First impressions are very important in almost any situation. Whether someone believes it can mean everything or not, they must acknowledge that the first impression has a lot of power to shape things. The first seven seconds is said to be the most important part of the first impression. Personally, I am not sure if I would say the first impression is quantifiable that easily. I do however recognize the first impression is something everyone should focus on.

Brand You: First Impressions
I am not sure about this video. I know first impressions are very important. However, the emphasis on seven seconds is somewhat strong. I could not help but laugh when stated, “life or death.” Really? I think there are times in which more than a few seconds must be spent with a person in order to gain a clear impression of them. I feel a few minutes would be appropriate but not sold on seven seconds.

The power of first impression is very important especially in business interviews. I have heard about the 7 seconds rule, i think many people use. But, to me I think seven second is too short and you may probably get a wrong impression, unless they expect everyone to be extrovert, think you should give someone time . 3-5 minutes you can get an clear impression of someone rather than in 7 second.

TITLE - Brand You: First Impressions I agree with being able to leave a good first impression becuase you never know what kind of opprotunity they maybe out their waiting for you. In today's business most of the time it not what you know it about how you look and what kind of vibe you send off to people for when meeting new people away leave with a good impression of you.

Brand You: First Impressions
In business today, first impressions are very important. However, I am not sure that the stress he puts on seven seconds is very accurate. In some situations the seven seconds may be true when it's an informal meeting between a few people and you may not speak to those people again. However, if it's a formal meeting and the people will meet multiple times to work out a deal, then that judgment of one another may not need to be so crucial in seven seconds. I must agree with him though, first impressions are important, so you should be conscious of your facial expressions and body language when meeting people for the first time.

First impressions are vital to a relationship with someone you meet. Many times relationships will not take form unless that first impression is positive. You have seven seconds to relate your personality and the most important thing you can give off is your energy. The easiest way for people to notice your energy is your facial expressions. Some people are naturally not as energetic as others, and that's okay because this is a skill that can be trained, you don't have to be born with a "first impressions" gene.

First impressions are important. They give off what type of energy you have, and what type of person you are. For example, if i'm at work and I greet customers with a smile and ask them how they are doing, I receive tips all day. But if I greet customers with a "I don't want to be here" tone, I don't receive tips. Impressions is everything.

Seven seconds is the time we have to project a first impression. I wonder how they came up with seven not six or eight. For the most part I believe that we perceive our first impression of someone within a short period of time. First impressions tend to last and just as a brand of a company is hard to change first impressions are hard to change. Amping up our energy is a good way to connect with someone. People like to connect with people that have energy not boring mono tone, seeming like they don't care too much.

While I don't think that the seven second rule is applicable in every situation, it is a useful rule of thumb when it comes to meeting new people. In business settings, it is important to go into meetings with new people with a positive attitude and a smile on your face. Putting off a positive vibe will make people feel more at ease in the situation and more willing to listen to you. First impressions stick, and it is better to keep up a positive experience than try to recover from a negative first impression.

First impressions are very important in business. They are especially critical in a job interview. You want to make sure you go in the room with the most positive attitude possible. You need to be enthusiastic and energetic. They will feel those positive vibes and it will rub off on the person giving the interview. Be mindful of your facial expressions too. We sometimes don't realize what face we are making, so make sure to be conscious of it and that it's a pleasant look on your face. Amping up your attitude and being engaged will help make your first impression a great one they will surely not forget.

The video stresses that the first seven seconds that you meet somebody may be the most important. These first seven seconds will reveal the energy or the level at which you care to even engage in the conversation period. I cannot help but think that this priciple is at its upmost importance when being on a job interview. The energy you convey in those first seven seconds may be the difference between you getting or not getting the job.

First Impressions are important but I dont think people should base there true meaning of a person off of first impressions. I always get mad when people say that first impressions are important but why is it that we judge people off of just 7 seconds. Logically that dont make any sense to judge someone in just 7 seconds. I'm no the type of person to judge someone off of first impressions. I'll take time to get to know someone over time rather than first impressions, sometimes people have sloppy first impressions.

That initial or first impression you get from people sticks for a long time. The video says you have seven seconds to make a first impression. This impression lasts for quite some time so I would hope that when I go to meet someone for the first time they get the right impression of who I am. This is essential not only through your personal life, but in business as well when you are in interviews or representing a company.

TITLE - Brand You: First Impressions First impressions are always the most important to people because no matter what people will always predetermine who people are just by the first impression they have on them. Make sure whenever your meeting someone for the first time that you make a good first impression. Let people get to know who you are not what they think you are. Be aware of the little things like facial expressions and the way someone dresses, they make all the difference in someones personality.
