Instant MBA:You need to sell out without selling out
It is good to take something to another level and Tony Hawk demonstrates this by taking skateboarding to another level. At times there will be close minded people that can not see past the fence and those people will hate the fact that you are doing something different. This is very important to think about when taking things to another level. A person would have to just get ready for critics.

Instant MBA: You Need To Sell Out Without Selling Out
In business it is important to be able to decide what is best for you. You cannot always listen to other people's opinions or advice. Ultimately the decision is yours. I think that Tony Hawk is right when he says that when people say you are a "sell out" it means that they have just heard your name. Sadly, the business industry has become so competitive that they are not always supportive of other people's success. Therefore, people like to try to bring people down and talk bad about them instead of congratulating them and supporting them.

Every person has their own goals, morals, and personalities. What may be best for you, might not be best for me. A skateboarder that is somewhat timid, might not want to be recognized as much as another who is more outgoing. There is nothing wrong with either perspective. Toney Hawk wanted recognition and enjoyed the thought of having his own game that does not mean he is a "sell out". There is always going to be those people that do not agree. You have to think of what is best for you.

Instant MBA: You Need To Sell Out Without Selling Out
This article is fairly simple and straightforward. Yes while Tony Hawk may have been considered a sellout by his peers or other skaters, I promise you he laughed all the way to the bank. He saw a business opportunity and ran with it. The jealousy from others was either because they did not capitalize on a similar opportunity or never thought of it at all.

I think Tony Hawk did a great job taking his idea and running with it. He came up with a plan and executed it so well he was able to make a profit off of it. He was able to take something that he truly loved doing and explored it in a completely different aspect. I think a lot of others in the skateboard industry saw it as a cop out mostly because of the image that comes along with that industry. Also, a little bit of jealousy as well. This just goes to show that you can not always depend on support from others. You really have to trust your instinct.

Instant MBA: You Need To Sell Out Without Selling Out
I believe in always following your dreams, and that is what Tony Hawk did. I don't think he is a sellout just because he started making video games. It's not like he got famous from skating and quit just to make videos games. He did what he loved to do, and the games came with it. It was probably a big deal back then because games weren't very big in those times, so having one was a very big deal. In today's society, being famous and getting a game made is pretty common, so nobody would think twice about it. You would not be considered a sellout in today's world.

INSTANT MBA: You Need To Sell Out Without Selling Out
I believe Tony was experiencing jealousy from others in his sport. Unless he just did not hang out with his skater buddys as much anymore. I don't see what's wrong with venturing from skating into the video game industry. He probably made a good bit of money from doing so. So what is wrong with better his life financially? It would be a different story if Tony made a video game and was a terrible skateboarder. That would be a disgrace to skateboarding.

INSTANT MBA: You Need To Sell Out Without Selling Out
I think this is good advice. Everyone at some point or another becomes a little bit of a 'sell out' from time to time. Whether it be ditching your garage band buddies for a chance at the big time, or buying the newest smartphone that everyone else is purchasing, everyone at some point chooses the popular, more often trekked route. However, Hawk adds that even though he sold out to the industry, he stayed true to his skateboarding roots. Picking the road often traveled instead of the less traveled one does not mean one has to give up what they believe in.

Instant MBA: You Need To Sell Out Without Selling Out It doesn’t matter what others think of what you’ve achieved and where you’re going in like. Believe in your dreams and don’t be afraid to achieve them. Hawk was making a name for himself and others were trying to hold him back from that. They thought he was selling out when really it was expanding his career. He was thinking outside the box and achieving greater success than just being a skateboarder.

I did not see anything wrong with Tony Hawk branching his skateboarding into video games. In my opinion, once you have reached a certain amount of respect or popularity in one industry then I think it is time to branch into another one with your already established popularity. Great business ideas can come from anyone other than just entrepreneurs, but even such as people like skateboarders such as Tony Hawk. What Hawk is saying though is disregard any negative feedback from those who do not support or agree with the decisions you make.

I think this is great advice. Anyone can be an entrepreneur in whichever field they are in. I believe people's reactions to Hawk's great video game success only signifies a sort of jealousy in him being successful at it. Being a "sell out" should not be taken as negative. Who wouldn't want to create a product or service and it becoming instantly successful? I believe it is important to not pay attention to negativity if you truly feel that what you are doing is right and if you believe in it.

INSTANT MBA: You Need To Sell Out Without Selling Out
Unless it's some unethical, I think people call others sellouts strictly because they are doing what they wish they could do and they are jealous. In this world, nothing will stay the same, so people need to prepare for changes and accept and move on.

Instant MBA: You Need To Sell Out Without Selling Out
There will always be individuals looking to talk bad about someone else. People get jealous of what others are accomplishing. There will always be that one person that will try to take what you are doing and turn it into something bad. If you believe in what you are doing and believe in yourself, those individuals don't matter. I believe that someone should always continue to do things that they believe in. They should continue to follow their dreams and continue to make dreams into reality. If someone believes in themselves, it really doesn't matter what anyone else has to say about the matter!

INSTANT MBA: You Need To Sell Out Without Selling Out
I don't clearly understand this article. I know people in anywhere of the world will always talk about someone, and what i think is important as the writer puts it is to stay focus on what you believe is important to you and your life and stop worrying about what people say or think sometimes. The people should let his/her action shuts the people up because the person is doing good and is successful.

I hear so often of people doing this. Jealousy takes over people when they see others succeeding. It's important to just keep doing what you're doing regardless of the backlashes you'll get. In the article Hawk says, "you can't worry about things like that. You have to do what you believe in, and if people think you've become a sellout, it's because you're now someone they've heard of." This is so true, they cannot stand to see you making a name for yourself, but you can't let them get in your head. As long as you stay humble about your successes then you will remain the bigger person.
