The secret to getting things done is making them more automatic. This makes them require less energy. They don't require conscious will or discipline. The way to do this is first by keeping a specific bedtime. Second, prioritize one key task per day. You should also keep a list of things to remember. Next, question yourself anytime you feel triggered. If you miss one, you will probably pay a price and want to get that done the next day. This is a good thing to get in the habit of doing. That way you can be more productive with your time and energy.

If you have a everyday schedule that you can live by you will be better off. This is help you maintain organization and structure in your life. Also, this causes less stress when you know exactly what you have to do.

I think it is very important ford people to be able to enjoy personal life and be successful and productive at work. The concept of making things automatic is pretty difficult to grasp. I do agree with having a set way of doing things but those should be the mundane day to day task. Also in life the are going to be unexpected situations that come along which no one is prepared for so its pretty hard to control most things that come up.

I try to stick to rituals in order to stay on task with my many tasks. I know I have to continue to work out to stay in shape and fit, I know I have to stay on top of the many assignments from my college courses and I know I need to be well rested for my long work ours in extremely cold temperatures. But, I often find myself with not enough time in a day. So, I have to sacrifice some things that are less important than others at times. I understand the consequences if I miss deadlines or skip assignments and am willing to accept them in order to sanely reach my end goal.

Productive rituals are a practice that many business people are unaware that they are even doing. From small habits, to extensive activities, productive rituals can completely improve a company in all aspects. By being conscious of your rituals, you can better plan the objectives and organization of your work routine. Getting in a routine can be difficult, but once it's established it comes without thought.

Balancing everything in your life is tough. Every One IS ALWAYS GETTING PULLED IN MULTIPLE DIRECTIONS. Managing your life is allowing to make things more automatic which i agree in this video. I thought these key points are useful into managing my life: Keeping a bed time, focus on whats the most important, write down task and lists, question yourself when you feeling triggered. I already use these things in my life and it helps me go along in my day. I like how this guy used the word ritual in matching it with what needs to be done to get things done.

great advice, so here we can apply discipline to work ourselves into a routine. making sure that we are able to get all the sleep required, always allowing for the things we need on a constant basis. ie exercise, proper hygiene and staying ontop of our work at home and in the office are just a few examples

I could definitely learn a lot by following the advice from this video. I currently have a full time job as well as going to school, and trying to juggle that with friends gets very tiring. Prioritizing your day to goals that are realistic and attainable can help you get more accomplished. I thought that it was interesting that if you continue a routine everyday your body gets so used to it that it doesn't affect your energy level any more.

I like this guy's suggestions. I do most of those things on a daily basis. The only thing I don't do is have a specific bedtime. I have a hard time unwinding from the day and relaxing. I'm still thinking of what my priority will be and then I think about just getting up and starting it now. Then my sleep gets put off.

As a future accountant I believe I will be one of the people described in the video: over worked, exhausted, not having time for social outings. In order to combat these issues I can use the steps described in the video. By creating a ritual your body feels obliged to do so and is ready to do so, therefore your energy does not get depleted. In my future career I can see myself creating the ritual to only do one hour of work away from the office everyday of the week. In doing this I can allow myself to still have a social life, while also getting the needed tasks done.

I agree with the video when it comes to he quality of life based on rituals.. Performing the same rituals everyday develops a consistent pattern that allows your body to adapt to the necessary requirements of energy. I usually go to bed at the same time every night and perform my daily activities on a consistent basis. This has allowed me to feel more refreshed that I have felt in the past. When your body has more energy you are able to become productive and you will be more likely to carry a positive attitude.

THIS is my biggest problem. I have such a busy schedule (work 40+ hours a week, taking 21 hours at school, trying to have a personal life, etc) that I never have time to do things I need to for myself. First, the bed time thing is very hard for me because I don't have a set schedule every day. I think I can do the task focusing thing, but it seems like a vague idea. I love lists. They make me feel very accomplished. I like the idea about trying to react better to things because I certainly have an issue overreacting to negative things in my life.

These are some really great tips for maximizing productivity. I definitely love watching video and collecting tips on this subject because procrastination is my middle name. I have heard before and even read books that said a good night sleep is extremely important not only for your mental health, but for your physical health too. Even though I know this and I agree with it, I do not make it a point to go to bed at a certain time in order to achieve this. One thing that I do not do that I know would help me out tremendously, is the thing that he talked about getting your most important task done first. I usually push that thing off until later and later becomes like days weeks or even months later. I think if I did this it would definitely increase my productivity.

I likedd this video. I have been struggling a lot with this lately especially because I am ready for school to end but it definitely is a helpful video. I find myself trying to at least get one thing done everyday. It is my way of trying to be productive. If I do not complete at least one task my day is not complete.

any behavior committed for 30 days becomes a habit. A habit is something that become a part of our daily lives. like for example making it a habit of going to bed at 9:00 can be ritual in our every day life if we practice it enough. I believe that if something is practice enough it becomes a part of us and becomes second nature to us just like breathing. so I believe that things can be rituals or habits if they are practiced on daily bases.
