Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
The emphasis on employee recognition that this article discusses is a very valid point. In order for employees to feel a strong drive and really want to push for a companies success, there must have be a manager that is pushing them. Managers that are willing to uplift employees, find that the employees will be fare more driven and productive.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
Employees always want to hear that they are performing satisfactorily, even outstandingly. In tough times, whether it be when pink slips are going out, or when the economy is bad, a letter from a manager congratulating the employee for outstanding performance is a welcomed occurrence. As I have worried about in the past couple of years, the state government has cut back on employees as the economy was sour. One of the things that kept me positive was that my boss was very thankful for my excellent work ethic and the hard work I put in day-in-day-out.

recognizing people for their success is critical everywhere, not just in business. Its why schools gives grades, the military gives medals, and sports gives trophies. i am not sure why business ever felt differently. I have always recognized my employees either as a manager or owner, and I have always had motivated people. I learned that skill from the Army.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
This article states obvious when an employee feels there hard work is getting recognized they tend to give it their all. One thing you must watch out for is other employees getting detached because of one person getting all the praise. This is wear you earn keep in management or owninging a business.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
Recognition Is The Best Motivator hands down! This article speakes volumes. Yesterday we had a meeting at work and during the meeting we recognized one of the employees for all of her hard work, she was named employee of the month and recieved and Visa gift card. After the meeting and the store opened she worked even harder than she did before! She said 'Ahri I want to keep my title as employee of the month for as long as im here' that's all a manager ever wants to hear.

This article shows that a little recognition goes a long way. It is very important to make your employees feel valued within a company and it doesn’t take a lot. You can do as little as writing them a brief note or recognizing their accomplishments in front of everyone during a business meeting. During these hard economic times, it can leave your employees feeling stressed or worried and that can cause them to not work to their full potential. A little recognition can give them relief and encourage them to not only keep up the good work but strive to do more.

I believe recognition is a great way to show employees how you appreciate them especially some people are not getting raises or promotions. In these hard times people are told to just be lucky that they still have a job. Many people are overwhelmed. They are working harder and getting paid less and less. A little recognition goes a long way

If people know they will get recognized and their work is appreciated they will put forth way more effort than they would have if no recognition was given. When you are given the credit you deserve it really does encourage you to keep working hard towards everything.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
Telling someone, "That is a great idea!" or "This looks fantastic! Good job John Smith!". This motivates others to keep working hard and striving to do their best because they are being recognized for their hard work. It is important to acknowledge people when they come up with a great product, idea, or whatever it may be. If a person feels they are not appreciated, their work can begin to suffer. Therefore the creativity and innovation are sacrificed. An employee needs to feel as if they are making a difference and their opinion's are being valued.

I agree with this article. I feel it is very important to recognize the people who are working for you. It gives them a sense of belonging and makes them want to continue to contribute to the team. As you recognize your employees they feel more invested in the business and strive for greater outputs. If you are not recognizing the work your employees are putting in for you then you risk the chance of turnover or poor work production. If the work they are putting in is continually overlooked nothing is keeping them from wanting to work harder and produce better outcomes.

Recognizing employees can help a company tremendously. This is done by letting them know they are important. A manager should always do this. It would not only keep employees productive, but will also raise productivity. It would also put the employee to ease to know that they are being recognized for their efforts.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
This article is much like a article we have had in the past, and I do agree with both article. I believe that employees are so important to a company's success. When your employees are working hard and doing great things within the company they should be recognized! Everyone likes recognition for their hard work and when they get it they may just work harder and come up with even more ideas that will help the company become even more successful. Being recognized for your hard work makes you proud and willing to do more so that you will be recognized more.

I agree with Barbara Corcoran with recognition of employees. This recognition of people works in many different ways. You can tell someone good job, great work, keep up the hard work and any other inspiring words daily to motivate employees. You can also give employees of the month recognition by maybe a better parking spot, lunch for the week or any kind of incentive to give other employees the idea that if you work hard you get rewarded. Reward for hard work can result in more success and lead to a continuous of hard work.

This article is stressing the importance of morale team building at the workplace. The success of all companies are dependent on the workers themselves. Whenever they are properly motivated or engaged in the task at hand then they will work at their best. Also building their confidence or giving them the sense of recognition would help anyone feel better psychologically. From there the results will be seen in their work.

This is one of the articles I agree with most! The author is 100% correct when she says recognition will "marry" the employees to you forever. Many times, I've worked with and for people who were positive role models and who went out of their way to make me feel valued. They let me know that I was an asset to the company and that I was a unique worker for someone of my age. This praise never failed to increase my desire to work harder to both please them and to prove myself time and again. It's human nature for us to WANT to do more for those who show up respect and admiration and to not care about those who shun or criticize us. Therefore, like the author says, employers should always try their best to avoid "emotional recessions" at any cost.
