Our personal finances are something we often over look due to the stress it causes when we simply think about it. Children are not taught about personal finance except at home by people who usually no little to nothing about it. Because of this, many people grow up stressing about it and never feeling as though they are financially stable. We should all become more educated on personal finance so that we can better educate young people to prevent many of the issues that poor personal finance causes in this country.

This is incredibly powerful! Money principles SHOULD be taught in schools. The government gives out free money to millions, shouldn’t they teach people how to manage it! We would give our future generations a huge advantage by teaching these money basics. It would have helped me if I would have been taught these early on in my life. My family was not very good with money and I never learned how important these decisions were until later in life. Many of the older generations lived by different money principles but the world is different and new lessons must be learned in order to be successful.

This is the most important video and i am glad to watch it. Yes, finance is something so important which mostly ignored. We are talked how to many money but not how to spend it. What i like the most in the video is that it is not how much we earn it is how we spend it. It is amazing how things can change if we budget early at 20s than waiting until 40s. We need to do what is most important before we are got up by kids. It was also interested to know that 61% of American life paycheck to paycheck. As i graduate and look for opportunities this video is a teaching to me.

This video could not be more correct. People are not taught about personal finance. I know this is true because some of the things Alexa spoke about in the video, I knew nothing about. It would be smart to begin educating people about personal finance in high school because some people choose not to go to college. It is very important to know about this stuff that way you can save and have extra money to make you feel more secure and less stressed. This video should go viral!

This video is a perfect example of why I do what I do. I am a personal adviser with a company that advises middle class america on how to make, save, and spend their money. Middle america is so undeserved in the financial services industry, many people have no idea about what to do. Unfortunately, we only learn about finance from our parents and most times, they were not properly taught about finance either. It is companies like mine, and individuals who teach people how to live stress free from money lives that will change the personal finance crisis in this nation.

This was a great example to learn from because it is "typical" in the US. It is astonishing how we as children and young adults are not formally taught about the power of compound interest and money as a tool. I was fortunate enough to be exposed to some vital concepts as a young teenager and it has proven to make a difference. Money is a powerful tool and if we are not financially educated then we should read books, the more we learn the faster dreams can come true.

Personal finances is something everyone thing about. Money is an important thing that affects everyone. You need to know how to balance your money. Most people learn the hard way. Having a budget helps a lot. It lets you see what you can spend and what you can't. It's always wise to think ahead. Always plan for the future. You never know when you will need money to fall back on.

Even though this video was a little long, I liked it a lot. I learned so much about personal financing in those 11 minutes. With graduation coming up in May, I will definitely take with me all of her advice. I having been wanting to get an apartment of my own once I graduate, but now I am going to wait until I am completely ready financially. It's not worth all the money per month when I can stay with relatives for free. It also made me realize that I don't want to get married or have kids until I am completely debt free of student loans and have enough money in savings. I want my husband and I to get to go on vacations and things without being worried about money. I also want to wait and have kids when I'm financially stable so they will be get to have everything I did when I was growing up. I want to be able to take them places and buy them the things they need and want without money ever having to be an issue. I don't want to fight with my husband about money or stress about it. I think people need to be educated more on personal financing and maybe not as many people will be in debt up to their eyes.

Personal finance is probably the most important thing in our society that is never taught. We have countless principles, math problems, and historical facts pounded in our heads while growing up but nothing about buying a house. Investing for the future is also something that is widely overlooked and can play the ultimate role in how you retire.

Making decisions about your personal finances is extremely important. As of today I have to make decisions on how I will pay off Sallie Mae within at least 5 years. That finance alone is going to kill me in debt. Im not trying to live with bad debt from sallie mae. If I can get some good debt that would be great. But personal finance is important if you want to live a healthy life with your family and kids.

I think everyone would agree that they wished they had a class on personal financing. It is true that money is important in everyone's lives and can have many affects on us. I personally wish I had been able to take one of these classes earlier. I might not have lived from paycheck to paycheck myself. However some schools do offer personal financial classes so I highly recommend that everyone look into taking one.

One Life-Changing Class You Never Took: Alexa von Tobel at TEDx Personal financing is something that no everyone gets taught, There's no class that people can take that teaches you the importance of saving and spending. Some people are fortunate enough to learn from there parents but others are not. They are left to learn this iife lessons on their own. Money is important part of people's life but learning to spend it wising is something that people don't understand. People should consider taking a class or even talking to an advisor.

I 100% agree with this! Half the time I was in school there were letters in my math problems that I have yet to use, yet no one really taught me how to mortgage a home or how to file my taxes. I will never understand that! I think personal finances is something that every person should focus more on.
