When presenting a product you want people to try it out. Having presentations and statistics is great, but that is not what the audience wants. The audience wants to know what the product offers and how it will be beneficial to them.

INSTANT MBA: Be Confident And You'll Succeed
I agree with this article. I think confidence helps in succeeding tremendously. You have to be confident and happy in what you're doing. Being too confident can cause problems because at that point people usually think that they are too good to listen to information offered by others. I think just the right amount of confidence can go a long way in succeeding.

being passionate about your product is important. There have been many times Ive passed on a new technology for my courses because the guy trying to sell them to me appeared like he just wanted to make a buck, not fill a need I currently possess. having a good presentation is great, but only if it is delivered with an authentic motivation toward using the product the buyer wants (or you want them to want).

Instant MBA: Your Ideas Need to Be More Than Statistics and Well-Planned Presentations
I like the approach this article takes on presentations. I think it is necessary to involve the audience in ideas for them to fully accept it. I also think it is highly important to build a presentation around an idea that you fully believe because there is no point in investing time in an idea that is based on a whim. For an audience to accept an idea, the speaker must be fully enveloped in the idea.

INSTANT MBA: Your Idea Needs To Be More Than Statistics And Well-Planned Presentations
I think knowing your audience is a very important aspect in giving presentations. Before you give it, present it to your team and ask for suggestions on how to improve. Just don't go with statistics and well rehearsed presentation because it will bore your audience to tears more times than not.

Citi Ventures is right, you must believe in the idea that is going to create your business because if you don't who will? You must have passion for what you do so even if you know something from left to right showing your passion for your job shows that you really care for what's going on.

I agree with the author of this article. You have to have some passion about what you are doing. If you aren't enthusiastic about it, then no one else will be either.

Pitching and selling something is monumentally easier if it’s something you believe in. Also I can’t stand selling some product that’s really worthless and doesn’t really help the client other than making their wallet lighter. If you have good product than it will sell itself and they will come back to buy it a second time. If all you can do is sell it once and then they realize it was worthless in the first place in the long run your business is going to fail.

I agree that when taking an idea to a team you need to be well prepared for any questions they might have. It is good to brainstorm with the team to see if they have new ideas that you may not have thought of. If you are prepared you can cut out the bad ideas and keep the good ones to add your plan.

INSTANT MBA: Your Idea Needs To Be More Than Statistics And Well-Planned Presentations
You must show passion towards your idea to convince others that it will work. If you aren't sure of yourself then others will have the same doubt in your ideas. When you come off as passionate, positive, and outgoing about your idea people will relate.

INSTANT MBA: Your Idea Needs To Be More Than Statistics And Well-Planned Presentations
I cannot even begin to explain how important believing in yourself means to both you and your company. You can come up with the most fasinating idea the company has ever seen, but if you do not believe in yourself and speak up for what you believe in, you will not be successful. To achieve being comfortable enough to confront others and portray your image, you must be well prepared. Know what your idea is and the objectives behind it. Where do you want this idea to go? What do you think it can become? How can you get there? If you have a "fully baked idea" and tell your co-workers, there is a good chance that they will like it. Of course, it might need some tweaking, but at least its an idea.

Instant MBA: Your Idea Needs to be More Than Satistic And Well-Performed Presentations
This link talks about going into a new idea enthusiastically and with confidence. It also states not to forget about why the idea was important to you in the first place. This is very important so when times look hard and your idea seem like its at its dark tunnel, you can just have that tthought to give you the boost you need.

I think it is easy to come up with a passable idea and present it to your peers or employees. However, if you do not have an investment in the ideas that you present it will most likely be harder to get everyone on board. It is essential to be passionate about what it is you are trying to accomplish, because if you do not show that passion it's likely that your employees or peers will likewise be not interested in the idea. Business people do not like doing things "just because," they like for there to be a passionate reason with a well thought out conclusion.

INSTANT MBA: Your Idea Needs To Be More Than Statistics And Well-Planned Presentations
Passion is the backbone behind any idea or business venture. The most successful people, whether that be business or not, did not present their idea with a lackadaisical attitude. They were probably very passionate and had a fairly direct vision of the future and that they knew it would be successful. Others will feed off your energy and put that same energy into their work.

INSTANT MBA: Your Idea Needs To Be More Than Statistics And Well-Planned Presentations
I think this article is good. Its talks about how having faith in your idea will show others that you believe in the idea and how it will suceed. Allowing a team to help build your idea is a great team building tool and will probally lead to great success in your idea. I would agree with this article about having more passion in the idea rather than stats will get you further with your idea.
