in my opinion, I think that the people that were calling Tony Hawk a “sell out” were just jealous of his success in venturing into other aspects of business. People have such a “crab in a bucket” mentality nowadays that people say that he is selling out because his video game was selling out. I believe that people should look at this as a learning experience and congratulate Mr. Hawk instead of trying to unfairly criticize him. Once your core industry is mastered, it should automatically be encouraged to try and venture off into areas outside of said core industry.

INSTANT MBA: You Need To Sell Out Without Selling Out
You shouldn't let what other people think hinder your success. Just because some people may not approve of what you're doing, if you enjoy it and are successful, then you should continue it. Tony Hawk had no reason to feel ashamed of becoming well known for his video game. I would never not take a great opportunity just because of what other people may think.

Instant MBA: You Need To Sell Out Without Selling Out
I enjoyed this article. As a business owner, you must make the decisions that affect your career. Other’s may have opinions and call you a “sell out.” This is most likely brought on because of jealousy. If it’s something you enjoy and something you feel passionate about, go for it. Only you can make yourself happy. Don't worry about what others may think or say. You have to make yourself happy.

In this article, Tony Hawk gives information. He basically was frowned upon in the skateboarding world strictly because he took their lifestyles and made it into a video game. Majority of the people putting down on him was just jealous because of his success. He liked what he produced as a skater and he was proud of his accomplishments. Tony Hawk didn't let the negativity take away from his success.
