First impressions are important in any kind of situation, business or personal. They are important because you can never get that first initial thought back. It can be challenging to always be and act the way you want others to see you, however, being professional at all times is something that is important in the business world.

Brand You: First Impressions
I think that first impressions are very important especially when giving an interview. Some interviewers know whether or not they want to hire you as soon as you step into their office. This is why you must always give good first impressions.

This video discusses the importance of first impressions. Practicing making the first impression to be quick, to show enthusiasm and generate a positive appeal. This video discusses that the first 7 seconds of meeting someone is the first impression phase. The first impression is usually the most important thing to people. So, it is always good to make your first impression your best impression. I know that it is not good to judge people, but we do it everyday of our lives. Facial expressions and a person;s appearance is usually the first thing people judge you by. So, make sure that when a book is judged by its cover, it looks damn good to the viewer.

First impressions are very important. Like the video mentions, people tend to develop an impression towards you just in the first seven seconds of your meeting. Especially, in business, it is very important to make a good first impression. Simple things like your facial expression, way you dress, and your overall energy level can help make your impression better.

I agree with the man in the video because you first impressions is key to getting someone attention. First Impressions can go longs ways, for example, being hired, liking someone, and meeting new people. First Impressions can be good and bad. If you give someone a bad first impression that person may not like you or become may not want to hire you. So making a First Impression is key to any aspect of life.

The speaker explains that one has seven seconds for someone to read ones impressions. He also says that it can either be a good or bad impression and this is true in business and the real world. One can look the part but sometimes can not always play the part and that is the difference I think between seven seconds and after that point. One can learn for this that your first impression does have a big impact on how others view you.

This was an interesting video. I'm not sure if I agree that you only get 7 seconds to make a first impression though. First impressions are extremely important. The first time someone meets you means everything. I definitely agree that it can make or break a relationship, whether it is business or personal.

First impressions are so important. The video talks about people making up their minds about someone in the first seven seconds of meeting someone. I feel like this is really hard and can seem unfair however if I think about it, it really is true. This is why it is o important to know how you appear to others. It is always important to dress professionally and look clean and put together. Also, we are taught to smile and look others in the eyes when we shake their hand and introduce ourselves. I feel that the best way to know how you appear is to practice. You can either practice in front of a mirror or friends and family.

First impressions are formed within the first 7 seconds. I believe this is true because as he mentions it shows how much energy we have and what we offer. In an interview i had, i know i got the job because of my resume and portfolio, but i also know it was because of my handshake and my smile i gave within the fist encounter. I think confidence should be a big factor in the first seconds. There is a reason why there is a saying about how first impressions are the ones that count.

This video is a reflection of the sayin, " First impressions last a lifetime." People remember their first encounter with you. I don't think quantitatively you can actually figure out a person in just a few seconds unless they annoy the heck out of u or is rude. I've meet people who come off as really nonchalant but, once I got to know them on a more in-depth level my perception changed a great deal. Some people are just nervous when they meet new people.

They are especially critical in a job interview. You want to make sure you go in the room with the most positive attitude possible. You need to be enthusiastic and energetic. They will feel those positive vibes and it will rub off on the person giving the interview. Be mindful of your facial expressions too. We sometimes don't realize what face we are making, so make sure to be conscious of it and that it's a pleasant look on your face.

Brand You: First Impressions
It is true; first impressions are what will make or break the start of a personal or business relationship. According to Roger Ales, we have seven seconds to make a first impression. Knowing this, one should always be on their toes. They should realize that what they project in their personality and attitude in the first seven seconds of meeting someone is how they are perceived. To make sure one is giving on the best first impression, one should be ready to project the best of themselves in those first seven seconds.
