Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
This article discusses how employers should recognize employees for their hard work. I agree with this article on recognizing employees. If a employee works really hard but never get told they are doing a good job they may start to slack on their hard work. When employees are recognized for what they do for the business it makes them feel like they are important to the business and not just another worker. Always remember to recognize employees for what they do. There are several ways you can recognize employees for their hard work like verbally thanking them, writing them a letter or sending them a e-mail, giving them a certificate or trophy, or giving them a small gift.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator I agree with this article because everyone loves to get recognized for his or her work. Recognition is powerful and could really motivate an employee to work harder to just be recognized again. Employees are not the only people who like to recognized, higher level managers and owners probably want to be recognized more than their employees since they are higher up the ladder. For a business owner to get recognized by his community would mean a lot to him because people would see that he or her is doing their best to better the community. Recognition gives someone a sense of accomplishment and self confidence that really can't be duplicated in any other way in a business.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
Great article. I 100% agree that recognition is a great motivational tool and companies, oddly enough, tend to overlook it. In my experience whenever I praised an employee, the excitement for their job would immediately skyrocket. The truth is no one EVER gets tired of hearing of how good of a job that they’re doing.

I can say from experience that this article is completely true. Nothing makes you feel good and involved and motivated than a congratulations from a leader or manager. Just a simple word here or there would do fine, and it would make a world of difference for the ethic, enthusiasm, and enjoyment of his job.

Alt link 47: INSTANT MBA: A Big Indicator Of Work Ethic Is If You've Worked From A Very Young Age
Everyone likes a hard worker, however someone who shows they have started working form a young age and has worked at many different jobs can be a bad sign. Elting worked at a variety of jobs, but why is it she couldn't start at one job and stay there and rise through the ranks? She may be a hard worker but that does not always mean she is a good worker.

Like several other articles were, recognition by your superior can go a very long way. It helps you get up in the morning and go to work. Recognition is better that a raise sometimes.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
Recognition and encouragement have always been a good way to motivate employees to do their best. As mentioned in this article, and in previous articles, employees knowing that their hard work is not going unnoticed, nor unappreciated, is the biggest motivator of all. In these rough economic times, where job security is low, people need encouragement to continue to work hard, and this encouragement can be easily given through recognition.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
I have seen many managers recognize me for doing what I was supposed to be doing. This article definitely made a great point. I believe if supervisors and upper management recognize their employees for the good they do they will indeed increase productivity and the confidence levels of their employees. When employees are recognized for what they do for the business it makes them feel like they are important to the business and not just another worker.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
Having worked for the same company for eleven and a half years a few years back, I agree with this article. When you praise an employee for a job well done, it makes that employee feel good about their job and position with the company. Sometimes employers forget to praise the good because they are focused on fixing the bad. It is okay to tell an employee where their weaknesses are, but counter that with pointing out their strengths. This helps the employee take the constructive criticism without feeling bad about their job.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
I agree with this article whole heartedly. I put a lot of effort into what I do at work. We lost one of the members of our management team and I picked up all of her slack, without being asked. My boss tells me thank you for all my hard work but he does not give me any recognition from our big boss. Because I did not receive this recognition, I was passed over for a promotion. Since then I have not felt very motivated because none of my hard work get recognized. I learned a valuable lesson from the situation though. In the future when I own my own business I will ensure that I give my employees the recognition that they deserve.

INSTANT MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
From my personal experience, when I was an employee as well as the manager, I find that recognition is always a phenomenal motivator. When people feel appreciated, and when I know m work is being appreciated by the company or even just by my other coworkers, it makes me more motivated to continue to do a great job. On top of that being recognized for your work means that not only do they notice it but if they do then probably someone higher up does as well which is always a huge motivator for me.

Absolutely! Recognition can also be fun. At my current place of employment we give monthly recognition to teams with a rock trophy. And at the end of each month the current team gets to pick the next team to recognize. This also involves a presentation as to why the next team is being chosen and involves cake for all. It's a great motivator for sure.

Recognizing employees will help motivate your employees. Recognizing them will help them, help the company to succeed. People want to know when they are doing a good job. When they are doing a good job and are not recognized they will get burnt out and potentially leave the company. A company needs to hold on to great employees so their company will be great.

Instant MBA: Recognition Is The Best Motivator
Recognition is what motivates most employees to be the best. we have a program at work that the highest selling employee gets free things and other incentives to push each other. this creates a friendly and fun work competition. When the winner is choosen they are recognized and are congratulated on their effort.

INSTANT MBA: A Big Indicator Of Work Ethic Is If You've Worked From A Very Young Age
I think working from ayoung age is applaudable but I do not think it has anything to do with whether you have a good work ethic or not. I think that is only determined by observing and getting to know an employee. So, to look at someone's history regardless if they have held steady jobs or jumped around from job to job, I think it is naive to be able to think that you can tell anything by just knowing they began working at a young age.
