Micro management is not the best way to achieve efficiency and great productivity! It puts more pressure on the employee and in turn causes them to not preform as well. When you let people work with structured freedom, they take more accountability in their work and will work harder because they feel more a part of what they do. When people take ownership in their work, they work harder to make it the best.

Micro managing is not the best way to go when running a business and this guy in the video came to realize that when one of his employees left. That alone made him understand that employees just like to do there jobs without being bothered constantly about the job that they do. An employee can handle there job because they have been doing it for so long and understand the process capable of doing it.

AdSpace Ink: Your employees shape your business
This video discusses the importance of job empowerment. The best way to empower a an employee is to avoid micro-management. Employees need to be pushed to a certain limit, that limit does not need to go farther than the training phase. If this line is crossed then employees will no longer be as productive as possible because they will not be as happy. I found the video very helpful

I really enjoyed this video. The business owner in the video learned from his mistake of micromanaging when his employee walked out on him. He learned you must empower your employees and let them do their jobs. Constantly hassling them on what they are doing causes stress and anxiety and makes them feel incompetent. You must give yoru employees confidence by allowing them to do their job on their own.

I enjoyed this video. It is true, micromanaging is one of the worst types of management styles a business leader can take on. A true micro manager probably feels he or she is being productive and organized by constantly checking up on his or her employees, but in reality, micromanaging can communicate distrust and doubt to an employee. I do believe weekly staff meetings are a must, but instead of checking up on each employee there, give employees freedom to make their own timelines and their own goals, ask their opinions of how they feel their job can be done best. This will empower employees to do their best, because they will know their manager trusts their judgment.

I have never liked the micromanaging strategy, I have been a victim of this strategy and I hated every second of it. It was the same thing every day, how are you doing this? What are you saying about this? What have you been doing all day? Come do a demo with me, etc, etc. I cannot handle someone being on my back all day from the moment I walk into work until I leave. I have always thought there needs to be a balance, yes you need to be active to make sure employees don't slack off but don't question what they do every second of every day. Nobody wants to work in that kind of environment. Let employees impress you, let them grow, give them the power to do their job. That is how managers should manage employees, don't be a hassle, be there when they need you.

This is a great advice for managers. Although they are few example for where micromanaging is needed, for the most part it does not work, and employees will hate it. Overall it will make the company worst off because by micromanaging it will not yield better results. In order for your company to grow, you need to empower your employee and as the video stated you need to make employees feel like they are shaping the business. You will have great work environment if you let employees do more things freely, which will lead to better results in your company.

By micromanaging a company you are then restricting your employees personalities and ideas. Often time you will find that company that are micromanaged the employees are not as motivated to work, and then in turn get less work done. If you allow people to just do their jobs work with the best results. I find that this video makes some very good points, when people are always looking over my work and telling my how to do my job i know i feel less motivated to work.

AdSpace Ink: Your employees shape your business This was a really great video. I felt like the advice was definitely something more managers should hear and accept, but I also see how it is very hard to put the possibility of failure or success into someone else's hands. Ultimately you have to recognize and trust that you hired the right people for the job. Teach in a constructive way then step back and let the work get done by the people you are paying to do it.

TITLE - AdSpace Ink: Your employees shape your business
I think this video made great points and used a powerful example to explain why it is dangerous to micromanage your employees. As the title says, your employees shape your business, so if they are not at their best, your business is not at it's best. I've had a manager that micromanaged her employees so much, nothing was getting accomplished because it took too long to do everything her way. It is important as a manager to understand that your way may not always be the best way.

When you give your employees structured freedom they tend to be more accountable for their work and will work harder to do their best because they feel that they are an important part of what they do. Let your employees impress you, let them grow in their work and give them the power they need to do their job to the best of their ability.

This video reminds of how to be a good leader, you must encourage your employees to be productive and creative. Being a owner comes with a lot of responsibility. Its up to you to ensure your company is doing well, sometimes the pressures of owning leads you to be inconsiderate and not trust the people that you hired. If you allow someone to do the job you hired them to do you will find out that people usually love coming up with creative ideas the tend to help your company positively in the long run.
