I agree whole-heartedly with there being no point in going into business if you can’t change people’s lives. Unfortunately, I find that there is a bad analogy comparing a business to painting a picture. Art truly is in the eye of the artist. Perfection to some might be an abstract painting with blobs of paint thrown together in no particular order, while to others it might be an intricate and meticulous portrait as they are describing in the article.

INSTANT MBA: Richard Branson: 'Building A Business Is Like Painting A Picture'
Planning is the most important stage of creating a business. To succeed in a venture, we have to determine the purpose of the business and how exactly it would operate in today's economy. The article gives a good example by comparing the process of creating a company with the process of creating a painting. Entrepreneurs must be careful when designing "the sketch" of their business, and every detail must be meticulously planned. Some firms fail because their owners neglected to picture the business idea before going into business, so patience and planning are critical elements to make a business opportunity thrive.

Instant MBA : Richard Branson ‘Building a Business Is Like Painting a Picture’
I really enjoyed this article. Entrepreneurs should always approach creating a business with the same delicacy as painting a picture with the end result in mind to inspire people’s lives. I love that idea and hope to use it in my career some day. It takes time and patience to create a masterpiece but if done correctly,
people will talk about it. That is the same idea with a business. You want people talking.

INSTANT MBA: Richard Branson: Building A Business is Like Painting a Picture
This article gives a good comparison of business making to painting a picture. Really in reality you can compare running a business to any passion you have. Whether it is a relationship, dance instructing, playing sports, or riding a horse. All of these things, if you have a passion for it, you will always try and complete you hobby with perfection. I loved playing softball 9th-12th grade, but since I started so late in life I had a lot of catching up to do because all the other girls had played for years. I did it with seriousness and with a passion. By softball season in the 9th grade I was starting for my varsity team. Treat your business like a passionate hobby and you will succeed.
