Students, Please view and comment on this link of the day - yes, for your education, but also for the points, of course! Watch the video below: TITLE - Ric Elias: 3 things I learned while my plane crashed Then, post a comment in reply to this discussion thread. Again, what to post? Here are some ideas: + What did you take away from the video? + How does the video relate in some way to your past experience (work, as a consumer, family, school, etc.)? + How might you use these ideas in your own career? Good luck! David

Life is short and we should not waste it it by being negative. We should also try to not have any regrets. Being spontaneous is the key to succeed. Do no delay anything if you can. Just go ahead and do it, you will not know when it will be the next time you have the chance to do so. I will use this idea to change my relationship for the best with family and co workers and also stop wasting time with things that do not matter. As the video says just choose to be happy.

Ted realizes 3 great points before he almost died. He realized that negativity shouldn't exist in his life now and if it does he should just left it go. He said that being right all the times with his wife isnt worth it, you start to realize that all the fighting and fussing its not really called for because life is short and you should caress every moment, rather its with your kids or grandparents. This life is worth living so we might as well enjoy it until death because you can die anyday.

Ric Elias: 3 things I learned while my plane crashed
This video really puts what is important in life into perspective. Sometimes it takes a miraculous event to change the way we see our lives, how we interact with others, and what we feel is important. I feel these three points are so important for everyone to understand; we should not have to experience a near-dear situation to realize what is important. Treating others with respect, minimizing negativity and conflict, not waiting around for things to happen (just doing them like Nike), and cherishing loved ones are all so important to leading a life of fulfillment and joy.

Ric Elias: 3 things I learned while my plane crashed
I loved this video. It really made me think about my own life. Ric Elias thought he was going to die in a plane crash and learned three important things about life that day, never put things off, get rid of negative energy in relationships and be the best parent you can be. I can relate to all three things he learned that day and it made me really think about how I live and the changes I need to make in my on life. Life is short, make the best of it, and be happy. You can relate this to business as well. There is always negative energy in the workplace, learn to get rid of it. We always put things off thinking we can do them tomorrow. And of course, be the best employee/leader you can be. Great video!

This video goes well with the saying, life is too short so live it to the fullest. We have always been told enjoy certain points of your life because you won't get to enjoy them later. I was told to enjoy high school baseball because you may to get to play in college, fortunately I did. I was told to enjoy college life because what comes after will not be as fun. My parents who have been around for a while keep on saying they want to travel before its too late. I have always wanted to travel all over the world, thankfully I have been able to, and when I see videos like this one when he says to do everything you want to get done today because there might not be a tomorrow, really puts things into perspective. Eradicate negativity, if you keep this in your life it will be a tough one, luckily I have always been more cup full then empty. The third step of what he talks about I have not yet been able to experience but I look forward to the day I can be a great parent.

TITLE - Ric Elias: 3 things I learned while my plane crashed
Ric Ellias said a few things in this video that stuck with me, but when he talked about the unimportant actions he's done with very important people really touched me. We get carried away in life with unimportant arguments/disagreements that take up valuable time. I also have the tendency to try to fight to be right rather than choose to be happy. No second is promised to you.

The speaker in the video survived a plane crash and a few things have stuck with him. He never wants to postpone anything in his life any longer. He only had one real regret and it was that he let his ego get in the way and try and get rid of negative energy. His last wish was that he really wanted to be able to see his kids grow up. The only thing that maters to him in life and his only goal anymore is to be a great dad.

I really enjoyed this man's story. You rarely experience, or hope you don't, these life threatening events, and to survive it makes your value everything that much more. In life, I already know that my main goal is to start a healthy and financially stable family, no matter how successful I become I already believe it would be nothing compared to having the people I love and who love me be a part of my life.
Career wise, I would say from this video, I would use the skill of focusing on the positives and dealing with the negatives, rather than letting them consume me. This is healthy for me as well as the company.

Ric Elias: 3 things I learned while my plane crashed This video was great. I felt like Elias made the right decisions on things when his plane was crashing. Sometimes you hear about people who are in these near death situations and the thing that they realize is important is living on the edge. So they abandon the life that they were living to go and live it up. Where as this guy saw what was really important. Not wasting time. His family. Building a positive life. I hope that I can keep this speech in the back of my head and think of it when I'm sitting here miserable over something that isn't worth my time.

This video is awesome! In this video you notice that Elias is making decisions and realizing things that most people don't in a situation like this. He saw what was truly important to him and that his family and not wasting his time doing things that won't fulfill his life. This video will for sure be one that stays on my mind when making decisions on what I'm going to do and what I am not going to do with my life.

I think I actually heard this on the radio! I thought it was very deep and interesting. He really paints a picture of the crash. The message is excellent as well. Life is short, so be happy and love your life.

TITLE- Ric Elias: 3 Things I learned while my plane crashed
Traumatic experiences such as this change people. My father had a brain aneurism that nearly took his life, and he has taken the same outlook on life as Ric. Life causes people to forget about what is most important and it is interesting to see how death can reverse this issue. I for one have learned a lot from my fathers personality change since the incident, most importantly, life is precious. Be the best you can in areas of your life that are most important and don’t loose sight of what that truly is.
