For a 30 second video, Becky gives three really good tips on delivering difficult news; empathy, honesty, and hope. These three tips can apply to business and personal situations when delivering not so great news. By showing empathy and that you care about the way the other party is feeling, you're making them feel at ease and more comfortable with the situation. Giving the facts and being honest is so important. Keeping trust and showing loyalty will turn out better in the long run rather than lying and having the ugly facts come out later. Hope; you must give a little boost at the end to let them know that you are doing what you can to make the situation easier.

Three very important things a business should provide are empathy, honesty, and hope. Empathy, so that people feel as though you really care about them and they are not just a source of money. Honesty, so that people feel safe and that they feel like you are genuine. Hope, so that people know there is a future to their relationship with the company. These three things will make your bond with customers, employees, and general public much stronger.

The video gives a useful tip of advice as to communicating difficult situation to the other parties, be that customers, employees, or public. Firstly, you need to show empathy towards them. This makes them feel that you care about them. Secondly, you should be honest to them and convey the facts that you are intending to convey. Thirdly, you should give them hope so that they feel better about the situation. You can do so by assuring them that you will do whatever you can to make it better.

You need to but yourself in that situation and let them know how you feel. The second is honest ot authentic. As a leader you need to let those you are deliver the new that you are sincere in what you said. The last is hope, give them hope. I think the three things strengthen relationship because it show you care no only in happy times but more so during difficult times.

TITLE - Rebecca Saeger: How do you deliver difficult news to your staff, customers, or the public?
Giving difficult news can be very difficult for many people. However, it is also something that you will probably end up having to do at sometime or another in your career. I think that these three points for making delivering bad news better are good points. It is important for a business person to make sure that the person understands what is going on and why. This is probably one of the easiest things for the business person to do. The most difficult thing I would think would be to show empathy. Empathy can be very difficult for some people to show. However, a business person should learn how to show empathy when they need to. Also, being able to show hope is important so that the person knows that this is not the end of the world.

This is an important video for me to listen to because I typically have a tough time being compassionate when delivering tough news. There are three important things to remember when delivering this type of news: empathy, honesty and hope. I think all three are equally important and have their unique reason why you should keep these in mind. Hope is the one that I leave out most when delivering bad news. When you give someone bad news but also instill some hope that it may turn around or there is something better coming, it doesn't leave them completely unsatisfied.

Rebecca Saeger video was very short and informative at the same time. she said three important times that can help us deliver bad news to staff, customers, or the public. Always let them know you care, and you are there for them. Always tell them the true, and make sure they understand what's going on. And last, always show hope, and lead them to go forward. These three tips can help us go a long way.

Even though this video was short, it gave great advice on how to break bad news to your employees and customers. Becky says when breaking bad news to your employees there are three main things you can do. The first is to show empathy. You want them to know that you care about how they feel. Second, be honest. It is good to be straightforward with them and let them know what exactly is going on. Don't beat around the bush or sugar coat anything; honesty is best. Lastly, is hope. Show them the path forward. Let them know you are hopeful of the future and that everyone can grow from it.

TITLE - Rebecca Saeger: How do you deliver difficult news to your staff, customers, or the public?
When I deliver bad news to someone I give them a sense of hope. I'll spot out all the positive that they have done then tell them about the negatives right after. People like when you are able to spot out the positive stuff that they have done before your give them bad news about something. When I am with one of my peers difficult news, I just tell them that there are still hope and never give up, because without hope how can you keep trying. People like when there is still hope to rely on.

Nothing is harder than having to be the bearer of bad news to someone else. Like the video says you have to be empathetic with them as to not escalate the situation any worse than what it already is. Depending on how some people react to news I would say would allow you to vary. It's one of those moments in life that everyone hates to go through, but has happened to everyone and will continue to happen all throughout our lives.

TITLE - Rebecca Saeger: How do you deliver difficult news to your staff, customers, or the public? Rebecca Saeger talks about how to give bad news to a person. In any situation it is hard to talk to people with new that might not be the best or you think they might take it the wrong way. Chances are you'll over think it and say some wrong or some thing they will take the wrong way and make the situation worse. The speaker explains ways to help with the challenge. She wants the bearer of bad news to speak of the positives and the negatives that way its not just the negative that come across to people.

I think that empathy, honesty, and hope are 3 good examples of how to approach a situation of bad news. Putting yourself in the other person's shoes can really alter the way a discussion goes or even if you have to fire someone.

TITLE - Rebecca Saeger: How do you deliver difficult news to your staff, customers, or the public?
I think that you have to be honest to the people that you are talking to when you want to give them some bad news. This will allow them to know what is going on and they will trust you in the long run because they know that you are telling the truth. When delivering bad news you should also give the people who you are talking to hope. This will let them know that even though things are tough right now, it will get better in the future. You must also have sympathy when you are giving bad news. This lets whomever you are talking to know that you have been there where they are and they will make it out of the bad situation.
