Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
I could read this article over and over again. I wish I could send this article to a few managers, past and present. There is no better way to motivate an employee than by recognizing what they are doing. Even if it's a small email or note. A simple email stating how well an employee may have worked on a job or what they have accomplished while being at the job. It makes a huge difference when you know that someone is recognizing the good things an employee is doing. Lucky for me, I have had a couple managers I have worked with that believe in this idea. They continue to see what is getting done and the quality of work their employees are bringing to the table. Needless to say, everyone wants managers.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
I agree with this article one-hundred percent. Recognition, sadly, is a lost art in today's business world. I find it very rare that employees, especially at my job, are recognized and praised when they do a good job. Many times I have seen hardworking employees find new ways to boost production and it is for some reason overlooked. I know that recognition would boost morale at my job especially.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
Recognition is an important motivator. If an employee does something out of the ordinary for the company and it does not get recognized, then most likely the next time he will not do it again. When employees get recognized for their efforts they will work harder and try to do it again so they stand out from the rest of the company. Everyone likes to be recognized for their efforts, just as the article said, it is enough just to send them a note or an e-mail or something simple, that will be enough for them to know they are been recognized.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
This article talks about motivating employees through recognition. It is obvious that when people feel valued, they bring positiveness and enthusiasm into table. Business leader must understand this. They need to recognize effort of their employees and recognize them. Recognition can take any form froma simplest thank-you note, or an email message to something fancy like vacation packages or other.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
This article talks about recognition and how it is the best motivator. By recognizing people for what they have accomplished this motivates them to want to do more for the business. I believe this is true and you should recognize people for what they do. So if you're a leader or manger show your team recognition and they will want to do more to receive more recognition.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
All people want to be valued and recognized for a job well done. This is similar to other post in this series. However, I must highlight that the recognition must be genuine. An employee will be insulted if the recognition is not trustworthy. Insincerity can be sensed quickly by an employee. It is better not to give recognition than to give a half-hearted acknowledgement that may have an ulterior motive. A positive and constructive culture will be greatly damaged if SINCERE recognition is not given.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
When a employee is recognized for going above and beyond the specifications of their job to get a problem solved or an objective met, then it motivates that employee to always do this. It also boosts the employee's morale and job satisfaction. This employee will always want to go above and beyond and he will think of the company as a positive place to work. Praise will always work to improve the efficiency of an employee.

it’s always important to recognize hard working employees. If they are recognized after doing something, they won’t mind doing other things. It’s all about giving employees their recognition when due. Then the word might get around and everyone else might try to do the same in order to be recognized too.

This article goes hand-in-hand with the one about company culture. Developing a sense of thankfulness and a recognition that your employees are hard-working and that you notice what they do for you everyday is something that will make them want to work longer and harder for your company. They do this because they believe in the company, because they company believes in them.

As previously mentioned in prior post, I definitely agree that recognition encourages motivation. When a person is recognized for something good they get this feeling of enjoyment that they accomplished something. Once an employee feels a sense of value, they don't mind goin the extra mile to exceed expections. At my job, the encourage recognizing one another for the work they put in and as a professional I intend to follow the lead of motivating and rewarding my employees.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
I agree with the article entirely. I struggled with this the most when I first started managing employees and I still have to work towards making myself recognize other's contributions verbally. I have always been of the mindset that you shouldn't be thanked for doing a job and believed that the paycheck was my thanks. I quickly learned that most people do not feel this way. Employees for the most part not only want recognition from their superiors but need it.

Recognition Is The Best Motivator
This is by far is one of my favorite articles, I can honestly relate to it! I work for a great company that I will always be loyal to due to how they recognize me even if I may have done something small. They make me feel so valued and important, as though if I were not to be there, it would be noticeable. Recognition truly is the best motivator! It does keep the employee happy and as the article says "builds them up" which is such an encouragement! Most importantly, I feel that being a manager that recognizes their employees can make all the difference on whether the employee leaves or stays with the company even if the other new job options offers more because I personally would prefer to be in a place that recognizes my work and appreciates me over getting more money and not being recognized and being just another "addition" to the company.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
Once a person works hard and finally gets recognized for their hard work, it is an exhilarating feeling that they want to experience again. Employees then began to put more effort into the work they do because they understand they can make an impact. No matter how much a person says "it's just a job," when that moment comes it becomes a tad bit more than just a job.
