I really enjoyed this video. It is very inspiring to see a man who has weeks or months to live, and he is still very positive. Many people need to take notes from his lecture, and know that it is better to be positive than negative. Many professors are asked to give last lectures in order to figure out what they would say if they had to give a last lecture. Randy Pausch was given a chance to give his actual last lecture. He had few regrets, and achieved many of his goals. He reminded people that sometimes it takes a long time to see the good in people. He says that brick walls are there to stop people who don't want to achieve their dreams badly enough. We should think about what we would say if it was our last day. We should lead our lives the right way, and it will all work out.

wow very good video. i was surprised to see what good health he was is and still was going to die from cancer. he brings up a point of brick walls, they are meant to show how bad you want something. honestly you need these things in order to weed out the good from the bad. if everyone could get in, then it wouldnt be much of an achievement would it?

He was really a great person. I've seen a few more of his videos and hate to see him pass. His points are always valid just as they were in this video. This video was so powerful in many ways. He is so positive and optimistic about life even through his condition. He is very inspirational and makes you want to make a difference every. That shows you that no matter what you are going through, there is always someone who has it worse than you. Be positive and be the change you wish to see in the world. The world needs more people like him.

This lecture is one of my favorites so far. I really like his discussion about brick walls being there to block us but for us to overcome and get better. I completely agree with what he says about dreams coming to you. This is a truly inspiring man.

Whoever didn't rate this with an A can go somewhere. It was very touching. It was adorable that he wrote mathematical formulas on his walls. I wish I would have done stuff like that when I was younger to help remember things. I will definitely let my children. But the brick wall analogy is very true. I never thought of employers rejecting people, even those who may be qualified, just to see if they want it badly enough. It's inspiring and will probably cause me to get banned from future employers' offices.

I like the illustration of the brick wall because the brick wall is not there as an obstacle but as a training tool to build endurance and confidence. so many times when life gets hard we want to throw and the towel and quit but this video teach how to endure no matter what life may bring our way. This man shows great strength in the video in spite of what he may have been facing.

This video is motivational but very sad. I do not know what I would say if I have to give my "Last Lecture". I assume that there would be alot I had wanted to say in my life that I wanted. I would most likely just throw it all out there, not caring what anyone thought. I think that it would take me days to plan my last lecture. Sure, there would be a time limit on it. So I would want to make sure that I got out everything that was very important to me! I really enjoyed this video.

This video was very touching. It just reinstated the fact that we never know when our last day is going to be. A preacher in my area preached Easter Sunday, and stepped down for the invitation song, and had a massive heart attack. He was only in his 40's with a wife and 2-3 kids. His message was on " You never know when you're last day will be." Although it was a horrible thing, he would have been happy to die in order to reach others.

I really enjoyed that video and think the speaker was very inspirational. I wonder if her is still alive today. I like the part about the brick wall because it is important to never get discouraged when you don't get the first job or the first project you find. Life is about making it or succeeding even with all the odds against you. I also thought his encouragement toward parents to allow their children to basically ruin their rooms was pretty interesting and made me think of whether or not I would allow that for my children. There are some disadvantages to that approach though. Writing on walls could happen all over, not just their bedroom.

Incredible and inspirational. Brick walls aren't there to stop you, they are there to keep the other people out who don't want it bad enough. I love this. I am also going to seek the entire lecture and watch because I think it is in fact very insightful.

This video is so inspiring and encouraging. We only have one chance at this life, and would should not let those brick walls keep us from our dreams and goals. We know what we want. Why not go get it?

This was a very poignant video, that really makes you think about what is most important. In life you should focus on what will positively impact your life. Be an inspiration to someone else and always inspire to do your best.

This was a sad, but inspiring, video. I don’t know what I would say as my last lecture; I really wouldn’t want to think about something like that. I will say that there are still many things that I would like to do in life before it ends, and this video makes me realize how important life is. Do what you can when you can do it.

I think this video was a poor attempt at summarizing Randy's original presentation video. I have seen it several times and enjoy it every time, but I do not like this narrator speaking over and editing out certain parts. That aside, Randy's speech was extremely moving, powerful, and inspiring. It is important to remember that walls are really doors that our minds think are locked. We just have to figure out how to open them. His story is one where he never let adversity determine his dreams. It's something we can all learn a thing or two from.

I enjoy listening to older, wiser people speak. Kind of reminded me of my grandfather, who lived to be 95 years old. He was born in 1911 and watched so many technological changes during his lifetime. He was an optimistic man always staying positive. He had amazing stories of his horse and buggy days to go to town to sell his vegetables. He later became a police officer and had six children and a wife to care for, so not a wealthy man but always had what they needed. He was a simple man and taught us how to appreciate life.
