A company will go through many changes. These changes can be good or bad. Let the changes be a learning experiment. You will learn a lot from losing. Let losing be a learning a experience so you know how to better your business.

When you’re selling a product or a service, the actual selling aspect of it doesn’t have to do with the product or service. Selling is a skill. In order to be better at selling, you should work on maintaining a relationship with your fellow coworkers or CEOs. When you establish common ground with them, you can then move on from there together. Both of you will be on the same page so them it will be easier to continue on with selling your product or service.

INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships
When working it is best to always have a great relationship with your coworkers. This article is right because you don't always want to have to be told that you have to start from the bottom. Once you have put in a lot of work, people understand and see how dedicated you are to your job. And that they can be a difference of how people think about you at work.

INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships
I understand the author's point that building relationships with the CEO of a company is a sure way to work your way to the top. However, I don't think this is as easy as he makes it sounds. Most corporations that are a huge success have many channels you have to go through before you can even reach the CEO. It's not like you can simply pick up your phone and call him/her. For example, with hundreds of thousands of employees working for McDonald's Corporation, I certainly wasn't able to pick up the phone and call the CEO. I did meet him, however, on a business trip to Chicago, and I was able to introduce myself and speak to him a bit. However, I doubt that with all of the people he's met, he'd even remember me to this day much less feel like we had a personal relationship. I can, though, agree that it's best to build personal relationships with customers (or in my case now, with parents of my students) to better sell products (or myself as a good teacher.) I can also work on building a personal relationship with my coworkers and principal to have a support system in place for when and if I need it.

I think this article goes with the quote: "it's not what you know, it's who you know." It is very important to get yourself out there and meet people. It can be very helpful with future endeavors. The more you get to know people the better chance you have of advancing in business. If you are well acquainted with "higher ups" they may not even need to see what it is that you are offering. They may very well just go off of what they know about you. If they like you they may already like your product or service.

INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships
To be successful in the competitive environment that today's world brings, you must be able to build a strong relationship with your customers and suppliers. This relationship shows trust and respect for your company. This will make them want to come to you over anyone else. If a company establishes a personal connection with its employees and customers, it will be successful.

I agree with this link because relationships can pave the way for anyone's success. Your relationships must be good in any organization you work with. This can cause you to have friends in high places and can place you at a beneficial place in the business. You should try to make all people you work with friends or at least get to know them because you never know who may get to the top. Many people try to only befriend the person in charge but everyone is important in an organization.

Building a relationship with who you are trying to sell an idea to, builds a stronger foundation of trust. When I go into a store and employees are talking to me to help me find the perfect product, I am more likely to by into what they suggest. It seems that they are more caring on me being satisfied with a product, than just selling it.

INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships
Mr. Paul Spiegelman has it right. Relationships are the backbone of any business. Good relationships build trust. This is an advantage anywhere from the mail room to the boardroom. Consumers what to buy products from businesses they trust, people want to do business with people they trust, and employee want to work with other that they trust. It really does not matter how great your product is, if you or your business does not build trusting relationships with employees, vendors, consumers, etc, your business will fail. Period.

INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships
I agree with this article. I have worked in sales and even from a consumer stand point, I feel that it is important for a salesperson to establish a repertoire with the consumer. I have sold everything from technical support to salads and one thing I always try to do is not be the person that sales the salad but the person that you want to go see when you want a salad, or the person that you want to get your technical support or advice from. It is important for customers to remember the salesperson and want to see them again.

INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships
Building relationships are important in establishing trust and confident in investor and other stakeholders. I agree with Mark Davis when he say that "While it's important to outdo your rivals, the existence or success of competitors is actually probably good for you and your company." Your competitors' success can benefit you in a number of ways, such as proving that a business model works and therefore, making it easier for you to convince your own investors to buy into something similar.

INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships
In business world, it is of utmost importance to build a good relationship with your customers and your bosses. Human beings tend to value relationship above money; well most of us do. It is the reason why we still see people going to small mom and pop stores instead of big retail chains. Likewise relationship with your senior can take you far in a company. We should always try to be in their in group by finding a common ground of interest. If you don't find anything in common, being yourself wont give you best results so 'fake it till you make it'.

I agree with Spiegelman because building trust with your customers and suppliers is important. If you can relate to them, and have something in common, you will be able to talk about things other than just business and trying to sell them something. If they feel like they connect with you on a personal level they will probably feel more comfortable doing business with you.
