I would definitely share this link with friends and colleagues. Thank you Dr. Wyld. I think this video hits home and is so real. It makes you think of how precious life is. I actually had a life changing experience when I got in a bad car accident at the young age of 22. I can relate on how your life changes because you have had a life changing experience. I will never look at life the same or take it for granted. Every morning I thank the Lord for another day. Until you have these type of experiences do you know that life is really precious and you have to value each day to the fullest.

Ric Elias gives a beautiful speech highlighting these ideas: life is too short, the importance of positive energy when working towards goals, and the satisfaction of being a good parent. All of these thoughts came from a near death and traumatic experience which I can relate to. Where his epiphany moment was from a plane scare, mine was from a recent car crash; a woman hit me on the interstate causing a five car accident. I walked away with a story to tell and no harm done...however and in my heart, I know if it happened slightly differently I would not be here. This moment has made me realize everything Ric Elias has realized with the exception of being a good parent. I do try to be a better son though.
The three above ideas have really allowed me to be a better person by eliminating the unnecessary priorities out of my life. I strive to do only what creates value now. I am not perfect at it, but I am better than what I was yesterday and the day before.

This video was very inspiring. I can not imagine what I would go through if I knew my life was about to end in just a few moments. I think the 3 things that Ted realizes are all very real:It all changes in an instant. I regretted allowing my ego to get involved. Dying is not scary. It is important that we live every day like it is our last. We put off so many things because we think we will change it later on down the road. The scary thing is that we may not have a later on down the road. Our time could be tomorrow. I question myself to say "What would I change if I knew my last breath was about to come?"

This video makes you think about what's important in life. We get caught up in everyday life and forget that life is short and we should be doing things different. Sometimes it takes a near death experience to make that change but it's something that we should all live by everyday. I often think that if today was my last day would I be happy with the way I lived my life? And don't get me wrong some days I don't live that way because I get stressed out and just want to shut down but it helps me change my attitude a lot of the time. Your outlook on life is everything, if your negative then your more than likely going to have a bad day and if your positive then it's easier to not let things drag you down.

I think the person in the plane crash learned some valuable lessons the day of the crash. When you are involved in a plane crash, you won't be able to realize certain things you wish you could of handled differently. You will live with the regrets of the past, and you will dwell on your mistakes. If you survive the crash, you will definitely want to be the best human being possible.

We shouldn’t waste our lives worrying about the negative, petty things that come our way. Life is too short and it is more important to be with family and friends. We need to focus on being our best and build strong relationships with others. I liked the speakers advice asking the audience to imagine if they were to be in a plane crash what they would get done and what would they change about their lives.

This man has quite an amazing story to tell. Too many of us get caught up in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives and routines that we forget what is really important in life. If we only get one life to live it is far too short to put off our dreams and desires for some other day. The biggest thing that I take from this video is that we need to focus on eliminating our negative energy. As the guy in this video said, we shouldn't try to be right all the time; instead we should choose to be happy.

This was a great video. I have not seen an interview with someone from this plan crash. What I took away from this video is that live today and to not put anything on hold. Cherish the loved ones around you and stop wasting time on meaningless things that are not that important to you. Eliminating negativity is such a great thing to do in all aspects of your life, business and relationships. I have never had a near death experience but I'm sure if I did, I would thinking more like him.

This was a great video! I really like this because of the simplicity of these things that lead to a happier life. Unfortunately for most of us we don;t realize it until it's too late or after something traumatic happens. I can definitely pull away from this video the portion about not postponing anything that we should or want to do. It's something that I do daily because of school or work obligations but I shouldn't be afraid of shrugging that off every once-in-awhile and living the way I want. I personally made the effort to let go of things that were negative in my life and just focus on being happy. I can tell you that it's a constant struggle but that in my efforts I enjoy things much much more now. Someday I hope to be able to experience his third point.

This is a great video. It's amazing how effect storytelling is when presenting any type of point. Life is shorter than we all realize. Oftentimes, we get this idea that we will live forever and nothing is going to take us away. In reality, our lives could stop at an instant. Everything that we have planned, every dream that we dream, and every goal that we pursue could all become worthless and meaningless in the quickest moments. It is critical that we live our lives to the fullest and without a continual fear of failure and feeling of invincibility. When we begin to truly be thankful for the things that we currently have in our lives and savor every moment that we have with our friends and family, then when that moment of dying comes, we will lie there feeling accomplished that we lived our lives with happiness, by taking risks, and by living our dreams. This was a great video and just shows the importance of making every moment special and never letting a day go by where we don't continually pursue the dreams and goals that we have in our lives.

I too have learned about near death experiences and it does change your outlook on life. I feel the same way as he does. My ultimate goal in life is to be a great Mom to all the children that I have. I also try to stay positive in life. When I don't understand why something bad has happened to me I still thing of the positive outcomes it has produced. I would argue that 99% of the time there is always something positive that comes from negative things in life.

This was an inspirational video! Life is short and everything can change in an instant. It is important to not waste time on trivial things so we can make way for things that are truly important to us. Sometimes we may have to put our dreams on the back burner but we should never stop reaching towards them. The closest I’ve had to a near death experience was getting into a car accident with my boyfriend last semester. We weren’t hurt but the airbags went off and the car was totaled. Thinking back on that situation, if one thing would’ve changed, things could’ve been a lot worse. I’m thankful that it wasn’t worse but I try to live every day like that accident could happen again. I don’t want to regret anything in my life and I feel like this video has good lessons to live by.

This video is extremely touching and while I am not yet a father, this video makes me want to be the best dad possible. It often takes almost losing or losing something to make us appreciate what we really have, because it could always be worse.

The speaker in this video has survived a plane crash, ever since then, he has lived life to the fullest. Everyone should live life to the fullest everyday. A song that would go great as a background to this video would be Live Like You Were Dying by Tim McGraw because the song kinda talks about the same thing, living life to the fulletst.

Having a traumatic experience can make a person change their outlook on life. We go from this mindset of thinking that we have 60-70 more years left to live, and something traumatic, like Ric's plane crash, happens to us and we realize that life is not forever, that one day it will all be over. While we may have this whole list of things we want to do and achieve in our lives, we may not get to do them all because something unexpected could happen to us and we'd be gone forever. We need to live for now and realize that life doesn't wait for us to be ready.
