INSTANT MBA: Your Customers Are The Ones Doing 'The Selling For The Company
I agree with this article; customers do the selling for the company through referrals and praise of the company. But I don't think that that is all you should rely on. A good company gets a lot of referrals from its customers, but they also have good advertising to attract new customers. You should never put all of you eggs in one basket (i.e. relying on one form of advertising to get your company's name out there). Although word of mouth does work for some companies (i.e. Carmex), it doesn't guarantee that it will work for everyone.

INSTANT MBA: Your Customers Are The Ones Doing 'The Selling For The Company'
The term customers are always right is very true. Every business should treat customers as friendly as possible. Believe it or not they are the ones that do the most marketing for your business through word of mouth. If the customer leaves with a negative attitude they will pass that on and eventually news will travel and it will effect your business.

Treat your customers with honesty and respect. This is important because it makes customers want to come back. Also it makes customers tell their friends that your business has integrity. When customers trust you they will go out of their way and sometimes even pay extra to go to you.

The whole reason businesses are in the market is to appeal to customers. Having a heavily customer focused strategy allows the company to appeal to a customer base, get those customers talking about the product and carry it on from there, advertising for the company by word of mouth and being a repeat customer. This customer base allows companies to utilize these customers, developing new strategies on what they want and need and being able to adapt to make a better product for the customer...a product that the company knows they want to buy.

INSTANT MBA: Your Customers Are The Ones Doing 'The Selling For The Company' I believe that customers play a pivotal role in selling for a company. They are perfect for advertising. A good way customers can help to increase sales is by word-of-mouth.

Although I think the author's point about knowing your customers and giving them what they want is a good idea, I don't believe it would work for all companies. In her company, that is rather small, she can focus on providing what the small amount of customers want. This will definitely help a small company because those few customers can help promote the business. However, a large company like Wal-mart or Microsoft can't possibly listen to every customer's wants and provide that to them. So, I would say Tifft's point is valid only to a certain extent.

"Your customers are the ones doing 'the selling for the company'"
With social media, a company really doesn't need to spend a lot of money on advertising. Create a Facebook or LinkedIn page and you're pretty much set. Staying focused on customers and keeping them happy will spread the word of your company through referrals and repeated business, and having customers "like" your page or write reviews on your page will also help spread your company through the social medias. I find the best way to keep a customer's experience unique is to learn a little bit about them such as: hobbies, family, dislikes, and most importantly their name. Being able to call a customer by their name and having a casual conversation before getting down to business will keep them coming back.

I agree customers are selling your product or service. If the customers don't like your product or service, it wil not sell. What you create has to be a want of customers. You will survive longer if your product or service is a demand of the customers. If they like it they will tell other people to try it. If they don't like it they will tell people "it's bad and don't waste your time." you do not want that.

I completely agree with this article. Customers are the driving force of many companies. If consumers approve of the product or service that your business supplies then they will tell other consumers about your product or service, which will bring more business and profit for you business. This will allow your business to grow and expand in size and customer diversity, which will allow you the opportunity to diversify your product or service if that is a goal.

Most business is driven by referral just as many jobs are obtained from referrals. It is a human way of doing things. Tifft realized this early on in her company's life and that is why ClinicalRM is a success story. People like to feel like they are important and feel individualized when they are just another customer. But "just" another customer with a bad experience can likely spread allot of bad publicity in the streets deferring business. So this is why customers matter so much. Employees should definitely have the right mindset when dealing with customers and clients.

Doing whats right for your customer will lead to good business. Tifft's business has always focused on getting to know it's customers so that they can better guess what the customers might want or need. By getting close to the customers, they also insure good marketing and word of mouth referral from sources other than the company itself. Even when the decisions are tough, a company should make the right decision for their customers because that is the decision that will allow both parties to benefit.

This article infers that it is the customer who sells the product. Although, business owners must market their own products and brands, it's ultimately up to the customer whether your business will prosper on the basis of whether the customer likes what you are selling. You are pitching a product to the customer and in return they advertise your business for you. When customers receive great services and products then, they're more likely to tell someone else about their experience which influence the next individual. I tell people all the time about my job and how we'll my employers attempt to accommodate the needs of every employee. I'm selling a service so, they'll check it out or want to work for the same company. In the near future, I hope to offer a variety of products and services that people love and enjoy so, I could become a household name and the customers could refer my company or brand to someone else they know.

INSTANT MBA: Your Customers Are The Ones Doing 'The Selling For The Company'
I agree with this article. Customers have the ability to influence their friend's and family's buying decisions and also get much more attention than a commercial. It is important to treat your customers well and go above and beyond to wow them because they are more likely to spread the word. It is also important to remember that it is a double edge sword and that customers are more likely to share a negative experience which makes it more important to always give great service.

INSTANT MBA: Your Customers Are The Ones Doing The Selling For The Company
I am a firm believer of this. I believe if you satisfy your customers, this is the best kind of marketing you can have. This is almost like free advertisement because whenever a customer is sincerely satisfied they then go and tell their friends who tell theirs and it's almost like a chain effect. The best part of this is it's for free. Some companies spend thousands of dollars on marketing and advertising and doing things to promote their product which is necessary, but just by adding a little more to the customer service part of your company is a much cheaper form and the best kind. Most customers can see your advertisement and not really think anything about it because you could easily say anything on an advertisement, but to get first-hand sight of this measure could mean a lot more to your customer database.

INSTANT MBA: Your Customers Are The Ones Doing 'The Selling For The Company'
Keeping customers happy is what keeps the business going. McDonalds did not open its doors to sell burgers thinking that each customer would only come in once, they hope to hook customers into coming back many more times. Your job as a businessman is to make customers so happy that not only they return, but they tell their friends about it as well.
