The Wine Cellars: Embrace your local community
Whether you are a small or large business, you should always try to embrace your local community. It is important to interact with the community as a whole. It is a way to show the community you care and are willing to give back. At work, we take part in tons of activities in the community. They believe that when you take care of your people, they take care of you. It is also great advertisement. Everyone loves the company that is willing to give back and get involved.

The Wine Cellars: Embrace your local community
Being part of your community is important. By being close with the community you can touch them in a personal level and let them know they matter there. Making changes like the wine tasting, it will make your community show that you care. That same way that your community that care, they will reciprocate it back. They are the ones that will support you at the end. So I think as a small business owner you need to keep in touch with your neighbors and your surroundings. They are the ones that will come shopping at your store.

TITLE - The Wine Cellars: Embrace your local community
I relate to this video because I own a small business in a small community. My dance studio is just about the only extra-curricular hobby you can do outside of school athletic activities. In turn I work around all my dancers to allow them to be involved in school athletics and dance. By doing this it just creates a very positive environment in dance class when they feel that they can share their sporting event stories with the class. We must all work together in order to keep everything positive. I also go to all the sporting events when I am not teaching dance and watch my dancers play other sports. The kids absolutely love when they can go and tell their parents that Ms. Ariel came to watch their basketball game or their beauty pageant or whatever it might be. I stay involved with the community because in turn my community will stay involved with me.

I love hearing stories like this, a small town store that faces closing and the town makes changes to laws so they can stay open. That is great loyalty, which begs the question, what did that store do for them to make the people react as they did? The owner speaks of some of the things they did for the community, but they must have been really dug in for them to fix the law so they can cater to their customers. This is a great story and solidifies that if a company gives itself over to customers then they will have your back in whatever adversity is sure to stare you in the face.

Small businesses in a community can flourish when they have support from its citizens. Unlike big corporations, they develop personal relationships with their customers; which makes for a welcoming environment.

This was a cool video that showed that you can find a away to make something happen. I liked the story the speaker have about how her wine cellar store could have been shut down if they did not find a way to work around the laws in the community. You can tell she really values we customers and wants them to have tw full experience of enjoying the wine she offers.

A small business is someone who should become close to their community to make them feel more appreciated. A small business can and should overcome the obstacles thrown their way to help create the best relationship possible with the community and to continue to work at a successful level.

This video shows a wine cellar and how being close with the community became beneficial to their business. Being close with the community is important because if the community wants you to succeed, the community will help you out in difficult times. In this particular situation they weren't able to sell wine by the glass but they were able to show that the business might fail without this and were able to change some laws to make it possible.

I would definitely share this with friends and colleagues. Thank you professor! I can so relate to this video. I worked for a close friend's family who owned a wine cellar and it was centrally located in a small community. I would definitely agree that in a small business the small things are what count. Especially taking care of the customer base and as the video say if you need to implement a wine by the glass program in order to be successful and sustainable then that's what you do.

This is good advice for any business, but especially for small businesses. It is becoming harder and harder for small businesses to compete with larger companies, so it is very important to build relationships with your customers and be as big a part of the community as you can be. The case in this video demonstrates that in sometimes your customers may help you out in a time of need because of the strong relationship you have built with them.

TITLE- The Wine Cellars: Embrace your local community
Small businesses are at a serious disadvantage in today’s corporate business world. In my opinion, actively pursuing a relationship with the community is vital to success in small businesses. Communities want to have loyalty especially with businesses that they regularly interact with. Deepening this bond can potentially be the make or break factor for many local business owners.

In order to be successful, you must be backed by your environment and community! Without support, selling to customers becomes excruciatingly difficult…as more effort is required. I found myself pretty sympathetic towards the speaker as she was determined to have wine tasting by the glass. Not only has her company created work for people but it has even influenced laws making it easier for similar and future business. Her wine store’s success has shown its appreciation towards local help and support by providing a place for the community to socialize and relax! The people visiting the store are the people responsible for its success. To conclude, the store and its customers share a mutual and benefitting relationship with each other.

This video certainly shows the advantages of embracing your local community. Had the neighborhood not had such a favorable view of her she wouldn’t have been able to get approval to offer wine by the glass. Doing things such as sponsoring local events and having a great relationship with the community are small businesses only hope to compete against larger businesses.
