INSTANT MBA: Don't Let A Micromanager Terrorize Your Workplace
A micromanager isnt always the best way to manager your people. Confrontation should be taken at all takes while micromanaging, they shouldnt downgrade there employees or make fun of there job. People dont like to work under micromangement, I dont feel that it is required in the workforce. Employees need a manager that is there for them and show them the ropes for the job.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Let a Micromanager Terrorize Your Workplace
Sometimes micromanagers don't realize what they do to an employee while trying to impress them. Sometimes micromanagers treat employees like they know more than the rest which in fact causes employees to feel under a lot of tension. Tension could cause the employees to not work to the best of their ability. When working all the time and scared to make a mistake could actually cause you to make more mistakes than you prevent. I learned this a while back while competing in dance. I learned that under pressure I made more mistakes than I did when I went out and just had fun.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Let A Micromanager Terrorize Your Workplace
Micromanagers can be incredibly frustrating in an organization. By giving employees freedom and flexibility you will effectively encourage them to work harder and respect you. An attention to detail and focus is necessary but often times micromanagers demand too much and employees effectively shut down to this negative pressure. Some employees may require more checks and maintenance than others but still should be able to do their job on their own. If they need to be completely micromanaged, what is the point of the employee?

This link talks about how micromanaging can make people feel bad. When people micromanage they come across as putting a person down. This makes the employee feel bad about himself which will ultimately make him less productive. Micromanaging is not the correct way to manage a business.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Let A Micromanager Terrorize Your Workplace I agree with Simon North when he says that "Often micromanagers are oblivious to the effect they are having on other people. They actually think all their micromanaging is producing a better work product.” Micromanagers might have a good reason for their behavior, their actions are unproductive and demoralizing.

A micromanager can be helpful and hurtful to a business. They are helpful in a way that they can oversee a project and know whats happening. They are more hurtful than helpful to your business. They tend to be more hurtful because they can certainly abuse their power. When they are working on a project they have an idea of how it is supposed to go. If the project does not go as planned they tend to get upset and lash out at someone who may not deserve it. When this happens your employees will no longer want to work with this person causing certain projects not being met and taken care of in the correct amount of time.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Let A Micro-manager Terrorize Your Workplace
The most demotivating issue that arises in the workplace is overcautious repetition. A manager's role is conceptualize ideas from their managers and set the idea in motion. If the group is in understanding of the concept then there is no need for constant repetition from non-managers. This article discusses these individuals who tend be the voice of repetition and often cause harm to the productivity of others. I agree with the concept that these employees should be talked to and reasoned with, I also believe if these employees cannot comply then they should be moved.

I totally agree with this article. You cannot let micromanagers mess up your work place. Everybody must play their role to keep things running smoothly. When people think they have more power than what they really have it causes conflict and confusion in the work place. This is not needed to have a successful work place so it should be controlled.

One of the most aggravating things to deal with at work is a manager constantly looking over your shoulder. I absolutely hate it when they are hovering around you and not allowing you to feel comfortable while doing your job. I feel like when managers start doing this, the employee worries more about dodging the manager rather than focussing on the job. I found myself doing this while still trying to do my job. Managers need to figure out a better way to communicate and observe their employees so they can improve on what they are doing. If a manager is feeling pressure about something that is happening in the business don't take it out on the workers, that will only provide more pressure and consequences if goals are not met. Scrap micromanaging and talk to me like a normal person, schedule check-ups and speak to me, don't sit on my shoulders throughout every day or every week and point out every little thing I can do differently.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Let A Micromanager Terrorize Your Workplace
Micromanaging causes employees to feel not trusted and they may become overwhelmed with the expectations brought on by their micromanagers. Micromanagers try to stay on top of everything by constantly worrying their employees about what needs to be done. If employees are feeling overwhelmed, they should discuss with their managers how micromanaging makes them feel.

38 INSTANT MBA: Don't Let A Micromanager Terrorize Your Workplace
This article talks about micromanagers and not let letting them terrorize the workplace. I agree a good manager shouldn’t have to micromanage. If they try to control every little thing in the business they may miss out on the big picture of managing. No one likes a micromanager.
