Instant MBA: You Keep Up With the Competition by Building Internally This article makes perfect sense, building a strong internal culture will reflect on how the business is viewed externally. I think that all businesses should take notes from this article because it consists of strong pointers that will help make a business successful. I agree, the culture of a business is everything to that business, and if it isn’t presented internally, then externally there will be no boundaries or respect. The success of a business starts from within (internally), and from there it will work its way out the outside (externally). My opinion, fostering a business culture is the best way to stay competitive and remain successful.

INSTANT MBA: You Keep Up With The Competition By Building Internally
Organizational culture is definitely an important element of every company. For instance, one of the main reasons for why a firm like Apple became a very successful company from one day to another is because his previous CEO re-designed the culture of the company, and we can still see how after former Apple's CEO Steve Jobs passed away the company culture remains strong. Apple is a leader in innovation and technology. A company's culture establishes the way a firm is directed, and employees feel identified with a specific brand. At the same time, this culture helps employees feel part of something bigger, so they are motivated to contribute to the company's success.

Instant MBA: You Keep Up With the Competition by Building Internally
I really enjoyed this article. I have always felt it was important to build an organization internally, but I had never thought about it from this same view point. When you have the correct individuals within your organization and you have the culture that you want to grow, it is very important to grow internally and keep those individuals. If you fail to grow internally, you will see those within your own organization leaving and going to others and this can make it difficult to maintain the culture that you have established.

It is very important to have a strong culture within your organization. If your company is strong internally it will definitely show externally. As a leader it is your responsibility to make sure that the people you hire fit in the culture you are building. I believe that when you have a strong company culture with employees that embrace this culture and work towards making it stronger it is definitely going to be reflected in your brand and how people view your company externally. Making sure that you have a strong company culture is definitely a great way to stay competitive. This article was a great read.

I agree with the article in that you really have to build and nurture the culture in your business. It is a lot better to build a positive culture, than only an aggressive one. I think that the company I work for has many good traits about it's culture. I think that it is better when a company offers more rewards to their employees.

One of Raising Cane's main focuses and a part of its vision statement is its culture. Our company prides itself on having a "cool" culture and firmly believes that this culture sets them apart from other quick service restaurants. Part of Raising Cane's culture is to have comfortable uniforms, loud upbeat music, and to always have fun while working hard. I believe that this culture really does engage the crew and produce more efficient, happier workers. This culture also filters down to our customers who frequently comment on how different we are than other fast food restaurants. The see that our crew is overall friendlier, more relaxed, and having a better time than most workers in this type of industry.

It is important to stay in the game by evolving with society but, I do agree with this article when it speaks about staying with your culture. One place I will use for example is a place called LeBlancs it is a grocery store in hammond and the thing that makes it different from other grocerie stores is that you can find the local stuff in there that you cant find in places like Wal Mart or Winn Dixie. I love to shop at store like that because some local products are better than these national products. They are located right across the street from Wal Mart and they are still in business. Sometimes distinctabilitly stands out more that convienice. You should build your brand according to your culture.

INSTANT MBA: You Keep Up With The Competition By Building Internally
I've always heard that it's important to understand the culture of an organization and that it's something companies should stay true to no matter what happens. I agree that you must build around what you already have and stay true to who you are in order to sustain success. It's also important to be true to your surrounding areas; offer products that the people in that area know about and if you're able to expand your business then do the same thing at the next area.

INSTANT MBA: Always Have A Back Up Plan
Leaders that do not have back up plans, will not be in business for long. Life doesn't not always go as planned, so you need to have a back up plan or two to lean on when your plan doesn't work. Being prepared is the best way to deal with unplanned obstacles. Just because plan A doesn't go right, doesn't mean plan B or C are second best. This give you the opportunity as a leader to adapt to the surroundings and move ahead. Preparation for all challenges will make you shine as a good leader with staff. So if things don't go as planned, your ready to push ahead with your other options.

INSTANT MBA: You Keep Up With The Competition By Building Internally
The culture of a corporation whether good or bad will be projected to its consumers. Just like when someone is in a great mood or in a bad mood, he/she normally doesn't have to tell you that they are you can just feel it. Having the work culture you want makes all the staff be on the same page and keeps them connected. It also helps managers identify what type of personalities will fit best with their culture because one person who doesn't gel well with the staff and culture can ruin it entirely.

INSTANT MBA: You Keep Up With The Competition By Building Internally
Short but sweet article. If you can create a successful business, it can quickly become hard to handle if it grows too quickly. While everyone would absolutely want the success, some don’t prepare for that success until it’s too late and then start drowning. When starting up, I think that one must be prepared for both the good and the bad. Also, if your business does grow rapidly, never forget how you got there in the first place

INSTANT MBA: You Keep Up With The Competition By Building Internally
I strongly agree with the statement, “The people you hire and the culture you build internally is going to be reflected in your brand and who you become externally” because it accurately outlines how I believe a business should succeed; from the inside out. A well put together team of enthusiastic employees with a strong company culture will get a job done with a sense of team-wide pride. This enables the team to pull together and really strive for the best result they can because they know the result is what their product looks like to others as well as their image as a company.

INSTANT MBA: You Keep Up With The Competition By Building Internally
Very good article. Having a good product is good but not everything for a company. Everyone wants to be liked and accepted by their peers, or in this case customers. The way you carry yourself and the way you carry your business goes along way with the people who will potentially buy your product. If you have a good strong culture and hire the right people, your chance of success is higher than if it is the opposite.
