Unfortunately, I think I am good at multitasking. I often switch back and forth between tasks because I tend to get bored. However, I agree completely with what the video is saying. When I am constantly switching back and forth between tasks, it often takes me about 15 minutes to get back on that train of thought and therefore wasting adequate time I could be using to focus in on that specific task. In today's business world, many employees feel as though they must multitask in order to keep up. There have been times when I am sitting at my desk working diligently on a task and then someone asks me to do something else. I want to finish what I am working on but I also want to get the task done that I was recently given while the instructions are fresh in my head. I need to focus in on one task and complete it with train of thought that I have.

This video promotes no multi tasking focus on one thing and finish it. Multi tasking can sometimes cost us more valuable time. Multi tasking usually results in bad work habits and non productivity. Switching tasks takes up to much time and is unnecessary. This is a great video for students cause I know many of us have tried multi tasking a paper or studying with other home work or cooking dinner. We need to focus on one thing and do it right and do it in a reasonable time.

Instead of trying to do more than one thing at a thing convincing ourselves we are multitasking, we should focus on one thing at a time. Any gains we having while doing more than one thing at a time can be lost simply by switching a focus from one to another. This switch and consequential loss can take a long to recuperate from. Because of this, we should maintain a single focus and complete it to our best ability in the most optimal time.

I agree. Multitasking is possible, but how effective is it? I do believe that of people take their time and do one thing really well then you benefit more then doing everything all at once. Like my mother always told me "Do it right the first time and you won't have to do it again"! Ugh, how those days hunt me now!!

Multitasking and procrastinating are the two actions I constantly struggle with. Multitasking might feel productive, like you're killing two birds with one stone and saving yourself time, but the time you save is only being replaced with a less quality product. For example, i've had to teach myself not to listen to music while studying. Music was not a necessity, but it helped the time pass and ease my mind. All this did was distract my mind and divert my full attention. Many times when you multitask, you have to go back and revise your tasks. This in turn wastes more time then if you were to just focus on one sole thing in the beginning.

Multitasking is a nice way of saying procrastination when it comes to the business world. Knowing how to focus when you need to is the best way to finish the task at hand. Writing papers and listening to music can delay the final result because you loose focus of the paper and start singing that one song that just came on. We must find the ability to stop everything around us and focus on one task when the situation calls for it.

Multitasking can be a very dangerous task. If you are multitasking important projects, this video suggests that you don't do so. I am guilty of multitasking on many different occasions. I think I am being more productive when I do multiple things at once, but I am actually being less productive. When you multitask you are making your brain move from different subjects in rapid succession. I agree with the video if you just focus on one task at a time you will be able to achieve more.

Once again, the work smart videos sum up my life. I live by multitasking and I feel that some projects don't always get the attention that they need. Focusing on just one task at a time lets to organize your thoughts and helps you to be more productive on a daily basis. When I truly focus on one task, I can see the difference. I work more quickly and the work is on a much higher level than when I give a project only half of my attention. I definitely agree with the video and I need to practice focusing on one thing at a time.

I feel that this video is very good. People always seem to try and juggle to much at one time to try and get everything done. It is better to do one task really well then two task half assed. Although I should definitely take this advice for myself. I find myself doing homework and playing on my phone at the same time. I should stay focused to one assignment or task at a time and I know I would be able to get them done faster.

I agree with this video because it is impossible to do more than one thing at a time with quality. Instead you should focus on one single task and doing that task well. I recognize that this can be challenging, but it is better in the long-run.

Stop multitasking and just do one thing. This is especially a good thing to do at work. When you multitask you are not putting all your focus on one task but sharing your focus and attention with multiple task. Doing this means that your work will not be as good as if you were putting all you focus and effort into one task. I am a really bad multitasker no matter what I am doing. I find it really difficult to focus on two things at one time maybe because I know that whatever I am doing if I am not putting my full attention into it than it will not be as good as if I am sole focusing on one thing.

Focusing on one task is not something I am great at. I am known to jump back and forth between different jobs. We are all over the place and it is something I have become accustom to. I can see how it would be important to stop multitasking and to start doing one things really well because this can set you apart from the rest. This gives you a competitive advantage and sometimes that is exactly what you need to succeed.

Specializing in something and getting it done is far more advisable than doing too many things at once. If your plate is too full you will never excel at anything, you will just remain adequate.
