I really dislike sales. It is a position I am just not suited to enjoy. However, a big part of running a business is sales. Both with customers and with prospective partners/investors. You simply cannot get around the fact that you must be an exceptional salesperson in order to run a business well. I am always selling something in my business, whether it is to customers or to partners, there isn't a single day at work I haven't tried to sell something to someone.

INSTANT MBA: An Entrepreneur Is Also A Winning Salesperson
That article is basically common sense. How can you be an entrepreneur if you cannot sell? You have to know how to present your idea to people in a way that they will recieve it. Basically you have to sell that business to the people in order to be successful because you cannot have a business without any customers.

INSTANT MBA: An Entrepreneur Is Also A Winning Salesperson
This article brings into light an aspect of being an entrepreneur that I had never considered before. I find it very interesting and accurate that many CEO's consider being a salesperson in all respects is one of the most valuable attributes that you need when running a business. I really liked the basic logic behind the idea of selling as explaining the benefits behind a decision. It makes you realize how often you need to be a good salesman in many parts of life.

I agree with Jeff Haden’s article. An entrepreneur can also be a winning sales person. He simply sums it up by saying, “being an entrepreneur is like being a full-time salesperson. But instead of simply selling a product or idea you are selling a business as a whole.” An owner of a business always wants its business to succeed, so they tell people about his business wherever he or she goes. They are basically selling the business all the time.

Having good sales skills is practically crucial if you want or if you are an entrepreneur. Working in selling would help you be an entrepreneur because as an entrepreneur you’re selling so much more than just products and services. You are an owner of a business and in order to succeed, you need to be almost an expert at selling.

INSTANT MBA: An Entrepreneur Is Also A Winning Salesperson
Being an entrepreneur has its up and it's downs. Out of all sales about half of them or done by having great communication skills and knowing how to be a leader. A Entrepreneur must know how to sell things with great commercial out for into it so people may like your product or service.

INSTANT MBA: An Entrepreneur Is Also A Winning Salesperson
I agree with this author that sales skills are beneficial in every aspect of life. I learned from my time in management that the customer is always right. I've taken the skills I learned in the fast food industry and utilized them in the field of education. I've used my sales skills to convince my students that it's in their best interest to pay attention and study. I've used my persuasive ways in dealing with irate parents, and I've used them in faculty meetings to present my thoughts and ideas on a particular subject. So, it's true. Sales skills are beneficial to those in any and every aspect of life.

I think the skill to effectively sell is a very important one. As a business owner, entrepreneur, or manager it is important to be able to sell not only your products or services, but ideas as well. The more able you are to sell the better you will do in the future. As a business owner or entrepreneur it is important to have sales skills in oreder to get your product out there and also to find investors. As a manager it is important to have sales skills in order to sell ideas to your employees. It is all together an important skill to have.

Instant MBA: A Entrepreneur Is a Winning Salesperson
I agree with this link because there are similarities between an entrepreneur and a salesperson. The key similarity is that they are both about selling ideas. When creating an idea you have to be innovative. This requires imagination, which being a sales person has. Also being a sales person you get accustomed to change and failure, this can help build the confidence in your technique. Having a salespersons mindset will help you as an entrepreneur.

Being a successful entrepreneur can require different skills. Sales should be one of those skills in which you need to be successful. You sell yourself everyday in many ways. Selling is making people believe in your business, making people believe in your product, making employees believe in your business plan and making employees work toward goals. Selling is all around us in every business throughout the world. Having confidence in yourself helps when you are trying to sell your business plan and motivate employees.

A key component in the business world is sales experience and I can personally vouch for that. The ability to be able to convince others into buying things or seeing potential differences in items are invaluable. In order to get any job, when you are initially interviewed you have to sell yourself so everyone is a salesperson. I strongly recommend retail and sales jobs to give you that foundation for sales experience.

INSTANT MBA: An Entrepreneur Is Also A Winning Salesperson
This was a very interesting article. I never thought of entrepreneurship or selling in this way before. However, I think Haden made some great points. I think in business it is crucial to be able to explain the benefits a decision can bring to a company. No matter if you are an owner, manager, or worker; you need to be able to explain and show how implementing a decision would be beneficial to the company. If you think of that as "selling" then I think everyone should benefit from working in sales to gain some experience.

INSTANT MBA: An Entrepreneur Is Also A Winning Salesperson
An entrepreneur needs to present themselves in a way that makes people interested in what they are doing. Whether they are opening an business for the first time, trying to obtain a clientele or they are an established brand trying to gain new investors, entrepreneurs need to be marketable and sell their business to whoever they are trying to reach. The article states that entrepreneurs need to be able "to convice others an idea makes sense, to show bosses or investors how a project or business will generate a return, to help employees understand the benefits of a new process".

Instant MBA: An Entrepreneur Is Also A Winning Salesperson
I agree with this article completely. An entrepreneur has to be able to not only sell a product but an entire business to customers. Entrepreneurs also have to have the ability to sell different types of businesses and products if they decide to take on multiple types of ideas. An entrepreneur has to first learn about whatever it is they are looking to sell and then being able to pitch that product or idea to other companies that would be interested in buying, which can be very difficult today due to the amount of products that are already on the market coming up with a new idea is difficult.

INSTANT MBA: An Entrepreneur Is Also A Winning Salesperson
Sales skills are absolutely one of the most important skills you should, with out a doubt, have. Sales skills are useful for every aspect of life: business, school, and everyday life. You have to be a good sales person to be able to get a job, get a raise, make friends, and many other things. Someone once told me that the only reason you are where you are is because someone sold something. It could have been an idea, a person, a project, or a product. Sales are very important in life and should be something that you invest in to become better at it.
