INSTANT MBA: Just Be Quiet And Listen To What Your Employees Have To Say
Communication is essential in the workplace. I have said before that employees represent the most important asset of every company, and managers have the responsibility to keep them working motivated at their full potential. Letting employees share their ideas and opinions is key to maintain good levels of motivation, so managers do need to be willing to listen. Managers and employees need to work together and build a close professional relationship, so they can interact smoothly and operate the company more efficient, which will result in a high performance organization where everyone will want to work.

INSTANT MBA: Just Be Quiet And Listen To What Your Employees Have To Say
I believe that managers can learn so much from their employees if they are willing listen. In any relationship communication is the key and in order to have effective communication skills you have to also be willing to listen. Managers should definitely encourage employees to communicate with them. Taking the opinions and feedback of employees and analyzing this information can benefit managers tremendously. Managers can resolve many issues within their organization just by simply communicating with their employees. It is very important for managers to have a strong professional relationship with their employees, and being able to communicate effectively with one another is definitely the key.

Instant MBA: Just Be Quiet And Listen To What Your Employees Have to Say
I agree 100% with this article. Sometimes festering problems at any organization can be solved if the superiors just take the time out to listen to what their employees have to say. Although it may be hard because you are in charge and you feel like you have everything under control, listening just because may help burnt out some ignited flames that you never knew existed. In most organizations, lack of communication is always the issue at hand; it just isn’t understood to be so yet. This is because no one takes the time out to listen to one another, manager or not. Also, employees feel invested when managers listen to them. This makes them say ‘I love my job,’ and the performance level is at an all-time high because of the excellent communication skills. With all this being aside, managers can actually learn a lot from listening instead of always being the one to initiate and control the conversation.

INSTANT MBA: Just Be Quiet And Listen To What Your Employees Have To Say
I completely agree with the article. A lot of the managers and leaders need to listen to what the employees have to say. It does not take much to calm down and hear what someone else's opinion is. I know plenty of managers that have this "holier than thou" sense and don't need any input from lower employees.

INSTANT MBA: Do Not Hesitate In Times Of Transformation
Everyone is afraid of change. We need to accept change and move with it. Do not hesitate with transformation, the longer you sit the harder it will be to get through the process. Once the decision is made, go with it. Change is what makes the word move and we must move with it. Don't live in fear of change, embrace the opportunity.

INSTANT MBA: Just Be Quiet And Listen To What Your Employees Have To Say
This article has a similar message as other ones have had. I think it's important for managers to give their employees a chance to voice their opinions and for managers to actually listen to what their saying. The more activities you have like this the more involved employees will get into their job and it will make them feel better about what they're doing. Give everyone a chance to give their ideas on how the company should be doing certain things.

Alt link 74: INSTANT MBA: Do Not Hesitate In Times Of Transformation
People in general fear change, however, often times change is necessary if you want your company to grow and stay on top. A good way to bring about changes in the work place is to spread the word change will take place, then allow time for people to transition, then make the change official and by that time that all has happened, thanks to the gradual change, the transition will have gone over smoothly.

INSTANT MBA: Just Be Quiet And Listen To What Your Employees Have To Say
Giving employees a chance to voice their opinions and ideas will make them feel like they matter in the business. But letting them say what they think and actually listening to what they have to say is two different things. You have to be able to be quiet and consider what they are saying as possible ideas or solutions. By doing this you will open yourself up to all kinds of new and creative ways that you might not have thought about before. It will also get you better production out of your employees.

INSTANT MBA: Just Be Quiet And Listen To What Your Employees Have To Say
Just as I stated in a previous post, I think that opening up business decisions to the employees of the company is certainly a way to promote employee empowerment. Listening to your employees can give you great insight to the overall atmosphere and feel of your company, and could help you understand what and how your employees feel about you as a manager/owner. Also, by constantly saying “no” to employee suggestions can potentially bring down the mood of the whole company

INSTANT MBA: Just Be Quiet And Listen To What Your Employees Have To Say
Being quiet and listening to what your employees have to say goes with the last topic. Allowing people to do what they are good at. People will tell you what you want to hear if you never actually listen to them. If you truly listen though, they will actually tell you the truth and why they feel that way. But when employees do so, do not throw them down and make them feel bad because they have a different view. I like to be in control. My boss thought he was doing me a favor by giving me a Saturday night crew by myself, but in reality it was too much to handle. When I finally got the courage to approach him, he turned me down and wouldn't listen to what I was saying. I explained how many customer complaints I was receiving, but it didn't matter. I switched shift with another team leader and allowed them to work the shift. The following Monday, we both approached my boss and he finally listened, but I yelled at him because I was so beyond frustrated. You should always listen to your employees. They can tell you when enough is enough.

INSTANT MBA: Just Be Quiet And Listen To What Your Employees Have To Say Listening to what your employees have to say can go a long way besides simply looking for ideas from them. Listening could grow your relationship between each individual because they feel respected enough at their work placed to even be asked about their own thought. It could also create a better work culture, giving employees the confidence to be able to speak to you about concerns and tell the truth. It may sound easy, but listening is one of the hardest things for an individual to do, especially when they have strong feelings for his or her own thoughts.

Listening and creating an open work environment is important for businesses to do. This creates a work place where open communication is valued and used among employees and leaders. Employees feel that their opinions and feelings about work related topics are valued by their leader and they feel that they can talk to them about their issues and concerns. When this type of workplace is created, your employees will perform better and be more loyal.

INSTANT MBA: Just Be Quiet And Listen To What Your Employees Have To Say
This is certainly a good skill for any manager to have. I feel like a lot of managers have the attitude that their way is law, or that they get to make every decision. This leads to a real bottleneck of ideas. There may be a hundred people with a hundred great ideas, but they all just pile up at the managers door because he is too busy being in charge to listen to any of them. If a manager could learn to just stop and take a breath and listen, maybe something will come about that will be business altering, in a good way. All because the man in charge took some time off his high horse to listen to the pawns underneath him.

INSTANT MBA: Do Not Hesitate In Times Of Transformation
If things are moving quickly, you definitely dont want to miss the bus. Hesitation can result in getting left behind, and in the world we live in youve got to be willing to roll with the punches. If the risk is minimal, jump in. Change will never get easier or less scary, and its usually those willing to go for it that benefit the most.
