Instant MBA: The Key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone
Just because you aren't the smartest person or the most athletic person, doesn't mean you can't be successful. You can have all the talent in the world, but if you don't put that talent to work, you won't get very far. If you are willing to put in the extra work and go the extra mile, it will overshadow any weakness you might have. Especially in the eyes of your employer. If your boss sees that your always the one their early and staying late and putting the work in, then that will go a long way with your future at that job and if you ever need a recommendation. As long as you have the passion and the will to do your job to the best of your ability and put in that extra work, you don't have to be the smartest or most athletic.

Instant MBA: The Key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone
I think it is true that hard work is infectious. It all depends on how much you are willing to put in for the job you are working with. It also has to do with where you are working at as well. A person may like the place they are working at and put in their all and it will spread throughout the other workers. However, if you have a poor structure of management, the level of influence towards working hard is extinguished.

Instant MBA: The Key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone
After reading this article I can relate in more ways than I would have thought. I actually feel good when I work hard and I feel that I do in fact get luckier the more I work. But it isn't all about luck. I feel like working hard is infectious more so. If you think about it, say you have a coworker that works just a little bit harder to make your job easier. Wouldn't you be happy and probably end up working a little harder as well. You gain not only the respect of your coworkers but of also your supervisors. This can not only lead to a raise but to more job opportunities down the road. Those opportunities could even land you your long thought unreachable "dream job". So work hard and you really have nothing to lose.

Instant MBA: The Key to Success is "Out-Hustling" Everyone
This seems like a complete no brainer to me. One of the most repeated sayings and dug-in mantras in any world, not just business, is "hard work is key." Any employee would be a hundred percent better with a little hard work. Like the article says, anyone can be taught to do the work, but perseverance and hard work ethic are unteachable. Plus, the best success is the earned success that one worked the hardest for.

Instant MBA: The Key To Success
I agree with this article about hard work, but being the first one there and the last to leave is not always what it takes. I worked for Pilot Travel Center in Hammond for almost twelve years as the Operations Administrator. I did not have to be the first one to work every morning, but I was usually the last leaving from my shift because of the responsibilities I had. I was a hard worker going above my call of duty most of the time. People sometimes think their hard work and efforts are not worth the trouble because they will go unnoticed. I know first hand that this is not true. Just because someone doesn't pour compliments out on you at the time, believe me in the working world hard workers stand out and are noticed by the higher ups. When we had store openings to do, I got called to help with the office setups and some marketing projects because corporate people noticed my hard work and dedication to the company. Even the owner would ask where I was and come thank me personally on opening day. So making the extra effort to do your job well reaps many benefits. Your noticed and relied upon for getting the job done. This can also set you apart for moving up in the company more quickly.

Instant MBA: More Proof That The Best Leaders Are Great Listeners
I agree with Maureen Chiquet, Global CEO of Chanel, that to be a great leader you need to have a strong point of view and lead effectively. But more important, one needs to be a great listener. Talk to all parties involved, including employees, colleagues, and friends, they can give you insight to areas that you may not have experience in or give you ideas that can benefit your company. Listening is a quality that will set apart the good leaders from the great ones.

Instant MBA: The key to success it “Out-hustling” everyone
I couldn’t agree more with this article, the key to success is to invest time. While many may look at waking up every morning just to be the first one to work as an idiotic thing to do, they are failing to see the real picture that is being portrayed. Investing time indicates reliability, dedication, willingness to learn, and consistency, which all point to having a strong work ethic. Sure, you may not be the smartest, and yes maybe you do catch on to things a little slower than others, but previous actions have proved that you are willing to come to work extra early and leave extra late to pick up what you lack. Superiors and managers alike admire this particular quality, not only because it defines dedication, but because it proves that you are passionate about the job and that you possess potential growth for greater success.

This article talks about being dedicated and working hard. I think that this is so crucial in being the best employee that you can be. I know that I always volunteer to work extra hours if needed at work and also volunteer to learn how to work new pieces of equipment, etc. I feel that this helps me become a better employee. In order to better yourself as an employee you should put forth effort and dedication to your career. This allows you to be the best employee that you can be as well as allows you to have more chance to advance.

Instant MBA: The key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone
This article basically pertains to me. I work for a gas station called Murphy USA and have been working there for the pass seven years. In the pass years I have advanced in position because of my determination and effort. I never get to comfortable in my position where I am not willing to learn more or perfect my work. And because I am so persistant in my work I get rewarded for it and also so promoted. The thing that I tell my employer is that I will run this place like it was my own investment. I may not be the smartest but I am the best worker and they believe in me and that is why they pay for my school. Hard work does pay off.

Instant MBA: The Key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone
I believe this has a lot of truth to it. If a worker feels like they are inferior compared to the rest of their work group, I think the worker can push through these issues by investing more time. By putting extra effort into a field, the worker can push to levels. Upper management will typically notice that someone is striving to be knowledgeable and persistent. Being noticed by superiors is the first step to advancement in a given field. Mayor Bloomberg speaks a lot of truth from experience in this article.

Instant MBA: The Key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone
The quote at the article summed it up the best "You can’t control your luck, but the harder you work, the luckier you get.” Most of us are average. Average intelligence, average athleticism, and average looking. Most of us have had some setbacks in our life that can serve as a disadvantage. In short, we’re pretty much on the same playing field as millions and millions of people. And yet despite our average minds and builds most of us believe deep down that we are destined for something extraordinary, that we’re special. But most men really aren't. But not because they’re average. Because they won’t hustle to get what they want.

Instant MBA: The Key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone
I like this article. I think that being a hard dedicated worker is extremely important. There will always be people in the world who are smarter than you and better than you at things, but if you are a hard dedicated worker then you have the power to be a hardest worker of anyone. You can always learn and become smarter in the areas you are struggling with, but being a great worker is something you have complete control over.

What I took from this article is working hard pays off. I have to agree to some extent as it really depends on the employer and the manager you work for in my opinion. At my previous job I worked close to 60 hours a week leading a team, doing a 3 person job, and being on multiples teams for projects for well over a year. All it got me was burnt out. I will say I could definitely see it paying off under the great management though!

INSTANT MBA: "The Key to Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone” The most important thing to take form this article is that hard work leads to opportunities. The truly successful aren’t just lucky; they are the ones who took control of their future by being present at the job. Moreover, success doesn’t necessarily go hand in hand with a genius mindset; it’s all about hard work. Like Mr. Bloomberg said, “The beauty of ‘out-hustling’ is that it often compensates for personal weakness.” Finally, hard work is powerful because it is infectious. It takes at least one employee with this impeccable work ethic to motivate and revamp the whole office.
