In every business you are going to have someone who will lie. Although, I wish this was not true and everyone would just be ethical! But this video discussed ways to be able to catch when people lie such as body language and voice intonation. There are many ways to be able to tell when someone is not being honest and this video was very helpful for being able to tell.

If only I saw this video four years ago I wouldn't have half as many disappointing stories. Their are definitely many ways to spot a liar and they way she spoke of it made it seem so easy. I will definitely be using this in the future.

Spotting the truth is the positive side of this video. We all want to be honest and truthful so that is how we perceive others to be. It is not a new fact. Humans have always been this way. So how do we tell is someone is not being truthful with us? Physcology majors could help with that answer. Your face and motions can give away any lie. Learning these human habits and reacting to them in natural ways is the best way to help society start telling more of the truth instead of just part of it.

One of the biggest parts of being a manager is being able to read people and their body language. This is key when trying to catch a liar in your organization. There is always going to be someone who lies in business, its your job as a manager to effectively manage the situations that arise from these liars.

Lying is an inevitable part of our culture. Think about all of the lies you've told in your life. We are all guilty. The transition from lying to truth seeking is important. You want to try to see the best in people, but you also need to keep yourself protected. The ability to spot lies is useful in life, but can be alarming when you start realizing that people lie to you more often than you thought. Small head shakes and indifferent mannerisms can help you spot someone who is lying, but it takes practice to spot these things without giving away that you are looking for them. Being truthful is also very important. If you don't want to be lied to, then don't lie to other people.

Lying is a part of our culture that is inevitable and we do it most ourselves. The transition from lie spotting to truth seeking is important to be able to look for the best in people and also keep yourself protected. The ability to spot lies is dangerous and can be alarming when you start looking at all the signs of someone lying to you. Focusing on head shakes and different mannerisms can keep you even more confused than sometimes you want to be. Focusing on being truthful yourself is so important, sometimes embellishing and a small lie can seem okay at first but then catch up to when it is the worst time.
