INSTANT MBA: There's A Certain Method To Attracting Talent By Using The Web
The Internet has become such a powerful tool for employers to find talent. First, it is important that companies disclose what the business is all about in an informative website, so potential customers can learn about the mission and vision of the firm. Second, the organization should post on their websites the jobs currently available and the forms for prospective employees to apply. Through the Internet, a company can reach a wide variety of talent, so every business should harness this tool to find the people who are the best fit for the organization. However, because everyone can apply online to any jobs, the human resources department has the challenge to filter applications and select the people who are really qualified for the job.

Instant MBA: There Is Certain Method To Attracting Talent By Using The Web This article was very interesting. Both companies and potential employees are linked by the internet. The only downfall I have to mention is: the companies that determine whether or not a potential employee meets the qualifications from their postings on a social network. Other than that I agree 100% with this article. The internet is a powerful tool that helps promote businesses, and with the consist advancement in technology, promoting your business’s vision, goals, and mission via internet will be a huge success.

INSTANT MBA: There's A Certain Method To Attracting Talent By Using The Web
The information in this article is very interesting. I know that from personal experiences of try to recruit talent and also trying to market myself as an individual, the web plays a big role in these activities today. Within my organization, we often use Linkedin when we take our first look at a potential candidate. There are several things and individual can do on Linkedin to promote their work activities and make connections. Many times we will use this tool to look at an individual’s experience. This has to be approached with caution and understood that the information may not be completely accurate, but it is a way to begin the process. I also know that I have had several job opportunities arise from my Linkedin profile and activities over the last several months.

INSTANT MBA: There's A Certain Method To Attracting Talent By Using The Web
Technology is constantly changing and more and more people are turning to the internet for everything. I think the idea of recruiting potential employees over the internet, through social media, is a very interesting and also great idea. It is interesting because a lot of businesses today actually look to see what potential employees and current employees are posting on their twitter, facebook, etc. Though many may say this is violation of privacy, I don't agree. It's on the internet! It's not private at all! This is a good way for employers to see what kind of person this potential employee is by looking at the types things they post. It is also a good way to see if current employees are bashing your company and brand, because believe it or not many employees do that. Creating a strong web identity for your company is very important. Potential employees should be able to gather enough information about your company to know if they would be a perfect fit for your company.

Social media has made a huge impact on society the past decade. The majority of people in the U.S. have a smart phone or a computer that they connect with other people through Facebook or Twitter everyday. As a business owner, you must be able to advertise your business through these media sites so that you can get qualified and experienced workers to come work for you. INSTANT MBA: There's A Certain Method To Attracting Talent By Using The Web
There are a lot of ways to be discouraged on the internet. People that have a good website on Facebook or LinkedIn will have a better change of standing out when employers search for potential team members. You want to be honest whenever you set up a site for yourself. I think that it would be really good to start my own website and have something my employers would like to see.

INSTANT MBA: There's A Certain Method To Attracting Talent By Using The Web
Online applications and resumes have become a new trend with the growing use of the internet. Finding talented workers is the hard part. Anyone can put a resume on the internet and apply for a job. Depending on how they type and what they write, you can find workers who will be dedicated to your job and could possibly have the talent that you are looking for. Making a standard that employees and prospective workers must adhere to is one way to weed out the one's who are not overly interested in your business.

INSTANT MBA: Collaborating Virtually Is Actually Better Than Physically
This is true, but I think it depends on the type of business. If providing a service, a physical building is a must. I do believe that all companies have better advantages communicating than ever before. Virtually is a essential element needed to succeed in the business world-with and without an office building. All departments of the company benefit with virtually capabilities from hiring, sales and marketing. Having this tool makes all these departments run more efficient and productive. It a necessity for all businesses in this time of competition.

INSTANT MBA: There's A Certain Method To Attracting Talent By Using The Web
A company's online presence could be more important than the physical presence because the majority it consumers now go online first to search for whatever they need. A quick google search will bring up the company's website, reviews about the company, their twitter and facebook pages, and possibly articles written about them. If your website is not interesting or lacks information to inform and connect the consumer then they may automatically eliminate you as an option. If the company has bad reviews then you will for sure lose business. It is very important to keep a great reputation online and physically.

INSTANT MBA: There's A Certain Method To Attracting Talent By Using The Web
The web truly is your best friend when you're trying to market a new company or if you're looking for a new job. I'm not familiar with LinkedIn but Facebook and Twitter continue to grow as major hubs to advertise your business and connect to a much larger audience. It's also nice to be able to have the mission statement and organizational goals written on a company website which also helps potential employees find out more about the company and to see if they are a good fit for it.

INSTANT MBA: There's A Certain Method To Attracting Talent By Using The Web I think using the internet to attract employees is a technique that can have positive and negative results. The internet would allow companies to reach out to millions of people who otherwise wouldn't know about the business and allow them to read exactly what the company is looking for. I also think the internet isn't that good of a strategy because people could easily get the wrong impression about what your business is about and the goals it's trying to obtain. Also people on the internet always lie about themselves so companies could set up interviews for potential employees only for them to not have the background they said they had on the internet, wasting the company's valuable time.

INSTANT MBA: There's A Certain Method To Attracting Talent By Using The Web
Seeking employees online can be a very troublesome process because you never know exactly who you’re talking to. Keeping a professional-style webpage will be the first step to showing other people that you has a serious organization that allows people to become part of something much bigger than them. This produces passion. Optimizing the brands via social networking is a great way to market the availability of jobs but my personal experience with this lies off the web. The only way I’ve ever been hired is through word of mouth.

INSTANT MBA: There's A Certain Method To Attracting Talent By Using The Web
Local and Moblie marketing is exploding and people are using social media more now than ever to promote things like their business, talent, and even shows on television. I find it more effective to do it that way because now and days when I am looking for a place to eat or even get my hair done I go straight online to look for photos and even reviews. Social Media is proven to help your business grow by just mainly making everything accessible by the click of a button. Put your business on the internet and watch how it grows.
