INSTANT MBA: Bad Reviews Can Boost Business In A Big Way
I believe that constructive criticism can be beneficial in any business, especially if the recipient is willing to use it as an opportunity to improve. This article did make me think for a moment about the idea of a public forum at my office where our “customers,” the various agencies under the umbrella of the department I work for, could write a review of their experiences with members of the different support offices in the Office of Management and Finance (Budget, Financial Services, Information Technology, Human Resources, etc.). I would like to think there would be several which read, “We much prefer the current analyst, Clint, when dealing with [insert function provided], instead of our previous analyst. If you are looking for a good analyst, tell the Undersecretary that you would like to work with Clint.”

INSTANT MBA: Bad Reviews Can Boost Business In A Big Way
Reviews are powerful in the business and sometimes even bad reviews can lead to good things. Even bad reviews have merit; with this knowledge, a company knows when a customer is dissatisfied and can work to address his or her grievance. If they address the customer will applaud and praise their efforts. Sometimes receiving criticism helps a company recognize its weaknesses and change its practices accordingly. So look at bad reviews as constructive criticism and learn from them

I know first hand that bad reviews can boost your business because at my job we have it to where the customers can take a survey and rate their experience, mystery shops, and also a customer complaint line. We use those tools to let us know what we can do to make the customer have a great experience and trust me it works. Look at it this way if you don't know how the customer feels how can you statisfy them at the end of the day they are the ones to bring in revenue. Let the customer voice be heard.

Writing a bad review for business really can help the business grow in the long run. It shows you where you weaknesses and it gives you the opportunity to fix it. All businesses fail but once you know what's wrong and fix the problem it's best that it will never happen again because you learn from the experience.

A person who writes a bad review for your business definitely benefits your business more than someone who doesn’t write a review at all. A company can learn a lot from a bad review such as how they can improve, what they need to change, and they can learn of the experience the customer had overall. The customers always right so therefor you need to value their opinion because in the end, it will help you.

INSTANT MBA: Bad Reviews Can Boost Business In A Big Way
Many companies use surveys and feedback emails after visiting their hotel, purchasing a product, or using a service. Before buying anything online, I check the reviews - just to see. If it seems too good to be true, chances are it is. Many companies hire people to write reviews about their product to make them look good. If a company has mixed reviews, but overall good, this could be a great thing. It makes your company look credible and makes people willing to try. With the bad reviews, it can only help your company know what they are doing wrong and what they can do to fix it.

This link talks about how all reviews are good, especially bad ones. When running a service providing business it is good to get bad reviews because that means that the customer expects you to fix the problem and not about to move on to the competition. This shows that they are not about to leave and gives the company a chance to prove that they are capable of fixing the problem. Approaching reviews how a company reacts to the bad ones determines how long will they be around.

I definitely think negative feedback can be beneficial. It gives you an idea of what needs to be tweaked to make the whole process better for the consumer. I think "review" sites have become an popular tool for companies to use for consumer feedback. These sites help the business know what they are doing right and what can be fixed. They are also good because other consumers are able to get a feel of what your business may be about.

Constructive criticism is something that everyone can learn from on a day to day basis. In business, the only way to move forward is to understand any flaws within the business. The best way to understand where to address your focus is by asking the customer. That being said, whether or not you receive positive or negative feedback tells you what you need to improve on or continue doing. Customer reviews can help make or break a company's reputation.

INSTANT MBA: Bad Reviews Can Boost Business In A Big Way
I think that this article gives a fantastic idea. In many cases, manager are not able to see every aspect of the business and how it is doing. For this reason, it would be a great idea to ask the customers. The customers are the ones that get to experience everything come together. They experience the service, the product, and almost every other aspect of a business. This is why managers should be talking to the customers about what is good and what needs to be improved. Customer's reviews should be taken seriously and should be put to good use.

Matt McCormick has great points in the article and I agree with having good and bad reviews. Having a bad review can help with the credibility of your good reviews. When your employees know a customer can write a review about them it can make the service better. Store owners should use these reviews to help with improvements and even get new ideas from customers. This can lead to better customer satisfaction.

Matt McCormick is correct when he says businesses should utilize the web review sites to help out their businesses. Even with negative reviews, the owner can work with the customer to resolve the issue at hand and turn the review around. By doing so, he does increase the credibility of his firm. This shows prospective customers that the owner will do whatever it takes to make the customer happy and right. Most informed consumers become so by utilizing either the web or word of mouth. Business owners would be wise to sign up for and utilize these various sites to ensure that consumers get a true picture of what the company has to offer and how it's run.

INSTANT MBA: Bad Reviews Can Boost Business In A Big Way
I agree that reviews can be beneficial to a business. In today's world, it is simple to do a quick Google search and find plenty reviews of products/services. Customers use them to decide if the product is worth purchasing and businesses can use them to know what their strengths and weaknesses are. To me, it is a win-win situation. Without reviews businesses would not know what they need to work on. When I play sports, I don't know that I need to work on something or fix it if I don't know what I am doing incorrectly. It is the same for business. A short, simple review can be super helpful for a business.

Instant MBA: Bad Reviews Can Boost Business In A Big Way Reviews can make or break a company but to some extent. Like the article states, having reviews whether good or bad will defiantly make your company seem credible. It will give people the true idea of what that company is about. Reviews will help a company improve. If several customers keep writing about how the customer service is bad or the food then that company has a chance to improve those areas. It gives the company outside resources on how they are doing.
