The Art of Career Development
The explanation of career development in the video is interesting. First is expertise. You don't have to know everything, but you need to know what your job would require you to do or what company does. Next is meaning. You need to know and show people why what you do matters to the company. Then, is courage. You must be courageous and put yourself out there. Last is connecting to a community. Familiarize yourself with people who do what you want to do. Hang out with people who are similar to you so you can learn from them.

To develop your career, you must have a clear understanding of what it is that you want to do. Once establishing yourself in a company, you must show the company that what you do matters and makes a difference in the business and consistently outdo yourself and get out of your comfort zone to show the variety of skills you can contribute. Establish yourself within the company and be social and a team player. All of these attributes will allow you to make a place in the company and show the leaders and managers that you have what it take to be promoted.

People will increasingly seek out opportunities as they gain more knowledge in their field of expertise. With their increased expertise, should provide work which stands out and has a strong meaning that people can relate to. Individuals should also go out and engage with others by explaining what they do while also taking in things from others. Finally, as person in business should encourage the growth of others and make them feel as though their work matters to you as much as your own work.

The video interestingly explains the art of career development. Firstly, it tells us to build our career on the foundation of expertise. We should have a clear understanding about our job and what is expected of it. Then, it tells us to prove that the work that we do matters to the other people. Then, we should have courage and confidence to stand up and set ourself in a position to show that we are capable of contributing to our job. Lastly, we should be able to connect to the society that teaches, inspires and supports us.

TITLE - The Art of Career Development It is an interest video. First, you need to build your career by the things you are passionate about. if you don't develop passion for your career then you will have some difficulties or you will be straggling. Second, you need to prove that your work matters, that you are serious with your career. Third, you need to be courageous to sell your skills and lastly, which i think is the most important in today workplace is to reach out to other, friend, co worker etc basically making connections and building relationship with others.

TITLE - The Art of Career Development
People struggle everyday about what they want to do with the rest of their lives and what their purpose is in life. It is important for these people to choose something that they are passionate about. This helps people become more successful because it is easier to do something you love everyday than something you do not really care about. Also, being able to have the skills for your profession is important, however you should also be able to express these skills to others and use them to encourage others so that they are passionate about your job as well. Also, being able to put yourself out there to create a business and/or product or service takes a lot of courage. You have to be able to present yourself to others and not be afraid of failure or rejection.

Career development is very much like art, I think it is a great comparison. When you must start with the beginning skills, like how to use a simple brush. You can not jump just to being an expert, you must start small. I think another important point he makes is how people in the same field should congregate. It is important to bounce around ideas and see what your competition is doing so you stay up to date.

He has a point; as I grow I wonder what I was going to become when I got older. I was always great at math, so I decided to enter the field of finance. He said the better you do, the more opportunities you have. Knowing that you have many opportunities waiting for you is a great feeling.

I liked how he compared career management to artists. He said the more you succeed, the broader range of opportunities you have. You are able to feed out and find new opportunities to get even better. You should be knowledgeable of your job function and familiar with the industry you are in. You must be able to communicate and motivate your team. Build a network of supporters. Make what you do meaningful. Know and show why what you do matters both to you and others. Be courageous enough to put yourself out there. Try connecting to a community, whether it's work-related or a volunteer group.

TITLE - The Art of Career Development
To develop your career you will need your community to grow you and use them to network in developing your skills. Career development is all about building relationships with the people around you. If i wanted to develop my career today I would focus on building the people around me and watching them grow while I grow at the same time. Thats the main part about developing your career if you tell me. Developing your career is not about just developing your skills but by developing the skills of the people around you.

Career development is a very important path chosen for your career. It all starts with the expertise and first knowing your role with your career. This video breaks it down in an interesting manner. It's described as an art process by first building a foundation. From there once you have the ground beneath your feet you have to make a move to propel yourself out there in the view of others. Also, building relationships around those in your community or field to further your learning and even more.

Expertise, meaning, and courage are all very important factors to being successful. I think that the biggest one is courage. If you don't have the will power and the courage to put one foot infront of the other and go for what you want, then you'll never get it unless it's handed to you. I think that courage is extremely important.
