Instant MBA: Keep Calling Until You Get Them On The Phone, And Never Leave A Message
If you are ever in the situation where you have to contact somebody for business you should make sure you answer the phone with a good greeting and never leave a message. I know when a telemarketer calls my phone I usually don't even answer or I just hang up. When people sound like a voice recorder I hang up because I'm not even talking to a real person. If you want the person you are contacting to feel special make sure you personally talk to them and always answer with a good greeting.

Instant MBA: Keep Calling Until You Get Them On The Phone, And Never Leave A Message I agree with this article because so many people feel as if leaving a voice mail or messages stresses the importance of your message but I completely disagree. I think if something is that important, then you should keep calling until you get them on the phone to discuss the situation. Leaving messages is never the best way of getting in touch with someone because more likely if they told you to leave a message then they told many other people to leave a message therefore having too many messages to check. Your message would probably never be read, resulting in you calling back so you might as well keep calling until you get an answer from someone.

Instant MBA: Keep Calling Until You Get Them On The Phone, And Never Leave A Message
This article kind of bugs me just because I don’t like telemarketers haha. If I don’t know a number, I usually don’t answer. Blakely basically says “keep calling until they answer!”, which is the part of the article I dislike. I personally could not stand if someone called me over and over until I answered the phone. I mean I can respect persistency but jeesh.

Instant MBA: Keep Calling Until You Get Them On The Phone, And Never Leave A Message
In all my experience in job hunting and working, there is no better way to make a difference than to actually talk to someone, live and in person, or at least over the phone directly to them. When that manager has to sift through piles and piles of junk and applications from every old lollygagger in the city, you need to find a way to differentiate yourself from all the other stuff. That will mean more than whatever is on your resume and how well you look when you come in.

Alt link 46: INSTANT MBA: Leaders Must Be Great Speakers
If you are a leader and not capable at speaking to your employees then you have some serious problems. Leaders need to be able to communicate to their followers what the purpose is, where the company is heading and what the goals are. Many people will be lost if a leader can not articulate these things. That feeling of being lost will leas to a sense of anger eventually leading to your loss of control in the workplace.

This is no way to make a living. I hate these people who call me out of the blue when I have no need for their product nor have I shown any interests. Go get an education and get a real job you bum. Do not call me.

Instant MBA: Keep Calling Until You Get Them On The Phone, And Never Leave A Message
Persistance can really make a difference in a lot of sales type jobs. If you settle to leave a voicemail, people will easily "forget" to call you back, ignore what you're selling, or simply never hear the voicemail. If you actually get a person on the phone, it requires them to be attentive to what you're offering and provide their feedback. As the article explains, it can be the difference in making the sale or losing it.

Instant MBA: Keep Calling Until You Get Them On The Phone, And Never Leave A Message
Make it to where the only way a potential buyer can get rid of you is by at least listening to what you have to say.It is more important to talk to the person you are trying to make a sale to versus leaving a message.I think if something is that important, then you should keep calling until you get them on the phone to discuss the situation. When that manager has to sift through piles and piles of junk and applications from every old lollygagger in the city, you need to find a way to differentiate yourself from all the other stuff.

Instant MBA: Keep Calling Until You Get Them On The Phone, And Never Leave A Message
There's nothing worse than a nagging sales pitch over the phone in the middle of a busy workday. If a salesman leaves a message, it's almost a guarantee he will not get a call back. Another words, I agree with this article. If selling over the phone is your job, develop an approach that grabs the attention of the party on the other end of the phone. If not, the caller on the other end will likely start telling you they are busy and have no time for a sales pitch.

Instant MBA: Keep Calling Until You Get Them On The Phone, And Never Leave A Message
I think this article gives good advice that I could utilize in the future. I currently have a management internship at Harrah's casino in New Orleans. I have to make a lot of phone calls and because I am trying to reach busy business people, it often goes to voicemail. I leave voicemails but they rarely call back. I will begin to not leave voicemails so that I can call multiple times a day until I receive an answer!!

INSTANT MBA: Keep Calling Until You Get Them On The Phone, And Never Leave A Message
As the article stated, I think that there are too many people who are afraid of rejection, which makes them hesitant to keep calling. When I am trying to reach a customer, I always make sure they answer, I think that it is important for them to hear you through the phone, and what your personality is like. It is much easier to build a relationship with them that way, as well as giving them the reassurance that they are important and you want to get to know them. Keep pursuing your client or customer, it can benefit way more than waiting for them to call you.

Instant MBA: Keep Calling Until You Get Them On The Phone, And Never Leave A Message I can image that it's already hard trying to convince and sell things to people over the phone. I don't think in this case you should leave a voice message as I would think communication is vital to reaching out to future customers. You have to be able to make that great lasting impression so that it's memorable.

You have to be determined when starting a business. Do not give up. Keep calling and contacting people until they give you the answer you want, not what they want. Leaving a message will let them come up with a answer you may not like. Getting them on the phone will help you catch them off guard, and they do not have time to dwell on their decision.

Instant MBA: Keep Calling Until You Get Them On The Phone, And Never Leave A Message
Leaving a voice mail can turn someone off if you are trying to sell a product. In order to ensure that your passon for the product you must make sure they hear it directly from you first hand. I know that i would not return a call if someone left their number on my machine and didnt tell me the exact reason they are calling.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Must Be Great Speakers
While I agree that being a great speaker is a huge plus for leaders, it isn't a must. There are many leaders who can not speak well or deliver their words efficiently. This article should emphasize instead that efficient leaders must be great speakers. This would be easier for me to agree with one hundred percent.
