For your company to succeed you have to keep up with the competition. You have to build your product but you also have to build systems that will help internally in the company. Some of these things can include departments and ways to produce the product more efficiently.

INSTANT MBA: Always Have A Back Up Plan
I agree with the person in this article. I happen to think that having a backup plan in everyday life isn't a bad idea. If I was running a company with many people, I would make sure I had a plan b, plan c, and plan d probably. You should always have your eyes open and plan accurately for the future. My dad always told me when I first started driving that I didn't have to only worry about what I was doing, but what the other driver's were doing too. To always be on the lookout and prepared if something didn't go the way I expected it to. I think that the same concept applies here.

I agree with this completely. Customers can see into the firm they are buying from through their contacts with employees. Company culture is a critical element to continued competitive advantage. If the customer sees a static (or worse, a conflict) culture, they have no reason to identify themselves with the brand, and the company will lose its brand loyalty.

INSTANT MBA: You Keep Up With The Competition By Building Internally
The idea behind this article seems to be very valuable and have a lot of truth to it. I can see how a growing company can quickly shift in another direction in response to outside forces. With this in mind, I think that organizational culture must be prevalent and exist at all levels in order to keep consistent with the vision that you have for the company.

Very good article and I really agree with quote. "The people you hire and the culture you build internally is going to be reflected in your brand and who you become externally." This is so true on how your business is reflected by consumers. It all starts at the top and the people you choose to represent you company.

Businesses are always in competition. So to keep your competitive side you must have a team that is always willing to work hard and build off success. Having that will keep you ahead of competitive competition because it's all about who wants to be on top.

I agree that the best way to differentiate yourself from the competition is to focus on having an identity as a company. When you stand out and have a strong culture, then people are more likely to take notice. Nobody wants to be a generic brand that is like a million others.

Making sure that your employees respect you and your brand is a important part of having your business and keeping up with the competition. Working form the inside out will help to insure that you have your pulse on your employees and they cultural environment once that is under control all you will need to to is maintain it and try as hard as possible to keep your employees in the loop of what is going on.

I agree with this article. You must have good strong workers to keep the business strong. You can have a good business with a good product, but it will be a competitive great business if you have those kinds of people working to make it grow.

Instant MBA:You Keep Up With Competition by BUILDING Internally
I think it is important to work on your company internally because you can get it ready for the public. Apart of that is the cultural you started off with. Those things are very important when starting a company. How a person goes about this is very important. They must have good ideas and those ideas have to not be forgotten because they are the reasons that your company is at its high peak now.

I really like the topic of this link because it's something that I definitely agree is important to a successful business. One of the places I have worked in the past was very insistant on building a culture within the company. I feel that instilling a culture gives everyone a better sense of beloning. This in turn increases work productivity, work ethic, and overall output of the business. When there is a strong sense of culture amongst employees it is easier for everyone to exceed at their jobs and benefit the business in a way that is noticeable to outsiders.

This is another very good article. I think culture is underestimated and that more companies should ackowledge culture as a big part of an organization. I have to agree that culture starts from the inside and then is reflect externally. I can use this info about culture in my future, whether I work for myself or have my own company.

Culture is important for a company. I agree with Busque in the fact that the employees and culture of your company reflect on your company's reputation. Having employees who conduct themselves professionally will build a positive culture within your company, and it will reflect externally. Hopefully customers will see your company as a strong, professional company. In some industries the strong culture and reputation may be the only way to obtain a competitive advantage over other companies in your industry. Positive employees and a strong culture may be a company's only way to attract customers and stay in business.

Instant MBA: You Keep Up With The Competition By Building Internally Culture is everything that a company is based on. Having a high standard culture is important especially with a new company. Setting yourself apart from another company is important because you don’t want to be just like them. Having core values and beliefs in a company will help that company go along way. Start from the inside and work your way out when starting a new company of even an existing one.
