INSTANT MBA: Soft Skills Are Needed In Future Executives
I found in this article one of the most important advices I have ever read. As a result of globalization, companies must be prepared to cope with the challenges of this phenomenon, so they need to count on employees that know how to interact with people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. For instance, I have come to the United States to learn a new language and new abilities that would help me succeed in this global world. I completely understand that in general, universities teach a big deal of technical knowledge, and soft skills have to be learned with real work experience. However, communication skills at an international level has become so important that all universities should at least make students aware of the importance of developing soft skills, so they can have a better chance to successfully compete against other professionals around the world.

Instant MBA: Soft Skills Are Needed In Future Executives
This article genuinely caught my attention. I feel like with all the global challenges we face, the importance of soft skills is at an all-time high. As a leader, the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with other cultures is an essential. Universities will help prepare you with the technical skills you need to step out into the business field, but it is up to you to learn how to be innovative, to inherit great interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with others cultures besides your own. Experience is the best teacher, but the demand for individuals already equipped with these essentials is consistently rising. Universities and community colleges alike should create a course designed specifically for this, so when the individuals from this generation branch out into the ‘real-world’, they will be have a better chance at succeeding in the ventures they originally set out to do.

INSTANT MBA: Soft Skills Are Needed In Future Executives
With the introduction and the increasing use of globalization, being able to communicate effectively with others around the globe is very important. With more and more companies working with one another internationally, soft skills have definitely become something all managers should possess. Universities provide students with all the technical skills that they need for the business world, but soft skills should also be something that students are aware about. Because soft skills don't come naturally to everyone, getting the right experiences to gain these skills is very important. Even if this is something that can't be taught, I think students should be provided with the information on how to obtain these skills to help them succeed in the future.

INSTANT MBA: Soft Skills Are Needed In Future Executives
This article made a good point, that soft skills are a hard thing to learn. I feel this is way executives are executives because they probably didn't learn these skills because it came to them naturally and is in their personality. These types of people get along with other and communicate easily making for a less awkward or confusing time when talking to them. If schools mainly focus on technical skill instead of these skills then how are you suppose to learn them? You probably won’t learn them and if you do you more than likely won’t be as good as someone who naturally has these skills.

INSTANT MBA: Soft Skills Are Needed In Future Executives
I believe soft skills are almost more important sometimes than technical skills. Technical skills can be learned by almost anyone. However, having the ability to work and collaborate with other employees with ease can prove to be a much more rare skill for a person to possess. A company whose employees have a high degree of “soft skills” can speed up operations and help to quickly form a positive company culture.

INSTANT MBA: Soft Skills Are Needed In Future Executives
In today's business world, the skill of communication is more important than ever. With technology connecting the world faster and easier everyday, as an executive you must be able to communicate with people from all across the world. At the same time however, technology has also hindered this skill, by taking away the need for face-to-face contact. Anyhow, being able to communicate and collaborate with other people is very important in the business world.

INSTANT MBA: Hire Trustworthy People So You Can Focus On Bigger Things
The best investment an owner can make is to hire great people. It worth every amount paid if they are the best in their field. Surround yourself with qualified people, build trust and watch for the leaders to merge. These will be the ones you turn over the day-to-day operations. The sooner you reconize this employees, build trust and let them take over. This will allow you more free time to focus on the mission of the company.

INSTANT MBA: Soft Skills Are Needed In Future Executives
In business, it is important to know what you are talking regarding the business itself. It is however important that you have people skills especially on the executive level. You need to be able to talk to the person you are wanting to do business with and leave a good impression to establish a relationship.

INSTANT MBA: Soft Skills Are Needed In Future Executives
With the continued globalization of businesses, soft skills are becoming more important all the time. An individual can come with all of the technical skills and understanding, but if you lack soft skills you will struggle to connect with potential customers. It is extremely important to have great communication skills today and have some understanding of different cultures in the world. If we just go into every transaction assuming our interactions will be the same as they are everyday with individuals from our own culture, we will no doubt offend someone eventually and may send a message we wish not to send.

INSTANT MBA: Soft Skills Are Needed In Future Executives
I interpreted soft skills as being able to talk to people and knowing how to communicate under stressful situation. These skills are rather important and while they are not taught, you can easily learn them. People often learn from their mistakes and an easy way to figure out if you are speaking wrong to people could be to set up a recording device. At the end of the day, watch the device and you will actually notice things that you didn't before. Things such as movement, facial expression, and attitude changes. You will see what happens around you and your soft skills will be taught to improve themselves.

INSTANT MBA: Soft Skills Are Needed In Future Executives
Being able to effectively communicate with everyone is something every executive should be able to do. All of the employees should have good communication skills but it's extremely important for an executive to do this. You need to be comfortable with talking in front of a bunch of people and you need to be able to speak clearly so that everyone can understand what you're saying and what you want done.

I really liked the concept of this article. It is very important for people to develop "soft skills" if they plan on or are currently working in the business profession. These skills are important to have when working with other employees as well as with customers. You should be culturally sensitive of others as well. I think that these are skills that should be taught or at least talked about in college. I do also believe that companies should have professional development for their employees on such topics so that they help their employees have the skills needed to work with other people.

INSTANT MBA: Soft Skills Are Needed In Future Executives
The truest statement in that article is that "soft skills" are not taught. It is something you are born with, or something you learn from painstaking experience. As the world gets more global and instant communication becomes more and more widespread, the need for communication on all global fronts is increasing. As the need for this increases however, the teaching of it in schools is not increasing. As time continues to go by, the people who have these skills will become more and more valuable, and the positions they fill will be more and more elite.
