My favorite quote from this video is there is nothing more rewarding than owning a business, but it is the single hardest thing to do. It is important to make sure that you do not micromanage your employees and drive them to leaving the company. I have experienced this before at a grocery store. The manager was constantly down me and my coworkers necks worrying about every little thing we did when we worked practically flawlessly. The manager spent more time worrying about us than worrying about their own performance, and eventually drove 4/5 employees in my position to quitting their jobs due to dissatisfaction with the management.

I agree that micro-managing is not the best way to run a business. Freedom brings a feeling of ownership to employees. When they are allowed to brainstorm and incorporate their ideas into their work, a drive and motivation is created within them.

Micromanagement doesn't work. This man understands that. employees love to be empowered by feeling that they are involved in the development of the company.
