INSTANT MBA: Use Elegance To Achieve Maximum Impact With Minimum Means
A successful company has to remain focus on its goals and strategy to survive in the long run. I believe that in most cases, making a business simplier translates into a more efficient operation. When employees and customers understand what the company is all about clearly, it is more likely that employees are aligned with the goals of the organization and customers are willing to do business with the firm. In general, when all stakeholders perceive the organization to be well structured, their relationship with the company will be smoother.

Instant MBA: Use Elegance to Achieve Maximum Impacts with Minimum Means This article made some valid unspoken points. We all know that in order for a business to become successful, the people have to remain focus an on the same page at all time. Generally speaking, the smaller the business is the more efficient it is, but that all depends on how simple it is. I think that the most important aspect is the communication level. Once everyone, customers and employees alike, have an understanding of what needs to be done (goals) then everything will fall into place.

INSTANT MBA: Use Elegance To Achieve Maximum Impact With Minimum Means
I believe too much structure can sometimes be a bad thing. Having a simple organization where everyone has a clear focus and are on the same page, is a much more effective organization then one that is overly structured and complicated. I definitely agree that elegance is the ability to achieve the maximum effect or impact through the minimum means, as stated in the article. There no need to have an organization that is so complex that it takes away the focus of the organization and slows down the productivity of employees. Being simple and resourceful with a clear focus will definitely help an organization achieve the maximum effect or impact through the minimum means.

INSTANT MBA: Use Elegance To Achieve Maximum Impact With Minimum Means
Some businesses have trouble because they try doing too much and once. They try to build and expand as fast as possible when it only slows them down in the end. Sometimes the simple answer is the best answer. You don't have to go 100 mph to get somewhere fast, if you take the right route it will get you there fast enough. Simplicity can be your best friend as a business owner. It makes your employees happy and will drive your competitors crazy.

INSTANT MBA: Use Elegance To Achieve Maximum Impact With Minimum Means
I love the part of this article in which a manager uses two questions to gauge his own work processes. “What would my employees like me to stop doing and what would my competitors hate for me to stop doing?” Your employees will tell you how to cut back and not spend so much of your efforts on one aspect as compared to another inside the company. Your competitors will tell you what you are doing right and show you places in which you can improve.

I agree with the article completely. It is good to focus on what you are doing right and wrong with your employees and your customers. You want feedback and that's exactly what you will want to get to help, such as customer service surveys and employee surveys. We did the surveys at our job and immediately there was new management brought in.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Focus Everything On Aggression And Competition
I believe some people lose focus on the creativity side or what actual got them started, and go and stay on the aggression and competition side of the business. This will hurt businesses in the long run. If you are so focused on the agression and competiton, you may just see they pass your up. Keep what makes your business unique and stay true to that. Competiton is good when you balance it with the creativity side of business.

INSTANT MBA: Use Elegance To Achieve Maximum Impact With Minimum Means
Elegance in the workplace allows for a beautiful place to work. Giving responsibility across the board and allowing everyone to do what they have been trained to think is right is the best way to run a workplace. Giving one or two people authority calls for a lot of miscommunication and a lot of trash talking. Instead, keep the playing field level. Change the way you run things, but most of all, keep everyone involved in the decision making.

INSTANT MBA: Use Elegance To Achieve Maximum Impact With Minimum Means
I've never heard of elegance being used as a tool to grow your business but I like what the article is saying. Finding out what you can be doing better for your employees and what you can be doing to make your competition hate you even more are very important in today's competitive marketplace. Using the least amount of tools or work to achieve a greater amount of success will give you a competitive advantage that you don't want to lose.

INSTANT MBA: Use Elegance To Achieve Maximum Impact With Minimum Means
I like this article because sometimes less is better. A company could be running well and since its doing good the owner wants to implement new things hoping to make it better, but it ends up hurting the company. I feel that if you can profit, doing something in an easy simply way, then you should stick to that instead of trying complicate things.

Growth is something that most companies strive to achieve. But if this is done to rapidly it can have a negative effect on your company. It is important for a leader to remember what the companies mission and vision are. They also need to do what is best for the company. One thing that helps a company run effectively is structure. This article talks about how important it is for structure to be in place. This helps employees know what to expect and help your company run smoothly.

INSTANT MBA: Use Elegance To Achieve Maximum Impact With Minimum Means
I think this article is absolutely genius. The google home page is a very good example of elegance and simplicity. They don't need a whole lot of ads or designs or quirks or anything like that. They have a bar, which is functional, and that is it. Leaders could definitely take a page from that book. Also, the two questions comment is a good idea as well. There is always something that employees want there managers to stop doing, and there are always things you wish your competition would stop doing. Use those questions, use those thoughts to better yourself and be a good, simple, eloquent leader.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Focus Everything On Aggression And Competition
It doesnt matter how aggressive or competitive you are, if you dont have a good idea to sell, youve got nothing. Creativity isnt something that can be taught. To have a team in place that can keep fresh ideas on the table is the most important element in any kind of startup. You have to have the ideas in place before the wheels of action can start moving.

INSTANT MBA: Use Elegance To Achieve Maximum Impact With Minimum Means
Achieving maximum impact with minimum means is a very effective and efficient way of operating an organization. When you add too many layers and too much excess to an organization, it will become difficult to move ideas forward. This will also add steps and layers to the process that do not add value. It is always very important to evaluate your organization against customer and stakeholder needs. If you have steps in the process that are not of value to customers or stakeholders, you may want to see if these steps can be removed.
