Personal finances are very important. I have been very lucky to have landed a job in a financial investment firm to understand more about personal finance. However, the example of this business sounds a lot like the position that I'm in. This video has opened my eyes to not make the same mistakes as Jessica.

I can definitely relate to this video as well as I'm sure every college student. Many of us are in debt from school tuition or credit cards and it's hard to think about saving money now when we barely have any money as it is. I'm definitely guilty of spending more money than I should be rather than saving it. I think that it's important to try and teach kids at a young age how important financial planning is and the effects it can cause long term if we don't learn how to get it under control.

Informing young adults on finances is something that is seldom practiced. Whether they are educated in school or by friends and family, it is detrimental to their success and welfare. If we make better financial decisions early on in our lives, rather than later, the well being of ourselves, spouse, and children is protected. Something so crucial to our success is rarely even mentioned and we are forced to learn on our own.

One Life-Changing Class You Never Took: Alexa von Tobel at TEDx
This video is very correct. People are rarely taught about personal finance. I know this is true because of all my friends that went to college yet make costly personal decisions. I knew nothing about. It would be smart to begin educating people about personal finance in high school because some people choose not to go to college. It is very important to know about this stuff that way you can save and have extra money to make you feel more secure and less stressed. This video is one of my favorites. I learnt a lot about life in general while listening to Alexa

Money is a huge thing that people deal with everyday. I know people most of the time are very stressed when it comes to finances. Unfortunately there is nothing that is going on where people can get the guidance they need to make some choices. Financial guidance should be something that is required in school as a high school student. I know a lot of people that i go to school with will be in a lot of debt when they get out of college and most of them are thinking some of these things. I am fortunate enough not be in debt when I get out of school. I have been able to work while in school where I can pay everything off.

I loved this video and I am immediately posting it to my website. I spend my days explaining to people about money and budgets and credit scores. I give detailed information which they have never heard of in their lives and it amazes me that they haven't. I took a proactive approach to money at a young age because I saw the principles my mother was teaching me about handling money. If you have it, spend it. Savings account were always at $0 and bills were always red when they came in the mail. I made a choice that I would never live with that anxiety. I self educated myself about the ins and outs of personal budgeting and financing issues. Because of my experience with irresponsibility on my prime example's life, I changed my future and now I help others do the same.

Managing your personal finances is important to learn. This is not something that it will be taught in a classroom setting, but people usually learn this through mistakes. I think school should have more information about how to manager your finances. I think taking care of your debt and manage your money accordingly so you can also save and prepare for future is key. The faster you can get out of debt the better it will be. Like the video states it is not important to be rich. It is importan to enrich your life to the fullest.

Personal finance should be a class that all college students are required to take. There are numerous people still clueless about how credit scores work and its affect it has throughout their lives. This was a video of how typical college graduates live their lives financially. They find out the importance of finances and budgets through trial and error. There needs to be a better solution than that.

This video was probably the most helpful of them all. The statistics she states about students right out of college in debt are scary. I know my current situation is a lot like Jessica's from the video, and I want to change it.

This video is right on! In order to do business or even to live, you need finances! It is something that is not taught in schools or really in life. Financial decisions are made every single day. I know personally, I was never formally trained in personal finances and just like she said most people learn from their parents or trial and error. The sad part is, if the error is big enough, it can ruin a person's life all together. The is a topic that needs to be addressed. Personal finances not only need to be taught in schools, it needs to be stressed everywhere. If we have a culture of managing our personal finances correctly, our economy as a whole could really benefit.

I think that every person should watch this video. Personal finance is something very important but it is often ignored. I think that students should be taught in high school the basics of personal finance. For example, it absolute amazes me that so many people my age do not know how to balance their checkbook or even how to write a check. If people are taught personal finance skills at an early age, then those skills will not only carry with them but they will also continue to develop. I think that if people were taught simple personal finance skills in high school than their finances in college would have been under better control.

This video was so true. Personal finance should definitely be taught in schools. This is something that everyone has to know and I feel like its just as important as learning to read and write. Maybe one day school will realize it and begin a course related jut to personal finance.

Personal finance is a sore subject for many, including myself! Like many others, I've never actually been sat down and taught how to manage my finances. This causes so much stress on the shoulders of everyone. I completely support the fact that classes on personal finance should be included in not only college courses, but high school as well. This is a subject that can continually be taught and learned, no matter what age, encouraging young people to make smart decisions on their finances.

Life lessons are not usually taught in school. We learn basic aspects that teach us how to expand our brain function. School does not teach us how to use those expended brain functions. None of us know how to take control of our personal finances and decisions unless we have been through a situation like the one we are facing. School should start offering classes that can show us how the real world works and how to survive it.
