I personally was never taught how to keep track of my finances, but as a future parent I will be sure to bring up this lesson in my household. I think it is a must to teach children how to be financially smart at a young age so they can carry the lesson over into adulthood. As a young child your mind is like a sponge and you soak up more information when young than you do as an adult. So from this video I am taking that if I want future success for my children than I am going to teach them to be financially smart.

This video presents some incredibly powerful points! Money principles should definitely be taught in schools. The government gives out free money to millions, but they fail to teach people how to manage it properly. We would give our future generations a huge advantage by teaching these money basics in school and familiarizing our kids with the value of a dollar. It would help a lot of kids if they are taught these concepts early on in life. Luckily my family was pretty good with money and they made sure that I learned how important these decisions were so I wouldn't fail later in life. Many of the older generations lived by different money principles, but the world is different and new lessons must be learned in order to be successful.

I totally agree with this video, many teens and graduates do not know how to manage money and we should be required to take a money principle class. Many people go through life with out ever thinking about finances and then when the time comes for them to be on their own they are clueless and panic. I would recommend this video for anyone who wants to learn about finances and have a successful financial life. I think everyone should be required to take a personal finance class and learn about how our government tax and money system works.

I found this video to be very helpful. Fortunately, I am lucky enough to have parents help me with all of this. although I am not the beset at saving money. I feel that saving money is so important and definitely something I need to work on! this video does discuss the importance of finance management. And when a person is able to budget, I feel they will have a higher level of self enjoyment and not having to always worry about money.

I am a big advocate that personal finance skill should be taught at the high school level. I believe that a class like that would be extremely beneficial to the general population because not everyone goes to college, but at least they will be exposed to some sort of finance ability.

Personal finance should definitely be taught in school starting in grammar or middle school and continuing in high school and college. I love how Alexa says that since personal fiancé is not taught in any schools, most people today learn from trail and error. This can't be more true. I am a college and nobody has told me anything about personal finances so I have had to learn through others and use my own common sense. I do however know how to make a budget. This is not because of schooling, but because of my personality which is a type A. I love planning and being organize so I really love making a daily, weekly, and monthly budget. I also happen to be naturally good with money and finance. Mot everyone is like me though and they need to be taught about things like making a budget and why credit is important. Maybe if finance classes are required throughout all school especially high school we can decrease most Americans personal debt.

I definitely agree with the speaker. Personal finance is one of the most important areas that people often pay less attention to. However, failure to properly manage ones' finance can bring detrimetal effect.
