Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
Recognition is important, when you are not being recognize in a workplace, the employee starts to think that nobody cares about there hard work and dedication that they put on the line each and everyday. I like to recognize people when they do a good job or a bad job. Recognition is one of the most important things when trying to keep an employee motivated. I try to keep people that I work for motivated by telling them good job or just by sending an employee recognizing everything them do on a daily basis on the job.

INSTANT MBA: Recognition is The Best Motivator
Recognizing someone on their accomplishments can always boost the confidence of a certain individual. Everyone likes to feel that they have actually done an important duty for the company and has been recognized for it, rather than feeling as if they are a small fish in a big pond. Just as playing on a softball team, everyone wants to play and everyone wants to know when they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. They also like to be recognized for their hard work. If someone is working harder than others then things like that always needs to be recognized because it will push others to work hard too. But if hard work goes unrecognized then the individual might eventually quit showing that hard work.

I definitely agree with this link of the day. Building people up through compliments makes them feel great and makes them want to work for you. People like to be recognized for what they do no matter how small. Recognition coming from upper level management means a lot.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
Recognition is absolutely the best motivation, especially in a culture of competitiveness and excitement. I work with a fun company that motivates us with competitions that gets us worker hard for the recognition at the end of a competition. Recognition for even small things give people a reason to feel that their efforts are valuable which makes them work harder for more recognition. The writer makes a great point by saying that recognition buys you more time. And during that time, there may be drastic changes that continue to influence the workers to continue forward.

Employee recognition can be as simple as a handwritten note or e-mail, or as elaborate as Corcoran's "giant gold ribbons" and trophies she awarded for high-priced sales. I think that employee recognition is good for employee morale.

I have always been a big believer in using recognition as a motivator. If you can make the people that work for you feel good for how they do their jobs, than you will get more out of them. Also, if you are giving your employees recognition they wouldn’t be as worried to find a new job and work the best they can for you.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
"Be hearty in your approbation and lavish in your praise", "Show honest and sincere appreciation" once said Dale Carnegie. People respond more effectively to being recognized than any other motivator a manager can ethically offer. This article gives reference to the importance of making sure each employee is recognized as an effective member of the team. I agree with this article.

I agree with this article in that recognition is a very powerful tool that can be used by an employer. If people use this tool as a device to have employees compete within the business for that recognition then surely the output will go up. Like I stated in an earlier post, when I was younger I thrived on that, the positive words from my teachers. It felt like it was bragging rights for me over the class if I knew every answer to the problem. This in essence is the same thing. One person does great work gets recognized then perhaps another person gets recognized for something then you have competition there to see who can produce the best work. If this tool is used correctly, without a doubt it will motivate workers to go beyond their capabilities.

Instant MBA : Recognition Is The Best Motivator
This article reminds me of link#42. Recognition is important in employee morale. If employees receive recognition, they feel important to the company and in turn they are more productive. This is good for both the company and employees. I agree with this article 100%.

47 Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
Recognizing how well an employee is doing is a great motivator. If they think that they have been doing a great job, because you said they did, then they will tend to continue to do a great job. However if they do all of the this work and you don’t say anything to them they may feel less inclined to continue to work as hard.
