Well I had a ritual when I would go to bed at 9 o'clock everyday and it worked until I got into college and planned to go to sleep at around 12 o'clock. From what this guy is saying, rituals really work if you stick to them and stay consistent with them. My ritual of sleeping at a certain time worked for almost 4 years so this has to be true, and I also have a ritual where I check my emails on my phone everyday and it keeps me up to date of what is going on with school and other activities that I'm involved in. Rituals just makes you a better person all around.

Develop Productivity Rituals
This video was very interesting. The purpose of it was to explain to the audience how rituals are important for developing productive habits. Rituals are useful for various reasons, but especially for developing an unconscious rhythm. This video demonstrated some interesting ideas about how to develop good unconscious habits. I found this video helpful.

Develop Productivity Rituals
Well, the questions Schwartz poses at the beginning of this video are exactly the questions I deal with everyday. I have attempted to create rituals for myself in my work and personal life, so this video could not come at a more pertinent time. I do need an earlier and more precise bedtime. I usually find myself looking through my phone until 2 or 3 in the morning. I need to go to bed earlier, and leave my cell phone out of the bedroom. I also have found it easier when I start my day early, and start my task early. I do find myself writing down ideas and tasks as they come up. The notes section on my phone is very helpful for this task. Creating a self-evaluating ritual is also a very good idea.

Develop Productivity Rituals
I agree with setting productivity rituals in order to be your best during the day. I like his ideas about prioritizing one task per day, writing down new task or ideas, and questioning yourself when triggered. However, having a specific bedtime is hard, especially when you work full-time and have small children. It just doesn't happen and I wish I could get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.

I like this video because I have myself had rituals I would follow due to playing baseball. I believe that these rituals do help with keeping people in control of their life. While playing baseball I called these rituals, superstitions, I would always do the same things on every game day thinking that if I do, I will perform very well that day. I feel like these rituals that were talked about are just ways to get organized, like going to sleep at a good time and completing steps that we write down for the day. Being able to write out your day and complete the most important things per day allows for there to be stress relief. In retrospect, organization seems to be the most important thing to controlling one's life.

Develop Productivity Rituals
Now a days with technology with are being more productive, but also it is taking more time away from us and also we are working longer hours and do not have extra time. I agree with the video, we should have a "ritual" for everyday activities. Having specific times to do everything is a nice way to organize everything and accomplish more. However with the world being so technological important emails can arrive late at night and make you stay up longer that expected. I think in a perfect scenario, it will be possible to have a ritual. However I believe you can still try to follow the speakers advice, by prioritizing task for the next day, so the most important will be out of the way.

We all have rituals I do the same thing every morning and usually the same thing every time I come home in the evening. These rituals usually take less energy we are so use to doing them we tend to do them even quicker. Rituals are necessary for most people especially if you have children and a family who depends on you. Another great idea was that you take notes throughout the day as reminders of things to do rather than trying to remember what to do.

This video helps the viewer become more productive during their day. You are able to do this by developing a productivity ritual. Now a days people are expected to work longer hrs. and do more with less and could use more energy. This is why you should repeat your activities and make them become rituals.

TITLE - Develop Productivity Rituals
I think the speaker made quite a few good, well thought out point about forming rituals through out your day so a task can become something that does not completely consume you. I do think some tasks are to be made into a ritual or habit if you have a ton of other pressing demands on your life. Instead of focusing on how things will get done, I think it is important to focus on your core motives and invest time their. You will find a way to get things done that you value, so putting a focus their may help other tasks and tesponsibilitea fall in place. You may even discover a task that you once thought was extremely important is actually quite irrevelevant to you focus.

I try to make myself adhere to rituals to get my work done before it becomes overload and I'm finishing up everything at the last minute. Sometimes I think to myself that I will never learn, and I usually say how I will do better next semester. Honestly this has been one of my worst semesters in my college career, and I believe that having these rituals would make me do better instead of just saying I will, and then complaining and stressing when I don't.

Develop Productivity Rituals They say that it takes 28 days to create a habit. I definitely think that creating a specific bed time is definitely something that could make or break a person. I spend countless hours wasting time looking at ridiculous pictures on the internet for entertainment. I spent a whole month waking up every morning by 6 and exercising for an hour. I felt fantastic! I stopped for about a week for recovery and haven't been able to get back in that habit since. It would be beneficial to my overall quality of life to get back in this habit.

I try to adhere to some rituals to make sure my work gets done before it is too much for me to handle. Sometimes I think that I will never learn and that I can just tell myself that I will do better next time. I know that the past couple of semesters has been truly difficult for me and having the rituals to make everything happen on time is something that truly helps me to keep things on track and keeps me from stressing out about it at the last minute.
