I think that being able to see the big picture can be hard sometimes. People get so involved in their daily tasks that they can sometimes forget what they are even doing these tasks for, and I think that it is important for people to remember that there is a meaning behind every action that they do. Having drive for a big picture can ultimately make everything else fall into place.

INSTANT MBA: 'By Focusing Too Narrowly On Daily Targets, We Miss Opportunities Ahead'
This was a good article and had some valid points. For exapmle, When your doing a job, don't just focus on that task at hand. Always look for ways that you can make it better or more innovative. If everybody just did their job the exact way that it was done before them, then we would't be where we were today. Always think of creative ways to make a product or service better or more interesting.

INSTANT MBA: 'By Focusing Too Narrowly On Daily Targets, We Miss Opportunities Ahead
I think that perfectionists often do this; they try to get the little things perfect thinking that in doing so it will make the overall objective perfect. But this is not the case sometimes. You have to be able to look at the big picture in order to get a feel of what is going on. If you are always looking at the little things then often times you will miss the big picture entirely. As a business owner sometimes you have to come up with the big ideas and leave some of the details to your subordinates.

This article doesn't only comply to the professional world but, daily living as well. I think in this day and age we tend to focus on things we need to accomplish today or things at the moment rather than on the bigger picture. The bigger picture is what matters. Work within your means and limit the amount of work it takes to achieve getting the bigger picture. Being that I'm sometimes analytical about things, I tend to overthink the simplest task.

'By Focusing Too Narrowly On Daily Targets, We Miss Opportunities Ahead'
I absolutely love the example given about counting the pictures. There are many times where I get a task and I think narrow mindedly in which I overlook something. By being aware of the big picture, we are able to attain more than by staying within the lines. We must think and act boldly at times to get more out of life in general.

This link is basically telling us to be positive. It says that the difference between unlucky people and lucky people are the thoughts you keep in your head. You need to be able to look at the big picture while focusing on what’s ahead of you at the same time.

INSTANT MBA: 'By Focusing Too Narrowly On Daily Targets, We Miss Opportunities Ahead'
Often times by laser focusing on the immediate task ahead, we miss opportunities that we would see if we weren't keeping our head down. Also, your mindset of the task at hand and the future often determines your results. If you stay optimistic you wont miss the things ahead because you are expecting those good things to happen. If you look at the future negatively, we often miss those breaks or luck we might have just because of our outlook.

INSTANT MBA: 'By Focusing Too Narrowly On Daily Targets, We Miss Opportunities Ahead'
This article is very interesting when thinking about your everyday lives. Being unlucky is going to happen to everyone sooner or later, but the outcome of who is luckier than others is the big picture. When you are working or playing sports or doing your task always try to find a way to make it better. This is guaranteed to help you become luckier and add character to your work when you find the small parts that are not written at hand.

INSTANT MBA: 'By Focusing Too Narrowly On Daily Targets, We Miss Opportunities Ahead'
Many people focus too much on achieving their daily objectives, instead of looking at ways to create new opportunities. People become relaxed and get complacent with the way things are. In order to get different results, you have have to make different choices.

INSTANT MBA: 'By Focusing Too Narrowly On Daily Targets, We Miss Opportunities Ahead'
I agree with the article. It is important to remain focused on the big picture at all times. I have had experience with restaurants where managers focus too much on labor percentages or waste percentages instead of focusing on making sure your customers are happy. Increasing sales fixes most problems and in the long run makes you successful.

INSTANT MBA: 'By Focusing Too Narrowly On Daily Targets, We Miss Opportunities Ahead'
I agree with this article, it discusses the importance of avoiding too much 'tunnel-vision'. To have short-term goals is important to being productive in business, but these goals should be a microcosm of long-term goals. If a business focuses too much on accomplishing a short and simple goal it becomes a 'big' goal and can divert the attention away from the big picture.

I agree with this article only to a certain extent. I say this because it is true having luck on your side is good thing especially when things in life work out in your favor but luck is not real it’s only a sense of imagination, but if a person have faith and believe in the higher power then you have luck and everything else on your side. So luck is good for you to think you have but having faith can take you so much farther.

58 INSTANT MBA: 'By Focusing Too Narrowly On Daily Targets, We Miss Opportunities Ahead'
I agree with this article, it discusses the importance of avoiding too much 'tunnel-vision'. If you only focus on what you need to do on a day to day basis, and not on the big picture, you are not being as successful as you could be. If your short term goals help in your long term ones then this is effective. Otherwise it is not.
