I did not like this video at all. I could not relate to what he was saying because I am not a manager and have never been a manager. I guess this would be helpful to someone who is a manager possibly.

I like the quote servant leadership because it shows the that leader has general concern about the group they are leading. Leadership starts with being the example and if the leader is setting a positive examples then those who are following them will follow the example that is display before them. For example a good leader is one who take the loads off his follower by lending a helping hands or by offering advice that is beneficial to those who are following in the path. So I believe if the leader is being the example then the qualities that are being displayed will be displayed in those who are follow the leader.

I enjoyed this video. Leaders should serve the individuals they lead. Leaders need to listen to their workers to understand the entire aspect of a work lace, or situation. Leaders should be there not to bark orders but to move the individuals in the right direction.

LEADERSHIP: Servant Leadership
I have always looked at being a leader as being a servant to others. As a leader/supervisor at work I try to lead by example in doing everything. That includes serving my workers and making sure I serve them to the best of my abilities. Being a good leader means you must put others' needs above your own.

Managers should be leaders and to retain this type of position one should strive to be the best leader. Managers who work hand-in-hand with employees actually help make the business run smoother and create more enjoyable work place. Rather than giving orders, they are there leading the team on the best way to move products/services.

Having a servant's heart would be a great trait for an individual in leadership to have. If my boss goes out of his/her way to help me, then that shows commitment and passion for the company. It's always great to see someone in leadership not riding on their high horse and just truly caring about the people they are in charge of.

Being a servant leader can do more for you and the people you are leading then is even realized. When leaders decide they will serve the people under them, they gain respect, and their employees feel valued and appreciated. Many times managers sit back and tell people what to do. The employees may get the feeling "they have no clue what I go through" but when a leader offers to help, the attitude of the employee changes drastically. It not only gives the manager a small perspective of the employee's job but it also makes the employee feel like the manager cares.

Servant leadership is a great quality because it teaches us that leading is not all about telling others what to do but to serving others. Your members are as important to your team as the leader is. If leaders learn how to serve more than you will have a more well-rounded team that functions very well.

As a manager, part of your job responsibilities are being of service to your employees, those people who directly report to you. You should stand up for them when they need your support, guide them into the right direction, be a mentor to them. By making sure your employees' needs are met, you are building a great team.

I have never thought of a leader being a servant to other people. It does make sense and I like the points he makes in this video. So a manager how does he serve his employees and make their jobs a little easier. Make sure your employees are taken care of and are comfortable anything they need you to do, you should try your best to do it. So far this guy has made many videos that help us in the workplace.

The idea that a leader is a servant can have a very big impact on a firm. Many leaders believe that their only job is to delegate activities to their employees. In all honesty, that is not the way to run a business. Only one part of a leaders job should be to give direction. Leaders should keep in mind that they are also there to lead by example and to help nurture employees to be the best that they can be.

I liked this video. As a leader, you should be a servant to others. You are there to help guide your employees and by being a servant, you are there to help them when help is needed. You sometimes have to be a mediator and help with disputes. Always ask your employees, is there anything I can do to help you succeed?

They say that as a manager you should be able to every job that is under you. Which is find to true. If you are a manager at a restaurant, you should not just boss people around but also help, if help is needed and you should be able to do that job. You should always ask your employees what you can do to help. With this, your employees will probably feel more comfortable around and not feel like you're just bossing them around. Very good point in this video.

Simply having the title of leader doesn't make us look up to you. Many companies are managed by people who are resented by their employees and want nothing to do with them outside the workforce. I am a manager at my work and I work with employees on improving certain skills and am accepting of their new ideas on how to improve specific functions. If their idea is more efficient, then we implement it. It's simple, by having the employees respect one another and myself, the attitude around work is a positive one and more gets done. I do keep our relationships professional and even hang out with the employees outside of work. I do not have the employees feel like they are workhorses. If they fall behind during a rush, I step up and help them catch back up to where they need to be. I want to be a respected leader and not someone is hated by her employees.

This video reminds me to be of service to my employees. Frequently, when I am running a shift I focus solely on what I can do to make things run efficiently. I rarely remember to be of service to my employees because I have my own roles to fill. I do frequently step in and help them help get the food they are preparing ready faster. In the future, I will try to them clean or restock their position. I think they would greatly appreciate this and it would help to boost the morale of the company.
