Students, Please view and comment on this link of the day - yes, for your education, but also for the points, of course! Watch the video below: TITLE - Randy Pausch's Last LectureThen, post a comment in reply to this discussion thread. Again, what to post? Here are some ideas: + What did you take away from the video? + How does the video relate in some way to your past experience (work, as a consumer, family, school, etc.)? + How might you use these ideas in your own career? Good luck! David

People will always have their moments to impress others. If they haven't yet, then enough time just hasn't passed. Everyone has something that they really want to achieve. When they run into their brick wall and they climb that wall where others won't, that's when they'll impress those they haven't. As long as they lead their lives the right way for themselves and others, their dreams should become reachable.

Randy Pausch's Last Lecture
What would I say during my last lecture? My mortality is painfully obvious to me. Have I loved enough? Have I reached my goals? Did I let my children draw on their walls? No, I have not. At any time we could be “giving our last lecture” and not even know. This video made me cry…

TITLE - Randy Pausch's Last Lecture It is an interest and painful video, makes you laugh but also think twice, it carries so much weight. Sometimes we worry so much about things we have little control of, like the future. He advised us to do what is right and the future will take care of itself. I normally encourage myself to always to my best and the rest will take care of itself, which is similar in some way than what he said. Last lecture, something most of us will not want to talk about. But, it is a reality, the brick walls are there to stop us so that we can see ourselves if we are doing our best etc. Nice video but makes me cry.

TITLE - Randy Pausch's Last Lecture I like how he's taking life and smiling at it even if things may not be going his way I respect that . But I also like the point he state about wait long enough and give everyone a chance. To many of us judge people just after the first word that comes out their mouth but if you want to really know someone take time out and spend it getting to know that person.

Randy Pausch's Last Lecture
This video was powerful in many ways. First, because he has so much life left and optimism for a man who is sick and that is touching. Lastly, because it sends out a good message. I think it is important to wait and give everyone a chance. The world would probably be a better place is people actually did that rather than put people down because they live or act differently than us. I think it is important to do what is right and let things take their own course. This video was very interesting.

Brick walls are there to show us how bad we really want those things behind them. Brick walls separate you from those who won't work harder to get it like you will. This is my favorite video so far. It shows how looking back and not sweating the small things truly brings you peace. Focus on what you love, and pursue that. Don't let your agenda be consumed with task that are insignificant, make them purposeful.

"Its not about how to achieve your dreams, its about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself, the dreams will come to you." This is a great quote. To me this quote says that we should not be self centered, we should continually do whats right and we will be rewarded for it. Also, if we take responsibility for our lives and lead it the right way, our dreams will be obtainable because we took the correct preliminary actions. We should not hinder our children's creativity because it constrains their dreams.

Last lecture encourages people to do what they want to do. He lets us know brick walls are not there to stop us. They are there to challenge you, and see how bad you want something. If it was easy everyone could do it. Lead your life.

Wow this video just put a lot of things into perspective for me. I am so inspired by this man and his optimistic attitude towards the remainder of his life. It has me thinking about what I would say if it was my last lecture. If I died tomorrow, would I have any regrets? Questions like this are definitely something we should all be thinking about in our everyday lives. This man is so motivating and inspirational, I loved this video.

Randy Pausch's Last Lecture
I think that us as a society, and even myself, do not always give each other a shot. We are quick to judge and not quick to forgive. I have made my fair share of mistakes and I am thankful for those who have forgiven me and to those who have given me a chance after terrible first impressions. Think about how your actions, no matter how minimal, can severly impact someone elses day.

TITLE - Randy Pausch's Last Lecture
In Randy's last lecture he is just saying that in life express your creativity and never give up because life is short caress ever moment of it and grasp the opportunity. He only had a couple of months to live and during that time I guess you start to realize that everyday you wake up is a gift from god, make best of everyday and try to achieve your goals. I'm pretty sure there will be brick walls and obstacles in your way but you have to try to overcome those obstacles and better yourself.

If I had a last chance to make a speech right now I probably would not know what to say. There would still be so much to do and things to see. After listening to this video I have been encouraged to perceive life in a different way and to go out and seek to achieve my goals and aspirations. Great and inspiring video.

TITLE - Randy Pausch's Last Lecture Having to give a last lecture would take me forever to think of. I don't know what i would say because people would want those last words to make an impact to others. Randy has made so much success in life and he explains how he never gave up on his ideas. This video encourages people to live there life to the fullest and achieve goals that inspire people to do there very best in life.

This video was really powerful. I think that too much of the time we focus on things that we really have little to no control over, such as the future. I know I am totally guilty of this, and I'm trying more every day to live in the present.
