I agree with her when you focus more on one task thing become easier for you to understand get a better view of the situation. I have never seen someone who was effectively able to multitask. If you sit down and begin to focus more on one thing we may spend more time getting our objective with we have plan for the day done faster. So i agree with the video open my mind up a little bit.

TITLE - Work Smart: Stop Multitasking and Start Doing One Thing Really Well
This video explains that multitasking does not really work. Some people are beter at multitasking than others. Whenever you stop juggling it makes the job easier. When one focuses on one thing the thing at hand gets done and done faster. This video explains that doing one thing at a time is better and one can learn that from this video.

Work Smart: Stop Multitasking and Start Doing One Thing Really Well
I do enjoy these Work Smart videos. Multitasking while working on two (or more) work activities does not work! I find myself attempting to multitask a good bit at work due to necessity or time crunching. However, like Trapani asserts, I find myself taking even longer to finish two tasks while multitasking than if I would have just completing one task at a time. Managing work better means to better allocate time and energy to one task at a time, mastering that task, and then moving on to the next task. This will give you brain time to focus on one thing at a time, which means you will excel in each task better than if you had split your attention between the two.

TITLE - Work Smart: Stop Multitasking and Start Doing One Thing Really Well
It is easier said than done to only focus on one task at a time. Sometimes when we feel overwhelmed, it seems logical to try and multitask and knock everything out at once. I think it is better to do one thing well, than to do many things in a mediocre way. Setting several small goals instead of one main goal can help you to focus on more specific things. Multitasking can take more time and effort than is needed. Working a full time job and going to school while living on my own is very hard and I find myself juggling all 3, but I take the time to do one at a time. When I'm at work I try not to think about all of the projects and papers I have to do. When I am at school, I try not to focus on my money problems and what bills I have to pay.

Work Smart: Stop Multitasking and Start Doing One Thing Really Well
Focusing on one task is not something I am great at. I am known to jump back and forth between different jobs. It's what auditors do. We are all over the place and it is something I have become accustom to. I can see how it would be important to stop multitasking and to start doing one things really well because this can set you apart from the rest. This gives you a competitive advantage and sometimes that is exactly what you need to succeed.

In the fast moving world, people must learn how to do multiple things. Sometimes not focusing on one thing can ultimately harm you, like texting and driving takes your mind off something more important. Multitasking is great be must be used properly, and also its more respectful to pay full attention to those talking to you.

Work Smart: Stop Multitasking and Start Doing One Thing Really Well
I think multitasking gets complicated. Once you start multitasking it can get complicated and you might not finish everything that you are doing. it would be better to get one thing and concentrate on just that. Now with our smart phones being connected to the internet, we are checking our phone a lot of times and not concentrating on what we have to do. I think this advice is great, stop checking your phone and email and just concentrate on finishing what you are doing. Then you will finish much faster than if you stop and check your phone.

TITLE - Work Smart: Stop Multitasking and Start Doing One Thing Really Well
I have to say I have a major problem with juggling more than one thing at one time. For some reason I can stay focused on a job for so long, but I tend to get bored only doing one thing and my mind starts to wonder. When my mind wonders that's when I start letting other things interfere with my work. Text messaging is by far the biggest distraction. Now I make myself put my phone in another room than the one I am doing work in because if it is sitting besides me I am always checking it. I miss a few calls from my mom or dad in the process in which they get mad and say they are the only people I don't answer for LOL, but in return I get more work done. Until I can learn to stop juggling I will continue to have to put away my distractions.

Multitasking can be an effective way to get multiple things done at once. It can also be a surefire way to prolong the time it would normally take to completely a task. When you give your full attention to one thing at a time, you can make sure that the job is being done accurately. When used at the appropriate time, multitasking can be beneficial to your time management.

I have to say I am doing exactly what the video is saying you should not do! Multitasking sometimes seems like the only way to get things done efficiently, but this video does make good points about how you will be more productive focusing on one task at one time, that way your full attention is dedicated to that. You waste too much time switching in between tasks.

This video had great content, it shows the difference between multi-tasking and juggling. This is very accurate, because, I believe it to be true. I have not always been the best at multi-tasking but I am very good at concentrating on one thing at a time. It shows when I try to study and watch a movie at the same time or listen to music, many people can do it but I'm not one of them. If I can get peace and quiet then work gets done. Even now while I write this I am being messaged by people, through email and text, and I always try to not answer until I can reach a stopping point, it doesn't aways happen but it makes a big difference in my focus and quality of work.

I am not a person who can multitask and do all the things to the best of my ability. Focusing on one task at a time is always better and more reasonable because you can always focus on that one thing and do it to the best of your ability. You will also have given your full attention to one thing making it possible to fully understand what you have done.

This video talks about multitasking. Multitasking is that act of juggling two separate tasks. This wastes time and makes us less productive. If we focus on one thing at a time and do that thing really well we can get things done faster and better than we would with multitasking.

I would definitely share this link with friends and colleagues. Thank you Dr. Wyld I think that a majority of people try and multitask with the result of not getting much accomplished in a day. I think that as this video says you need to be able to do one thing really well! Most people start 2 or 3 things and are spinning their wheels. Staying focused and starting and finishing a task is key in order to be as productive as possible in a day's work. Also staying offf the cell phone and being focused on what u are doing is essential

Multitasking is a very important skill to master, especially in the business world. However, you must be able to recognize when a task requires your undivided attention. Failure to do so will hurt the quality of the project or projects that you are working on.
