into your ideas simply because you are the boss; you have to see what their input is on your ideas. Give them a chance to modify it better or at least give them a chance to voice their opinion. This is a very important thing to do because it will cause your employees to view the project in a brighter light.

In the long run, I do think that you should work for something you are passionate about. At least, that is what I believe for myself. I find it so hard to want to work for a company just because of a good pay. It's better to be fulfilled because of the purpose you are doing it for. Employees should have something to feel passionate about to make them feel as if what they're doing is part of a bigger purpose, not just for a pay check.

INSTANT MBA: No Amount Of Money Can Create A Sense Of Purpose
This article talks about having a sense of purpose and no amount of money will give your company a sense of purpose. You have to have the will, determination and the purpose before you have the money. It is key to your success and will help you and your company. If you think that you're going to make the money and then the purpose will come you are wrong. You have to see the big picture and the vision before anything else.

INSTANT MBA: No Amount Of Money Can Create A Sense Of Purpose
It is far too true that you cannot pay someone to like their job or want to do it. Employees that are only there to collect a check are not going to be vested in the interest of the company and not really care about improving the business. It is vital to any business to find employees that enjoy the work they do and want to do their job. Happy and content employees breeds success.

INSTANT MBA: No Amount Of Money Can Create A Sense Of Purpose
This idea of “money isn’t everything” holds true in every area of life. Money is a great temporary incentive but it is not the ultimate driver of people’s motivations. For example, if you start a new job that pays $100,000 a year but discover your job has no real valuable purpose to the company then chances are you will be very unhappy despite the high pay. Think about all the people who stay in lower paying jobs even though they have an opportunity to move up and make more money. Some love their job and feel fulfilled, whereas some people like the time flexibility of a lower level job in order to spend time with family. Each person has their own purpose and motivations… it is generally not money.

INSTANT MBA: No Amount Of Money Can Create A Sense Of Purpose
I agree with the author that no amount of money can create a purpose. The purpose is something that comes from within. If a person is working at a job just to collect a paycheck then that person will do the bare minimum to make sure they receive their paycheck. But if a person's purpose is to be successful, then that person will work hard to make sure their purpose is fulfilled.

INSTANT MBA: No Amount Of Money Can Create A Sense Of Purpose
Like many other articles and comments before, it is very important to make your employees feel comfortable and that they mean something to the company. When a worker feels connected to a company, they will be more motivated to contribute to your company. If they know the company's vision and goals, they will likely want to help the company achieve those goals. Make your employees feel like they matter.

Money only gets you so far in life. Getting up every morning and going to work should be more about making a difference than just making a dollar. I understand everyone needs some money to survive yet when you work at a company try to make a difference in the world. Making a small difference in someones life can go a long way. Becoming part of something is a big responsibility and let that mold you into a better person or employee.

INSTANT MBA: No Amount Of Money Can Create A Sense Of Purpose
A sense of purpose is what motivates team members. This is how they relate their contributing efforts to the organization and its growth. Money is simply a tool not a driver for employee involvement. If people are passionate about what they do it will be done to the fullest of their ability. The key to productivity is to have everyone on the same page, understanding the goals and visions of the organization.
