INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships
From a consumer perspective, I consider the product or service to be important if it satisfies my needs. From a business viewpoint, the salespeople need to have good deal of knowledge about the product or service, so they can offer the best treat to customers. For a company to have a good sales team, it is essential that employees are engaged with the job, and this is achieved by building relationships within the organization. Employees and managers need to be aligned with the goals and strategy of the company, and sharing knowledge and information will make sure that everyone in the organization is working on the same page.

Instant MBA: To Sell Better Products, First Build Relationships Building relationships, especially in the business aspect, is an essential because you never know who you’re going to need. Business executives and employees alike should take note to this. I expect for my needs as a consumer to satisfied, but how will you know my needs if a relationship isn’t built? Building relationships both internally and externally helps raise sales and earn more revenue. But in order to execute to plan correctly, everyone in the company should be on the same page. They must all be clear of the company’s goal and strategies to accomplish it. This will require them to keep in contact with each other and share the information they are aware of.

INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships
This article makes a very valid point. Yes it is very important to make sure that the product or service you're selling is perfect and that you continue to take it to the next level, but having a relationship with executives at the companies you work with can definitely benefit you and your company. So building relationships are equally important in my opinion. To build this relationship you have to make sure that you know what similar passions you and other CEOs share and how to use those similar passions to your advantage. I definitely agree that sharing knowledge and seeking feedback is a great way to build a relationship. When you have established your relationships you can then use them as a base for selling your products and services.

INSTANT MBA: There's No Greater Sin Than Not Learning From Mistakes
I believe that we all learn something from our mistakes. It how we handle the mistakes that make us great. First, admit your mistakes, everyone has them. Take interest in learning why it didn't work and move on to fixing it. This learning process can bring upon great success. Also, be smart and know when it's time to trash the project and go another avenue. This to me would be the greatest sin, by not admitting failure and digging deep into the hole. It's fine to be wrong, just take what you learned and move ahead.

INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships I think this skill should be required by business before hiring employees if they want to have the best chance of selling their products. If an employee can build a relationship with the customers or the company’s supplier then they will easily get great deals from it. Building a relationship between customers, sort of like a friendship, make the customer feel as if he can trust you and would be willing to purchase things or even go out and find someone who may be interested in your product or service.

INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships
I am a strong believer in creating a relationship between you and the consumer of your product. If I were in the market for a high retail product, I would prefer to have someone show me exactly what I should purchase that would best suite my needs. For a consumer like me, building a relationship is the first step in ensuring my business with a certain company. If a sales rep seems unknowledgeable or it appears hard to establish this relationship, there is a good chance I will not purchase their product.

INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships
This article is important on building customer relationships. I believe it is important to get on a personal level with a customer, because the product they are buying from you is personal to them. I do that a lot with customers at where I work. When the customer likes to come back when you are working, they are more likely to buy product and will take suggestions that you give to the customer.

INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships
Of course it is important to have a good product or service, but if you can't sell that product or service, then you won't get very far. When people buy things, they tend to go with what they trust or what they've heard to be good through other people. You must earn that trust by knowing your product and be willing to take negative feedback and actually doing something about it. Customers will by your product if they can trust you, it's up to you to earn it.

INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships
Building relationships is the best way to sell products. Once employers figure out this method, products at start rolling off the shelves. Customers want quality and they want to know that you will be there if a problem ever occurs. Selling products is only half of the work. Actually building a relationship requires trust, commitment, and knowledge. For example, at work, we don't want to discourage the customers by telling them we are not sure how valuable a product is. Instead, we tell them what they want to hear. We tell them that the product is useful and it sells more than most of the other items alike it. Believe it or not, the customer believes us and it affects us just the same

INSTANT MBA: To Better Sell Products, First Build Relationships
Customers are the most important part of any business, besides the employees of course. As such, relationships with customers must be of the utmost importance. As the article says, the basis of any relationship is trust. To get to know, and to gain the trust of, an upper level manager in the companies you deal with is the easiest in to a partnership. If you can get to know someone important in a partner company, then you now know that company, and are able to trade with it and do business. Then, once you have established this, selling your product or service should be easy.
