INSTANT MBA: Time Is Money, But More Time Doesn't Equate To More Money
I believe is healthy to keep a balance between work and personal life. Nowadays, this is an important issue in most companies because after the last economic crisis many firms had to layoff employees and find ways to make their processes more efficient. This issue overloaded many employees, which caused a lot of stress among workers. In my opinion, companies need to devise plans to allow their workers enough time to do activities other than work. It is essential that employees understand the importance of taking some time off to recharge their batteries and keep their productivity at high levels. Many people are facing what Emily Eldridge went through, and it is never to late to realize that everyone needs a work-life balance.

it is very important to take time for yourself not only for your health but for your job performance. It is easy to get burnt out and when this happens your work can suffer. This is not only bad for the company but bad for your health like the article said. There should a balance of time for work and time for yourself. This will allow you to be more creative while at work and more dedicated to your work as well. As an effective leader, you should make sure that your employees have enough time in between projects so that they do not feel rushed. This will allow for projects to completed more accurately as well as lead to less burn out of employees.

Instant MBA: Time Is Money, but More Time Doesn’t Equate To More Money This article is every bit of true. I feel that generating too much time into a task will eventually become overwhelming and take a toll mentally, physically, and emotionally. I understand that achieving goals and deadlines are important, but to not take time to breathe is just setting the body up for self-destruction. Most people think that spending extra time on an assignment is okay, and that they will actually benefit from it. That information is far from accurate. Dedicating too much time to a project will affect the performance level, and the actual outcome will not be at its full potential because of the poor performance level generated into it. There is nothing wrong with taking a step back to reevaluate a few things, and start fresh with some new ideas to add. This applies to both the leader and employees, because everyone needs a breather at some point

INSTANT MBA: Time Is Money, But More Time Doesn't Equate To More Money
There is no doubt that time is money, but I have to agree with this article that more time does not always equate to more money. Not only can it be unhealthy and exhausting if you do not take time between projects, but it can also cause you to be inefficient. I know from personal experiences that in times that I have had several projects overlapping one another, I begin to feel like there is no end in sight. I will begin to become overwhelmed with all of the deadlines and feel that I am just driving a deadline and have no real vision for the projects. I have had personal experience where this has happened and I begin to feel much less effective in my project management. Once I have realized this and taken a little time between projects to reflect on things, it becomes much easier to develop that vision for each project and drive results.

Well on a salary based income yes. However, if you are an hourly worker and you are able to be paid ridiculous amount of overtime, there might be a possibility that more time does equal more money. We don't live in never land and that has not ever happened, unless they have done this and the accountants from the IRS caught them. It is a good idea to get yourself to a healthy state of mind and know that you are not a one person worker. Just make sure to give yourself personal time and treat yourself with respect.

INSTANT MBA: The Biggest Mistake Leaders Make Is Not Having A Strategy
I agree that leaders must have a strategy to be successful. Without strategies, leaders just float and guide and eventually sink. Leaders need to be focused in order to succeed. Strategies can change as the company develops and grows, but needed to move forward. Leaders are the main driver of a company, and must be willing to take on the responsibility and guidance to move the company ahead.

INSTANT MBA: Time Is Money, But More Time Doesn't Equate To More Money
Overworking yourself will definitely lead to bad health and low performance levels. Everyone needs a break and as a business owner it is your responsibility to make sure that both you and your employees get the appropriate amount of breaks in between tasks. We all know that in the business world there's always a deadline that needs to be met, but there is no reason why you are your employees should constantly be overworking. It is very important to organize and prioritize tasks so that you and your employees are aware of what is more important and also due to be completed first. I believe that organizing and prioritizing task can help when it comes to overworking. Knowing how much time you have to complete a task and making sure that you give yourself enough time to complete it will allow you to also add a break or two once this task is completed.

INSTANT MBA: Time Is Money, But More Time Doesn't Equate To More Money
If you over work yourself, projects start to run together and you will begin to lose perspective on each individual project. You give yourself a break so that you can look at the next project and be able to make the best decisions for it. If you jump right in to a new project from the previous one, you can't be 100% vested in the new project because you're still thinking about the last one. Give yourself time to breathe.

INSTANT MBA: Time Is Money, But More Time Doesn't Equate To More Money
As a full-time college student working two jobs, I have found all of the article to be true. If you mentally leave work when you clock out, you find time to actually sort out problems and your performance increases. I feel that this is true because you have given your brain time to relax and you do not overanalyze anything. Also, you become more productive when you are at work.

INSTANT MBA: Time Is Money, But More Time Doesn't Equate To More Money
In this article she states that she is not talking about work-life balance, but that is actually what it boils down to. When a person works to much i believe they tend to miss out on the more important things in life like family, friends, alone time, and even nature. One is not supposed to work hard but one is supposed to work smart. It is important to take a breather from your job because you will get burnt out and sometimes want to quit because it is to much. When I start feeling that way I know it is time for me to take a break. And when I take a break I come back refreshed, renewed and actually ready to work. I dare you just to go to a park get on a swing and relax your self and see how rejuvenating it is. My point is life is not all about work it is about living happily.

INSTANT MBA: Time Is Money, But More Time Doesn't Equate To More Money
Time is money, but once you attempt to delegate the majority of your time making money you will most likely lose money and definitely lose important relationships. If you never take a break from working the stress of that mentality wears your brain down and you begin to make mistakes you wouldn't have made if you weren't rushing and stressed out. Also time off is refreshing and allows you to look at business tasks a different way than you did before you took a break. If you are too close to the problem or to the action and unable to step back things will just progressively worse.

INSTANT MBA: Time Is Money, But More Time Doesn't Equate To More Money
Over working yourself is something you should avoid at all costs but it's something we do constantly. I sometimes do it and don't realize it until I take a break and I'm completely drained. It can be extremely costly for a manager to do as well. You could end up making the wrong decision that could end up hurting the company; and it could have been avoided if you had a more balanced work schedule.

INSTANT MBA: Time Is Money, But More Time Doesn't Equate To More Money
I definitely agree with the author that overworking is bad for you and your business. I have personally experienced this and overworked myself to the point of being burnout. I was working at two different restaurant locations, working about sixty hours a week, and commuting over an hour to one of the restraints. There were points when I wouldn't sleep for days at a time and it was really taking a toll on my body. My boss finally insisted I take a vacation and get out of the restaurant for a week. This really helped and I was then able to realize that overworking was not good for me or my performance.

INSTANT MBA: Time Is Money, But More Time Doesn't Equate To More Money
I agree that time is money in the aspect of working for an hourly wage, however everyone needs a balance. If you stay focused on one job for too long, it will cause you to overlook things that should deserve your attention. Like the girl in the example presented in this article, if you try to put in over 100+ hours of work, you might get paid a big pay check but that does not account for the adverse effect that has on your health and your focus. Keeping a healthy work-life balance is important to improving your processes.
