Instant MBA: The Key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone
It doesn't matter how smart you are or what your last name is; a hard worker is invaluable in today's job market and I firmly believe that hard work allows you to move up in a company more than how smart you are. I've always been recognized for my hard work ethic and it's allowed me to receive higher positions with some of the company's I've worked for and it has given me great experience that I can use in my career after college. I'm confident that my hard work will bring me to places in my career that I never knew I could go to.

Instant MBA: The Key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone
Being committed with our work can ensure our success at any task or challenge we might have at our job. This article explains that workers can stand out by simply investing more time to learn about the job than other employees. I have always believed that we have to try to deliver results that are beyond expectations by giving more than it is required to complete a job. In other words, we can provide that little extra something through hard work and dedication that will put us ahead of other employees, and therefore, we will find opportunities to grow up personally and professionally within a company.

Instant MBA: The Key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone I believe that it is true that a hard working individual can definitely outshine a smart person. I recently learned that an employer looking at resumes would choose to interview a student with a 2.7 GPA that also participated in student organizations, volunteer work, and internships over a 4.0 student who basically didn't care to get involve in any extracurricular activities, internships, etc. If you show that you are a hardworking and dedicated individual you could definitely out-hustle a smart person. I personally believe hard work and dedication is the key to success. You can easily move up in a company by showing that you are always there to complete a task when needed and that you are quick to complete a task without being ask to do so. Just because you aren't the smartest person in the room doesn't make you the dumbest. You are smart enough to know that brains isn't everything and that you have to work to get where you want to be in life. I myself is not a genius but I am a hardworking and dedicated individual and I do believe that is the reason why I have made it this far in my career.

I could not agree with this article more! One key thing that I have learned in my journey of working is that you cannot teach someone good work ethic, you cannot teach them how to go above and beyond, or how to outwork everyone else. However, someone who already is extremely hard working and dedicated the time and effort (even if they aren't the smartest person) can be taught how to do paperwork, and processes that come along with the job. I have been promoted twice in the past 9 months, and I think that it has a lot to do with my work ethic and how much I put forth in my job! Being the smartest or having the highest GPA is not what matters to me as an employer, I am more interested in a persons work ethic, and the effort put forth than how smart a potential employee is.

I believe that in today’s competitive business world, hard work still stands out above all other qualifications. When my company, Raising Canes, was looking to internally promote a manager, I was chosen for the position. When I asked my boss why he chose me to fill the position when there were several older, more experienced crew members, who had been working there longer than I had, he told me that it was because of my work ethic. He said that even though I may not know as much about the company as others or had not been there as long as them, that I was always willing to stay late and come early. He said that I seemed to care about the success of the store more than any other crewmembers did, and that these qualities were what made me stand out. These comments from my boss made it evident to me that hard work is important above all else.

Hard work can bring you a long way. The longer and harder you work, the more dependable and trustworthy you become. This should also lead to a larger and more rewarding paycheck. I believe hard work and dedication towards any job can move you forward in life and send you to places you never though imaginable. Working through tough situations will make you shine bright to employers and even competitors, making you a wanted person by all. And being wanted is what human beings want most? So why not throw yourself out there and work your hardest? You have nothing to lose.

Hard work is definitely the key to success. In any situation, the person who works the hardest will always come out on top. Good work ethic is hard to come by these days, and if that is a quality you possess, you will go far in life. I don't necessarily agree with the part of the article that says to be the first one to work, and the last one to leave, because I think that feeling overworked can sometimes hinder one's work ethic. Other than that, I do agree with the article, and truly believe that hard work leads to success.

Another great article. The "outwork your competition" has served me very well in multiple positions. I work harder than all of my competitors in the CHP business, and that grants me access to referrals and a reputation for service unmatched in my industry. There is always someone better than you, smarter than you, more skilled or more talented, but there should never be anyone willing to work harder or longer than you are. That is one of the founding values of our American society.

Instant MBA: The Key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone I like this article and 100% agree with what it is saying. I think an employee that is willing to put in hard work and eager to take on challenges is more of an asset to the company than an employee who had perfect scores and can out smart other employees. Job skills and tasks can be trained to anyone willing to learn it, but good work ethic is something that isn’t trainable. It is something that comes from within that person.

Instant MBA: The Key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone
Being willing to work hard and put in the extra effort can be very rewarding. In a previous role, I supervised a shift of twenty individuals in a chemical plant and I would choose an employee that was willing to put in the extra effort during the hiring process. This would give me an employee that I knew I could help grow and learn the information needed. When I had a less motivated employee, it was more difficult to identify ways to support these employees. Not only did they have some short comings in their understanding, but they also lacked the motivation needed to learn new tasks. With the motivated employee we could work together and easily identify their needs and put systems in place to support their efforts.

Instant MBA: The Key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone
I have a couple of issues with this article as not everyone can be fortunate enough to be the first one in and last one out. In my younger years Yes, as I do believe in the work hard, play hard motto, but then life happens. Priorities change especially when children are involved, someone needs to pick the kids up and not everyone has the luxury of staying late every night. Dedication and diligence come in many forms other than staying late. There is also the factor of why a particular person is staying late? Are they chatting too much during the day? Are they taking to many smoke breaks? Why is everyone else finishing their job on time? Put forth your best, ask questions, meet your deadlines, double check your work if possible to cut down on errors, and make people want to work with you instead of against you. I do agree that you don't have to be the smartest person to get ahead. I good boss will always recognize a worker with good ethics.

Alt link 3: Instant MBA: More Proof That The Best Leaders Are Great Listeners
Listening can be great, and you can pick up a lot of insightful information, but listening is only one aspect of the communication process. Not only to you have to listen, but you also have to weed out any noise from the message being sent and relay feedback to the sender of what you just heard. Isn't the communication process great?

Instant MBA: The Key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone
I absolutely agree with this article. Having owned a business, I remember my employees who came in early and who were willing to stay late more so than the people who were “smarter”. Also, in my career I have always been the guy who gets to the office first and it seems that this has benefited me in more ways than one. Great article.

Instant MBA: The Key To Success Is 'Out-Hustling' Everyone
I love the quote that is at the end of this article, "You can’t control your luck, but the harder you work, the luckier you get.” I find this to be very true about myself. I have never been the absolute "smartest" individual amongst my colleagues; however my ability to read a situation and apply a 100% work ethic towards a certain goal has brought me very far. Just as the article states, if you are willing to commit the time and effort to doing your job the right way and "out-hustling" the competition then you will go much further. Some people call it being "street smart" as opposed to "book smart", I just believe its allowing your personal commitment and ambition to take over which can really make a difference.
