INSTANT MBA: People Don't Work Well When They're Scared
I agree that looking at past methods that may be outdated can influence new ideas for future methods. Many methods that we may have used before my be inefficient, so trying something new is always well worth it. I believe we should at least try new things to see if they are better, worse, or about the same.

I agree with this article. When people work in an environment in which they are afraid all of the time, they wouldn’t be likely to try new things they may help the business. You could also lose good people that could make your business go to the next level. Also, if you make your workers feel good about their job they mostly will keep doing better and better.

INSTANT MBA: People Don't Work Well When They're Scared
A common misconception among management is that employees need to be 'watched closely to avoid mistakes'. The concept holds true in the training and early process of educating a new hire, but over time this point of view can seem to be intimidating. No employee responds well to being overly criticized or intimidated, and this can be counter-productive for that employee's work. This article discusses the importance of avoiding being 'over-cautious' towards seasoned employees.

I agree with the idea that an employee does not work well if they feel scared or threatened. How long does a person stay in this environment if there are others elsewhere that don't intimidate? I feel like a business that runs its day-to-day operations like this would do more harm then good. Scaring people doesn't motivate them to get work done, encouragement does, positive reinforcement does. If a business runs this way then they need to reevaluate the culture and management of superiors. An employee that is relaxed and comfortable will be able to create great things, if under the iron fist of a company, they are less limey to come up with a great idea. I feel like intimidation and fear doesn't allow for creativity due to the pressure an employee feels to get it done or else.

INSTANT MBA : People Don't Work Well When They're Scared
I liked this article. It discusses the importance of creating a work environment that does not include fear. Sometimes fear is created in a workplace when employees feel like that have to jump through hoops to get into door and then continually prove themselves to their supervisors. Employers should enable employees to work their best but make sure expectations are known.

50 INSTANT MBA: People Don't Work Well When They're Scared
When you're scared or nervous in a work environment you tend to not want to make mistakes. If your job is on the line you do not want to take any chancing because you may get fired. If you don’t take chances it is very hard to progress in a company. You never want am employee to be scared when they are working for you. Reassure them that they have nothing to worry about.
