As a manager when things are becoming overwhelming, you should stop and think about what needs to be done and how and when it should be done. This is also a great opportunity to get some ideas and feedback from your team of employees. I definitely agree that it is crucial to listen to the ideas of your employees. When you and your employees get together as a team to come up with ways to improve a certain situation I believe there will be less time spent worrying and more time spent being productive. As a leader there can be a lot of stress with the job of running a business. It is important for leaders to communicate with their employees and takes ideas from them. Together everyone can collaborate and come up with ideas that can help solve a solution to the problem and help the company run more smoothly. It is also important for a leader to remember the mission and vision of the company.

INSTANT MBA: There's No Need To Worry Too Much
This article is correct about worrying. Worrying has never solved problems, nor has it shed any light on the direction a company needs to go. Put the worrying aside and use your thought processes instead to come up with something new that will work. You can't change what is already done, but you can change what will come to be.

Sure in a perfect world you will never have to worry. But at times things can get so hectic that you cannot see the forest for the trees. It is wise to take a step back and feel the situation out piece by piece and solve problems one at a time. Especially in a hospital, I can imagine things get hectic and this method will need to be applied quickly and often.

Alt link 79: INSTANT MBA: You Should Never Accept A Job You're Not Excited About
Doing something you can not tell others about is a clear sign you should not be doing it. If you can not bring yourself to admit to working for a particular company then you are most likely at the worng job. I'm glad I am a finace major, because I can not wait to tell people what i am in school for or what I am going to do once i graduate.

INSTANT MBA: There's No Need To Worry Too Much
The article suggests if you are stressed out or overwhelmed at work that is the perfect time to take step plan, think outside of the box, and create a plan. I think this is great advice especially for a business leader. If you don't take a step back to re-evaluate and re-organized the stress and chaotic levels will rise at work, which will create unhappy employees. Unhappy employees have lower productivity and we all know lower productivity means decreased profits.

INSTANT MBA: There's No Need To Worry Too Much
Becoming stressed out over a situation does not do anything but age you. Rather than worrying, you should take a step back and see what you can do to better the situation. Whenever one of my shifts is running poorly, I do not retreat to the office to wallow in self-pity, but instead I take a step back to find the bottle-kneck of the situation. As soon as I recognize it, I immediately throw myself back into the situation, correct the problem, and get the shift rolling back on track.

INSTANT MBA: There's No Need To Worry Too Much
When a business goes through a lot of changes at one time it is a good idea to decide what to do next to keep the company going. When we feel like we have so many things to do and not enough time that is when we need to plan what to do next. Taking the time to plan with employees will help the business run a lot smoother. Also, if you get the employees to help with the planning then they can see where the business is going.

INSTANT MBA: There's No Need To Worry Too Much
Great article. I think, as a manager or project leader, you should always be transparent. By being immediately open about your concerns, you allow employees to quickly resolve or discuss ways to improve upon the problems. As long as you don’t let potential problems get out of hand, you’ll eventually achieve your goal. Also, by taking on each problem one at a time, you never have to worry about being too overwhelmed.

INSTANT MBA: There's No Need To Worry Too Much
This article is very true, and should be read by all managers no matter what line of business they are in. Working in a retail environment it can be very stressful, trying to make least years numbers as well as plan and what they expect us to do, all while creating visuals, floorsets, markdowns etc. One thing I have learned is exactly what this atrticle is talking about. There is no use in stressing about things that are beyond your control. If people are not in the store to sell to or shop, make good use of that time and work on other aspects of the business that can help you to improve your business. Taking a step back and regrouping can make for a much easier and less stressful environment.

INSTANT MBA: There's No Need To Worry Too Much
Diana Handel gives good advice on worrying and how to handle it. She says that she accepts that running a business is full of problems and she has accepted those problems as challenges. She says that when the problem becomes so big that she begins to worry she meets with her team and refocuses her energy on solving the problem, reminds her team of their mission and what they stand for. She says that this is a good way of handling the problem and keeping the worrying in check.

INSTANT MBA: There's No Need To Worry Too Much
As mentioned in the previous article, tough situations and big decisions can bring out the best in a good leader. This article mentions that Hendel is no stranger to encountering obstacles, but these hard times for her company always help her to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Whenever this happens, she takes time out to talk with her employees and get their input and ideas, which not only makes them feel important, but it opens the door to everyone pitching in and helping out, and solving the problems a lot smoother than on her own with chaos and confusion.

INSTANT MBA: There’s No Need To Worry Too Much
I often see lists my wife has written around the house—on the desk, posted on the refrigerator, and in her planner. However, I seldom see her check something off the list. When I once asked her about this, she explained that writing the list alone helps to calm the feelings of anxiety when she is overwhelmed. I tend to worry way to much about things I cannot control, especially at work. The list helps me, as well as talking to an accountability partner in the office. When I speak to him, very anxious, he tells me to take a deep breath, look at the list I have to take care of, and do one at a time, and they will all get done.

Instant MBA: There’s No Need to Worry Too Much
There is a great quote that sums up my attitude about this article. “At the times when you think you’re most overwhelmed or don’t have the time to plan, that is the signal to stop and plan with your team. Taking the time to be very clear about what the business is, what the business needs to be and coming back to that mission piece.” We need problem solve and not let the fear paralyze is what this article means to me.

INSTANT MBA: There's No Need To Worry Too Much No matter how tough a job or anything maybe never let worry set in. Worrying will not get the job done. The only way you can fix a problem is if you have a plan and follow through with it. If it does not work it might be best to move on to something different or hand it over to someone else that can fix it.

Business can get messy. Embrace it and show it who is boss. Bob Sutton made a valid point, “Reducing complexities and introducing predicable measures into the workplace can increase employee productivity and eventually save money, especially during challenging times.” Let your problems and difficulties as a business owner be a time for learning and experimenting for the company. It is your time to figure out what will work and what is not going to work. A successful company does not just happen overnight. It takes time and patience.
