Managers and owners are not always the best salespeople out there for your company. Your customers are. They are the ones actually using the products and talk with many different people. A lot of your repeated business is by referrals and customers coming back. Be good to your customers because they are the ones selling your business for you.

Customers help all businesses grow and that is why it is so important to treat customers with the up-most respect and cater to their needs. When you start your own business, word of mouth will be the most frequent use of publicity for your business. So it all comes down to how treat your customers, because news that is spread organically is the most effective.

Instant MBA: Your Customers Are the Ones Doing ‘The Selling For the Company’
I believe the title of this article speaks for itself. Word-of-mouth is the greatest promotion that your company will ever get. If a customer has a great experience then they'll tell their friends and their friends will come and do business with you. If the customer has a bad experience the bad mouth to the entire world, posting things on social media and writing negative reviews. It is always important to have your employees on their a game when dealing with customers because they are a huge reflection your company and can cost you a lot of business!

INSTANT MBA: Your Customers Are The Ones Doing 'The Selling For The Company'
Tift's philosophy is one that the founder of McDonald's followed years ago when he started his business and one that many of the corporate owner's follow to this day. It's exactly what helps keep McD's at its number one status. When I was in management there, I learned quickly that the customer is always right. That's an old fashioned philosophy that's not followed by many businesses in today's world, and it's quite difficult to follow at times. However, it works! Many times, I had to give the customer free food===even though, in my mind, I knew he/she was being deceitful about his/her messed up order. However, by keeping these customers happy, I guaranteed repeat business and further profit. Was it worth arguing over two orders of fries when, if I simply gave them away every now and then, I guaranteed repeat orders totalling in the hundreds from that same family over a period of two months? Absolutely not! I followed Tift's philosophy and let the customers do the selling for me.

Customers are definitly a huge factor in most businesses. In the case of this article Tifft's company uses peronalization and customization to keep their customers coming back. By offering this personal service they see repeat customers and also gain referals from the customers as well. It is definitly a great strategy in today's business society to let your consumers do some of the marketing for you. By offering personalized services people are willing to put their word out there for your business. This is more than beneficial for businesses today.

If you make sure the customers are being taken care of, will ensure your job security. Word of mouth is the best source of advertisement. If your customer had a great experience, they will likely come back and tell their friends. The article by Victoria Tifft, CEO of ClinicalRM, "a lot of our business is by referral or repeat business". She emphasizes the need to put the customer first and to treat each one with individuality. By tailoring to the needs of the consumer, this will make them feel special. Ever one wants to think that people are going out of their way for them. At Sonic, if we see a regular approaching, we try to start it. That way by the time they park, get situated, and order, their food is ready to go. This impresses the customer that you know who they are and the service was extraordinarily fast and accurate.

There have been businesses that I have been in before, where the employees are so nice and helpful, that I will go to them again. This also helps create good word of mouth. I believe there is no better spokesperson than a customer. This makes having great customer service so important for a company. Providing for your current customers can bring in even more customers.

This article discusses how the company treats their customers and makes their experience unique. I agree with this company and agree with their approach on treating your customers like gold. Your customers are your business and making them happy makes your business profits increase in turn makes you happy. Happy customers can spread good news and good gossip of your company which can bring in new customers. On the other hand unhappy customers can spread bad reviews of your company. Just remember to treat others like you want to be treated.

If you provide a great product or great service and make them see the value and want to pass the word on it is going to sell itself. Essentially your customers are selling your product or service for you.

Word of mouth is probably the cheapest way of marketing. If customers really like your product, they will do you marketing for you so it is really important to know what customers really think. Lot of managers in the office, fail to listen to their customer because they hesitate to get out of office and interact with them. Managers should listen to all the employee's at the retail end since they are the one who interact directly with the customers. World has changed a lot since Henry Ford said, "Give them any color, as long as it is black". Right now it is a demand pull market, where you have to sell what customers want and without listening to them, you cant make what they want.

INSTANT MBA: Your Customers Are The Ones Doing 'The Selling For The Company'
A company's most important asset is its customers. The customers should be the first thing that a company focuses on because they are what keeps the business afloat and/or successful. Also, one of the biggest sellers a company has is its current customers. The current customers are the ones that tell others about how good (or bad) your products are and those are the reviews that other people trust and count on. Therefore, you should make sure that your customers are happy so that they will help do some advertising by praising your products and/or services to their friends and family.

Taking care of customers should be one of the top priorities for every company out there. Those within the company will obviously support their company's products and services, but the one who can really help drive them is the customers who buy and use them everyday. Word of mouth is a very useful tool for free advertising. The users will spread the word around to others which will then help your business spread out even more.

INSTANT MBA: Your Customers Are The Ones Doing 'The Selling For The Company'
The article points to a timeless principle, great service equals great business. Consumers want customer service along with a good product. I believe a company who produces a mediocre product can be hugely successful if they provide great service. It is interesting though, by providing great service, they product will slowly improve to become a great product as well. Word of mouth will make or break a company. Make it right for the customer or your business will suffer suffer suffer!
